Gem, I went down to the garage, the man in the next garage was saying that he had spilt..........petrol!!! Now I know.

I just phoned my garage to thank them for being so helpful and that I had discovered where the petrol smell came from, he asked if I had a bomb making neighbour.

Good afternoon ladies
Very late for me , I had a very bad night last night
No sleep at all , I mean AT ALL not even 10 minutes but of course when it was time to get up I felt sleepy

Anyway was having the dog today so had to stay awake then at 9am DD rang to say she had taken the day off so did we want him Friday instead ,
That was better for me it meant I could lay down for a hour ,

I slept for 1-1/2 hours and felt a little more human so sorted myself out and went to Morrisons , came home had lunch and then to Aldi ,
having a cup of tea then going to have another nap as my head is pounding .

I will pop back later and catch up , have a good day ladies xxx

Lizzie,pleased you found where the petrol smell was coming from.

Been very warm again. Clouded over an hour ago,just for a short while.

Did a load of dark washing,it dried in no time.
Cleaned all the back windows, sun was too much for doing the front.
Cleaned up all downstairs.
We had cottage pie,brocolli and gravy for dinner.
Tonights snack will be crumpets.

I got line of towels dried in no time Nan2.

I took my luxury camping chair with integral sun canopy (lockdown one purchase!) and sat in the library garden between customers. We were quite busy, and the lady who used to do home visits for my mum's feet came in. We had a good chat, it was lovely to see her. She was pregnant last time I saw her and her baby is almost 2!
I found a book that has been on my wish list for while, waiting for a Kindle deal. I didn't want to risk anyone else borrowing it before I go back, so I took this one out!
I have a burst blood vessel in my eye. It happened once before years ago. I didn't know until OH told me.

OH is playing golf later. I need a few birthday cards, so will either go to the local card shop or further afield.

Good morning ladies , slept a little better last night , not loads but at least some .
We going to drive to Rothbury today just to get out really and I know there is a quirky little shop there sells unusual things so I am sure I will come home with something

Nanto Cherry and coconut cake is scrummy , im a sucker for a cake not cream cakes although I will eat thembut good old fashioned cakes

Look at me, first on today, I woke up at 5.30 and couldn't get back to sleep, it felt very warm. I opened the windows and made a cup of tea. Very cloudy,we had some rain overnight. I have to go to the hospital to pick up my prescription tablets. Honest I was up at 5.30, my IPad ran out of battery.

Good morning one and all. Yet again I'm dashing in and out! It wasn't like this during the lockdowns!!

It's been one of those weeks where all parts of our family have had arrangements pending which may - or may not - involve us in some way. So late last night DS2 said could we have the girls and Cooper today. I offered them a sleepover, but the girls have karate tonight and the dentist at lunch-time tomorrow. So I've just been to collect them and Cooper for the day and will take them back in time for their karate class. We may have them tomorrow morning as well, and just before all this OH and I decided it would be nice to have a barbecue on Saturday and invited some friends round. At that stage I thought I'd got time to catch up with numerous loads of washing, plus whatever ironing it makes, plus give the house a quick once over and cut the lawn. Food will have to wait till Saturday when Sainsburys deliver. It looks as though Friday afternoon could be busy with me trying to get everything done then!

Now the window cleaners have just arrived, and both dogs are very excited. Luckily the girls are quite tired after a busy day yesterday and are having screen time for a bit.

Why do I do this to myself!!!!

Hello Ladies its seems to have been a while since I caught up with everyone,these past few days I have been suffering from an attack of sciatica from my right buttock right down my right leg the pain is indescribable and I just can;t get comfy even with pain killers,I have used deep heat and those heat pads which eases it somewhat but the discomfort is still there, I'm just wondering if I have pulled something when I have been moving furniture etc when decorating.

Daisy/Plant do you have any knowledge about stopping squirrels from digging in my front garden pots which have my miniture fushia plants in they where very well established and ready for repotting into the tubs but over the last 2 nights squirrels have tried to dig them up again,my friend suggested white pepper have you heard of this ?

Gems I have received the initial appointment for the laser treatment for my eyes this is part of the reason I am not posting so much as my sight is blurred its quite scary to be honest but the clinic
said all will be ok once the laser treatment is complete.

Tomorrow the 4th is my eldest sons 5th wedding anniversary how quickly the time has passed this time on 2nd John DD &I where landing in Las Vegas who would have thought my life would have changed so much since that time.

Our weather today is a wee bit overcast but its dry and mild my summer clothes are going in and out of the wardrobe like there is no tomorrow I wish it would make its mind up.x

Off now to sit and have a rest and replace heat pad on my poorly back will catch up soon x

Hello ladies im back , we had a lovely day out and the sun was hot , I bought a couple of things from the Quirky shop ,
A pair of Highland cows and a Wall Hare very unusual ,
Oh and a lovely Maroon hand bag from the PDSA shop for £4 still had its tags on and even the tissue packaging in so I was well pleased ,
B said why another handbag ? well it would be rude not too wouldn't it and come on £4 is so cheap I couldnt walk out without it put a pic of them on

Glamm OUCH you must be in so much pain , its one of those pains even resting doesn't help does it , I feel sorry for you lv xxx

Daisy you will be meeting yourself coming back at this rate , just as well the girls are happy with screen time today xx

Afternoon noon all.

Yesterday we got our cat's ashes from the vet and we have scattered her near the tree in the garden, under some gravel and we have a lovely memorial stone now stood where she lies
We are relieved to have her back home where she belongs.
Although the vet bill was a bit expensive it was no more than we expected as we requested a private cremation.

Today we went to see OH's sister. We sat in the garden chatting. Unfortunately SIL wasn't in the best of health as she broke her arm a few weeks ago but we managed to have a chuckle as we chatted, I'm sure our visit would have helped her mood.
