    Morning ladies ,
Daisy its wet here too hasn't stopped for days the flowers in the garden are looking droopy with the weight of all the rain
I hope it doesnt dampen the day , i'm sure you will still have a lovely Birthday celebration for your boy

Lizzie getting stuck in traffic and not being able to get out of it is a nightmare but what can you do but sit there till it moves

Nanto that reminds me I bought goosberry's to make a crumble I will have to use them maybe tomorrow .

Popping to DD's this morning , B made a chocolate cake with Salted caramel yesterday its lovely but far too big for us two , so we have taken a couple of slices and I will take the rest to DD , that lot will demolish it ,

My Niece her 19 yr old son and 21 yr old daughter all tested positive yesterday so that household in isolation for 10 days ,
Then I heard a friend of my DS her little boy who is 8 tested positive too

Good Morning Everyone I hope the day finds you all well ,
I was surprised as to how common this eye problem is and so pleased it can be corrected to some extent I too feel squemish about the injections but have been assured it will not be painful and I will not see the needle coming as it is injected onto the side of the eye I hope no one is telling me fibs

Gems glad to hear Henry has settled back home and is being spoilt its a pity he can't talk and tell you about his adventures do you think he may have been local and got locked in somewhere, workmen have been doing work in the empty bungalow next door but one to me and I had to go and ask them to check when going home that Oliver had not sneaked in as he used to go and visit the old man before he died I was worried he may get into one of the cupboards and get locked in.

Its all busy behind the scenes for my DDs party next Saturday I'm going to do a lot of the finger foods and G her partner is setting everything up in his garden so lets hope it is dry for us to have an enjoyable day, he has bought picnic rugs so people can sit in their socially distanced groups I'm certain she knows something is going on if she does she better act surprised for his sake as he has gone to so much trouble he is such a nice man .

The sun is shining here today not a sign of rain so the job of watering will be next on my list.I've done all the washing that needed doing and hung out to dry everything prepped for lunch today I am being lazy and having a frozen cheesecake with fresh strawberries & cream for dessert I usually make Jim a creamed rice pudding with nitmeg but I dropped my favourite dish last night it went into millions of pieces shattered all over the kitchen so that put paid to the rice pud until I get another dish that suits.

Have a good day ladies talk soon xx glamma

Glamm, send some sunshine to Daisy. Pleased to hear your eye condition can be treated. Family very excited about organising the surprise party for your DD.

Gemini, I wonder where that cat has been, lovely that you have a cat sitter that he loves.

No rain here but very windy again. I was going to tidy the courtyard but decided to change my bed linen instead. Weather might be better tomorrow. I feel very sorry for anyone who dislikes sport, it is on at least two channels, then Wimbledon starts tomorrow. For some reason, I have a swollen right ankle, feels a bit tender to touch but walking is okay.
I have been watching at least 10 Red Kites flying overhead, they love the wind. I think my naughty neighbour was feeding them as they were diving into her garden.

Lizzie you are a popular GM, pencil case making and dress making. Well done to your GD for finding a job.

Nanto, love a fruit pie. I have been looking in my crock pot recipe book, I must try and use it more. Hope your OH finds some interesting bargains.

Plant it was blowing a gale during night and lashing rain it must be traveling the country ,
Are the Red kites classed as troublesome down your way a bit like Magpies are here ? ,

The sport is a bit much , Im lucky B only likes certain games and even then he sometimes watches on his lap top with ear phones on ,
To be honest I don't watch a lot of evening TV , Im not into Soaps or reality TV so not much to watch .

I got to Garden centre bought a couple of plants for the bottom boarder ,
These are to replace a couple that died due to Storm keep jumping on them trying to catch the squirrel on the fence and next doors cats,
Im going to have to put something in front when he comes to deter him jumping at the fence and landing on my plants

Glamm nothing wrong with taking a short cut now and then , im sure the cheesecake will be yummy
Daisy's hubby has regular jabs in his eyes im sure she will reassure you about them

Hope Daisys DS's party is going well and Glamm you get good weather for your DD's next week

I thought it was going to rain, but i took a risk and put the towels out to dry.
It was overcast all day,but they did dry.

