Oma, the red kites are beautiful to watch! DD lives in Plant's area so we often see them circling overhead. They're very big birds even from a distance! One of DD's friends had things taken out of her washing basket by them. Obviously fancied something soft for their nest!!

Daisy, glad the day went well. There was a lovely photo on FB of the Birthday boy and his wife. A day of taking things easy for you and OH methinks!

It has been grey and miserable here for a couple of days and it rained through the night. I did a bit of tidying yesterday and today I really must do the dreaded ironing.

Been to GP's this morning for blood tests and BP check for my Care's health check. They want me to do a week's BP check at home ( why couldn't the GP have told me that when he asked me to make the appointment?) and she couldn't get any blood! Came home with four plasters on me and a bruise developing on my hand.

Now that OH has been given steroids, his itching and rash have almost cleared up and he has had no other reaction to the chemo. Fingers crossed for the rest of the treatment.

On a good note, we are going to Scotland to celebrate DB and SiL's Golden Wedding next month. I'm not sure how they've managed it, because of the lockdown rules up there, but it seems we shall be a select few. We're staying at the hotel for a couple of nights and then having another couple of nights in a different hotel. Looking forward to it, but will have to buy something decent to wear. My wardrobe consists mostly of jeans and shorts at the moment!

Plant - I hadn't posted a picture. WeeGranny and others saw the ones my DIL had posted on FB. I've put a picture of the cake up in my Party in the rain thread on here. I didn't take the picture of DS and DIL - I think it was one of the GSs.

Well I have had a lovely Birthday

Started with a Text from DS then DD and GS1 came bearing gifts cards and flowers ,
Sister rang and had a good chat to her lots of texts from my Niece's and nephews ,

Several E cards too thank you ladies

Then SIL's Parents called in with more flowers , my Elderly neighbour had been before them with Flowers too ,

Then M&C face timed and we had a good laugh they are naughty the things they were saying about getting old

Then we are just back from having a nice meal out ,
Sun has shone its been a lovely day

Oma, pleased you have had a lovely birthday.

No sunshine for us today. it was overcast till about 4ish.
Then it started raining. Turned very cool,so we have the heating on.

Gem, the post office is only two short streets away.
I like to go early then its done with. Only went to post a couple of cards.

Fairly good visit with mum but she did seem very tired.
All good with the GC, and GS2 enjoyed having his bath here before I took them home.

Dentist for me at 9.30 tomorrow so I will have to be out early. That troublesome tooth going at last. Since she last repaired it it has given me no pain and I could even eat on it. I was considering asking to delay taking it out, when a chunk broke off, so I was glad I didn't cancel.

Good morning, WeeGranny, how nice, a few days away visiting family in Scotland. I am pleased to see their are no more reaction to hubbies chemo. About the blood, they always have problems getting mine and I end up with the biggest bruises ever.

Oma, pleased you had a good birthday, you would enjoy the meal out for a change. You will have a house full of flowers.

It is so humid here, rain forecast all day, I need to do some shopping as my swimming friend and his wife are coming for lunch, his wife has started aqua now, she had a brain operation last year, a tumour, all went well but it has affected her sight so she can't play tennis etc and has started aqua.

We went to aqua yesterday, the man came first to fix my tap, looks nice and such a friendly, helpful man. He adjusted a few cupboard doors etc so very handy.

It is getting darker here instead of lighter so the rain must be on the way.

Dentist this morning, then GS1 to collect from school this afternoon. He got a trampoline at the weekend. He has long envied his cousins theirs and wanted one very much. I bet he wishes it was like the old days when I picked him up from school and looked after him at his house, so he can go on it!

WG glad the Steroids are helping hubbys rash and he is doing ok on the chemo ,
is your arm sore today from the bloods bet you have a good bruise there ,
Although they get blood from me easy I still bruise easy too .

Nanto A Basket full of puppies is what we all need to make us smile

Off to The Range and IKEA this morning ,
The vintage prints I ordered for my spare room finally arrived , they only small post card size but want fairly large frames to put them in .
B for once isn't moaning about IKEA he knows there isn't anywhere else to get them

Oma, she hasn't seen the dress yet, depending on the weather I may go this afternoon.
Enjoy your shopping at Ikea, is it almost back to normal again? We don't have to wear masks now in the shops etc and I must say it feels very strange.

Gem, children love the trampolines. GD2 often goes to JumpXL, all trampolines of all sizes and she loves it, when we went to DS2 on Friday, she was hoping it would stay dry so that she could go on theirs. She has a birthday party tomorrow, surfing lesson at Scheveningen! She will like that, loves any kind of water sport.

Good morning everyone, including Nanto's basket of gorgeous puppies.

I didn't make it back on here last night. I took Eva out for a quick walk and got soaked literally right through to the skin. By the time I got home, and dried out I was exhausted and went to bed.

I'm struggling to catch up this morning as well but I'll be back later.

Oma I am so sorry that I missed your Birthday sending belated good wishes and a virtual bouquet to go with your other flowers x
I'm having a lazy day today I have just got out of the shower and dried my hair off so will go down to the shops later for a stroll and fresh air.
It may even cross my mind to do some ironing if the urge takes me but not promising anything yet there are only little bits and bobs to be ironed so nothing desperate.
