Glam, I must have missed something you reported about your eyes. What was causing the blurred eyes, do you wear glasses now or before you had your eyes lasered. It would be lovely to have a meet up with Gemini and Oma if you decide to go to York. I love York.

Gemini, pleased to hear you managed the trip in the back of the sports car. How long will it be if you want to take your mum to the seaside.

Had a fun game of bowls this afternoon. A fellow bowler leant against the wall to change her shoes not realising she was under the hand sanitiser sensor and she got a soaking down one arm. A lady bowler who isn’t playing due to a fall, called in and made our tea. Wish I could say I played well but I would be lying.

It doesn't matter how you played if you enjoyed it Plant
I am going to email the manager of the care home (who wasn't there when we visited on Saturday) for the final details on taking mum out.
Glamma had the after-cataract laser treatment, as I did few years ago,

We had very nice lunch with W, cat lady. She was keen for us to go back to her cottage afterwards where we had never been. Gorgeous views across the sea and countryside! We had a cuppa and met her cat. A nice day.

I need to go to the local shop for a couple of things now, then the quiz at 8. No meal to prepare as we had big lunch, with pudding

Plant, it is taking part that is the good thing, not all can be winners!

glam, I missed it about your eyes as well, my eldest brother has had cataract treatment but upto now not seeing well, he has to go to a clinic now.

Gem, where is it on the coast? That must be one view!

I was at DS1 yesterday and GD1 was saying she wanted a denim jacket, she ordered an oversized one so she could wear it in the winter with a jumper under, when I got home I remembered I ordered 2 a few months ago but they are far too warm for me in the summer months, I have worn the black one so I took her the blue one today, it looked better on her than on me and she loved it!!! I have never worn it and it is the oversize that she wanted. She gets a clothing allowance now so is having to be careful what she buys! I took them a Too Good To Go from the bakers, they were really pleased and now DIL wants a Lidl one at the weekend, if I can get one.

I took the books that I sorted out of the mini library to the second hand place this morning, I go as they open at 9am, it is never busy and one of them men help with the heavy box.

I have just stripped my hanging baskets!!! It is almost impossible to water them when it is warm and there were caterpillars etc in, first time for that, so, they have gone, it is bare now!

Gem, you were right when you said go with flow days can be the busiest.
I did all the usual cleaning, then decided to tidy both freezers.
I've made lists now of what is in each drawer. my second freezer is a chest freezer.
I keep things in bags in there,so i've mad lists of what is in each bag.

Lizzie,i think GD's bike looks fab with the basket on.
Very fortunate that you had a denim jacket that was suitable for GD.

Well looking out,in one direction the sun is shining.
In the opposite direction the sky is black as night.
A little bit of fine drizzle in between.

Nan, yes, Gd2 is really pleased with her bike, just hope it doesn’t get stolen Yes, the denim jacket as the right colour as well. Good for you sorting your freezers out.

Lizzie, Staintondale. Nearish to Scarborough and you can see Flamborough head in the distance.
              Well done on the jacket!

Nan2, I think sometime things just appear to fill our 'free' days!

None of the friends doing the quiz had even heard of Daisy Duck!! (girlfriend of Donald) Understandable I told them, she's only been around since 1940

                  Off to in laws later.

I think we are gardening this afternoon if it stays dry.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

Sunny morning here. All three GC are coming for the day. It is GS1's regular day, and DD2 needed some extra help this week so hers are coming today as well as Friday. I like having all three here. Pizza from the local takeaway (their request) and a treasure hunt. Not sure we will go out as it's only me, OH playing golf, but we shall see.

                    Have a good Tuesday.

I think I am doing something with GD1 today or tomorrow. I really must get the bathrooms cleaned and the kitchen floor washed so I will do that if no GD and baby H.

Enjoy the day with your GC Gemini, a treasure hunt sounds good.

Nanto, well done with the freezer tidying.

Lizzie, well done with the denim jacket, I am sure your GD was delighted with it.

GD not coming today. I understand, she is doing something with her friends and texted me herself to check it is OK, and I said of course. I am disappointed as we haven't seen her since family seaside day, but GS1 is gutted!!!

                            Good morning everyone!

I've read all your posts, but you've been far too busy for me to comment on everything! But it's still lovely to read.

Gem - It's nice for GD that she's doing things with friends, but I'm sure GS1 is disappointed. I'm sure you will keep the two boys well occupied though.

My GD1 is doing a theatre course this week. They are doing Annie - rehearsing all day every day with a performance on Friday evening. GD is playing one of the orphans, and is very excited. So I've just got GD2 and Cooper today. GD is currently drawing the most delicious cupcake in the world, and we are going to cook lunch together later on.

Both dogs are tired after two full days together, so are sleeping a lot.

I really need to cut the grass today, it's like a jungle out in our garden. A week or so's neglect and everything has gone wild.

Oma - I could have done with bringing you my ironing. After two or three weeks without one, it's piled up a bit.

Plant - have a good time with GD1, and don't tire yourself out with cleaning.

Lizzie - you are so good to your GCs. I bet that denim jacket will be treasured.

Nanto - I hope your in laws are ok, and it stays fine for your gardening this afternoon.

Garden duties have been carried out.

Lizzie, i don't know if you can get our freeview channels where you are.
We watch a programme on All4, called My Floating Home.
Tonights episode is about a couple in Amsterdam.

Weather is a mix of sun and cloud, but i'm sure i can hear thunder.
