Nanto - I don't go to car boots either. I'd rather have the lie in.
Plant - the weather has been going from awful to atrocious here all day, and I was wondering how the campers are getting on in Weymouth! I hope they're ok. The garden always looks tidier when the lawns have been done. I'm glad I did ours yesterday - there was no hope for it today.
Gem - it sounds as though your halfway house session was fun - especially the buggy ride back. It's time you had a day to relax and unwind. xx
Oma - those goodies from the food fair sound wonderful! Was parking ok in the end?
Lizzie - I'm sure none of us had dishwashers when we were younger and we coped and if the cupboard will be more useful then not replacing yours sounds the best thing to do. My DS2 and family have got a slimline dishwasher (it's a very small kitchen) and they manage just fine with it - but they do more hand washing up than I do.
We had a lovely couple of hours with friends this morning - coffee and cakes and since it was then just about lunch-time a little pre-dinner drink - just the one! I've been cooking and baking all afternoon ready for the family coming for coffee and lunch tomorrow. We're so looking forward to seeing them. I don't think I've seen one of the nieces for about 3 years. Her eldest son had just started uni, and he graduates this year.

Daisy you must have missed my post about the campers, they called it off because of the weather. Their friends went ahead of them and were unable to pitch their tent so came home
Have a lovely time with your family tomorrow. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Daisy we got there for them opening so got parked nicely , in a little car park at the entrance , only space for about 10 cars so we were lucky ,
It was a bit bumpy with his wheelchair but as its electric it managed fine
The Cinnamon buns were awful very dry we couldn't eat them , They looked the part but didn't live up to expectations sadly
Hope you have a lovely day with your family xx
Gem Squirrels are so funny but can be a pest when they become bold , we had one came to the patio windows every morning to be fed , we assume it died as it hasn't been around this year .
Plant the way the weather is they were right to call it off it would be miserable camping in this , always another better time .

Good morning everyone.
A bright and sunny one, but it's breezy and looks cold!
A nice drive to auntie's this morning, then lunch with her. The bistro where she lives has finally reopened. They opened again recently just for residents to take food to their own flats, but now have two sittings and less tables. Auntie has booked a table for lunch, then we will go back to her place.
Quiz night tonight.
Daisy, it must have been good to spend that time with friends.
I hope everyone has a good day and week ahead.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning Gem, and all who follow.
Have a lovely lunch and visit with your Auntie. I bet she will be thrilled to see you.
It's a beautiful sunny morning, but heavy showers and thunderstorms fore cast for later.
Dinner is prepared. Braising steak, onions, mushrooms, carrots and celery in the slow cooker.
Colcannon mash. I bought that ready made in Morrisons.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Nan2, I hope that sunshine comes our way for all of us!
Auntie sounds very excited about our visit. She phoned at the weekend once the week's menu was in so we could make our choices and she was going to take them in as soon as they open this morning“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good Monday morning everyone. It looks like another week of the sort of weather we should have had in April, so your sunshine graphic is very welcome, Nanto.
Your dinner sounds delicious, but for once I'm all prepared - chicken casserole, mash, rice and vegetables for our visitors. I made a pineapple tatin which has turned out rather sticky. I hope it's ok!
Plant - sorry I missed your post about your campers. It was the most sensible thing to do given the weather! Better luck to them next time. I feel sorry for the camp site owners though. All this time in lockdown and then when they can finally throw their field doors open the weather turns against them.
Gem - have a lovely time with your auntie. I'm sure she'll be overjoyed to see you after all this time. xx
Ladies, whatever the weather's doing, I hope you all have a good day, and those who are feeling poorly are getting better. xx

Good morning all
Yet another miserable wet day and its not very warm. Will the heating ever be turned off??
Our cat's memorial stone arrived today. Just waiting for a message from the vet and we will pick up her ashes. Must admit had a few tears when I saw the stone.
Oma enjoy your shopping trip
Plant are you looking for a mat for inside the shower or outside. We have a wooden 'duck ' board to stand on when we come out of the shower. Its non slip
All this talk of lunch is making me peckish. I think we might have spaghetti bolognese for lunch
Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Well went to Dolton park with the hopes of getting a new Painting for the sitting room , Only two I seen both were in Mirrored frames and I don't want that .
I did get my Shower gel from Molton Brown though so not a total waste of a trip,
We went to The new Morrisons super store there and bought a huge side of Salmon to cut into portions so happy with that
Plant it isnt under cover , well it has like sails stringed between the shops but even when its sunny its like a wind tunnel .
Why when you want something you just cant get it , as soon as you don't want it anymore you see stuff everywhere

Oma, I love a side of salmon, when it is on offer at the Lidl I always get one. I had to google where Dolton Park was.
I have just come in from coffee at DS1, of course it managed to rain! I wasn't as wet as I was on Wednesday.
I went with my neighbour to the DIY place this morning, we were there before 10am, it opened at 10am and there was quite a queue but we got in with the first group, as we left there was so much traffic waiting to get in. We both went for a cupboard, he got the one he wanted but I have had to order mine, if all goes as planned it will be delivered this week.
Gem, pleased you enjoyed your afternoon out on the golf course, is it in York?
Daisy, well done with all the cooking. I hope you all had a good lunch.
Mimi, you would shed tears when you saw the stone. It is cold and miserable here as well, the forecast is better for the end of the week, we will be into June before we get the sun.

Plant, when it comes to meals hubby is very honest, too honest sometimes.
If i make something he has enjoyed he will give praise.
But, if i make something he wasn't fussy over,he will go on and on about it.
Daisy,your meal sounds lovely.
The weather was beautiful this morning, but we have just had a bit of rain.