Glamma, hope it stays dry for the party next week.

Oma, the Red Kites were introduced to the area some time ago but they have multiplied very quickly, they are carrion really but as people have been feeding them they have become a bit of a nuisance. They should feed on dead animals such as roadkill but they have been known to take small live animals. They are quite a sight in the sky, the crows do not like them and they get under them and it interferes with the thermals the kites need to fly. They must have amazing eyesight to spot food on the ground.

Gemini, should I move this post to another heading?

                  Overcast again today.

I've been up since 4.30. Pottered about quietly.
Went to the post office for it opening at 7.30, but he must be late, as usual.
The lady that works in there, is always open on time when its her turn.
Will have another walk on later.

Plant, Magpies are a nuisance here. We didn't used to see many, but now there are loads.
We have had a few birds eggs in the garden, and hubby is convinced its the Magpies that have been raiding the nests.
They don't call them villains of the bird world for no reason.

Looking forward to hearing how Daisy's day was yesterday.

                  Coffee time now.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

How annoying to find the post office closed Nan2. Is it far away?
Plant, that's fine here, but you could always start a thread about red kites if you wanted to. How is your ankle today?
I hope Daisy and family had a good day yesterday.

Busy day here. I have a Sainsbury's delivery this morning . I didn't get round to going yesterday, and am busy today so booked a delivery.
OH and I are visiting my mum this afternoon. To allow for travelling and lateral flow test we need to leave here around 1. I am also picking up GD and GS2 from school today as I have dental appointment on Friday afternoon. DD is working late and SIL teaches karate on Monday, so GS is having his bath here then I will take them home for 8. Quiz night, they are delaying it until 8.30 for me, but I doubt I will be here for the start.

You may notice I have posted test photos in almost all sections. This was not because I was bored! The reason is to try to work out in which sections some members are unable to see photos. So, if you are one of those who has been unable to see some photos in the past, please check these photos when you have time, and just leave a simple Yes or No to let us know if you can see the photo. Thanks.

                    Have a good day everyone

Good Monday morning everyone - the start of a brand new week.

Nanto - thank you for thinking of us yesterday. I'll write about it separately, but I'm very tired this morning. It's cool and damp here after torrential rain yesterday. I could definitely do with a cup of that coffee in your picture.

Glamm - no they're not telling you porkies about the eye treatment - "this won't hurt". They give you a local anaesthetic so there's no pain, but as always with LAs you feel a bit of pressure. The eye is held open and injection goes into the top left hand corner (the white part). Sometimes OH finds his eye is red for a couple of days, sometimes not. He also finds his forehead is a bit tender afterwards, as though it's slightly bruised, but it's nothing much. Because he gets so worried and tense beforehand he feels washed out for a couple of days afterwards, but the treatment has definitely improved the condition and that's the main thing.

Oma - what plants did you get for your bottom border? I hope Storm leaves them alone this time.

Plant - I agree about the sport on tv at the moment. Like Oma I don't watch much tv, but for some people it must be disappointing to find sport on several main channels at once.

EDIT - Ooops - Gem and Oma posted while I was typing - I'll come back later, ladies. xx

Good morning, I will check all the photo's later Gem, very humid here, I have been to the next village for a few things I needed, the man is busy with the tap in the kitchen.

I did my sewing yesterday afternoon, I don't know if GD2 will wear it but it is the same style as the one I had to alter for her so she may.

I bet you are tired Daisy but I am sure you all had a lovely day. Havre a quiet day today reflecting on yesterday.

Busy day for you Gemini, I hope you find your mum in a cheerful mood, I am sure she will be very pleased to see you.

Oma, the are not too noisy, they have a sort of squeal. I hate magpies, not too bothered with them, we had a pair in the garden this year.

Bowls for me this afternoon. Not raining atm so I might get the courtyard cleared of a feathery moss and give it a good sweep.
