Enfys, lovely keepsakes. The memory bear is beautiful.
I think they are becoming very popular.

Thanks Nan2. They didn't have any symptoms, it was picked up at the weekly testing.

Good morning. Just started raining here.

Roast chicken dinner today. A few days ago we were gifted some apples from a friends neighbour.
So, hubby asked me to make an apple pie. Last time i made pastry,i had some left over, which i put in the freezer.
There will be enough for the pie,so i took it out yesterday.

            Good morning Nanto / Ladies
Nanto we bought apples yesterday to make apple pie or apple something or other depending what we fancy ,
I like a mixture of eating apples and cookers , Handy you still have pastry in

Did my usual weekend house clean then had a shower and ironed ,
just the floors to wash but B going to suck up all the leaves from the drive , garden and down the alley way , So i will leave that till he is finished as he is sure to come in for something dragging leaves with him

He bought a weatherproof plug box yesterday to put outside to plug Christmas lights in , the main cable has to come inside so he has a huge drill out ready to drill through the wall behind the TV , then he has to screw it to outside wall , im dreading the noise but it should be quick and little mess ,

I forgot to say yesterday I received two Christmas cards is that a first

Have a good Sunday ladies i will pop back later xx
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good Sunday morning, Nanto, Oma and all who pop in later.

Nanto - what glorious colours to cheer up this dismal weather, although it is at least light here today. Yesterday we had the lights on all day.

No plans in the Daisy domain for today. I'd like to do some gardening if the weather stays dry, so fingers crossed.

Oma - gosh two Christmas cards already! Somebody hasn't wasted their time during lockdown.

Have a good day, everyone. xx

                edited....managed to add the photos.
Enfys they are wonderful and Nana , you are so thoughtful and extremely talented.

I know I've said it before but we do have some particularly wonderful, considerable, loving ladies on GRUS . X

                  Good morning lovely ladies.

Nan2, lovely flowers to brighten the day

Oma, we have no cards yet, that is early! We have a weatherproof outdoor box under the front window for our lights. It is very useful.

Daisy I hope the weather stays dry for the gardening. Don't overdo it though!

The day started sunny, despite a poor forecast. Now it is raining!
We were to take GS1 out for a walk and outdoor (probably under umbrellas) picnic this morning. However DD1's friend who she went for a walk with yesterday is ill today and waiting for a covid test. The friend may not have covid (hopefully not) DD almost certainly won't have caught it as they were outdoors and socially distanced at all times. GS even less likely to have it as he wasn't on the walk. However DD didn't want to take the risk of us catching it, so the walk is off. He had a lovely day out with DD2 and cousins yesterday and it's raining today , and at least at 8 he understands. Hopefully the friend's covid test will come back negative, then I will have GS after school on Tuesday as usual.

No plans today now! We are having a roast, most unusual for us unless we have guests. Pork with apple sauce.

Take care and keep safe everyone.

                    Morning all.

I have just read on the online local newspaper that covid case's have risen considerably in the area where we live which is hardly surprising when neighbours continue having parties and popping in and out of each others houses. One moron is travelling to Wales , just a few miles up the road from here, to see her boyfriend and then to travel to Powys to pick up a handmade birthday cake for her daughter for a birthday party later today. Unbelievable!!

Oma I haven't even opened the packs of birthday cards I brought on line . Have you put the two cards up yet .
The local scouts will not be doing a local Christmas card delivery this year for obvious reasons so posting cards is going to be more expensive this year.

Have a good day everyone, I'm going to get some fresh air while it's still dry out there and taking care to avoid any passing idiots

Enfys, I will look at your pics. Nana is so kind, I wish she would come and talk to us.

I am thinking of writing my cards soon, might as well get them done. I have almost finished my Christmas present buying, just Dil and 2 GS's I have bought or ordered 14 presents so far and that is just family. 3 of those are birthday presents.

I don't know of anyone breaking the rules Mimi, that must be very annoying, almost feel she should be reported.

Lovely sunshine here, being very lazy, not yet showered and dressed. Must get some fresh air today, it rained most of the day yesterday.

I don't know anyone breaking the rules either Plant.
DD3, who lives in a street of very small terraced houses says they have noticed so many people in their street having visitors. Not for childcare and not elderly having care, younger people.
There will always be those who don't think the rules apply to them I suppose.

Sun out again here -a mixed day!
I forget to tell you yesterdays exciting news. OH and I got our first winter fuel payment. £100 each

Oma, I received my first Christmas card from my niece a fortnight ago!!! I hope B doesn't make too much of a mess with his drilling. It is dark , wet and windy here so I have been busy with photo's and going to make myself a calender.

It was a friends birthday the other day, all!!!!!! her visitors arrived 2 by 2, but she said 20 over the whole day, I don't think that is the idea at all.

Daisy, you will be looking forward to your new phone, I have seen the colours.

Gem, I hope DD1s friend is negative, DS1 phoned and he said the grandfather of a friend of GD2 is very ill from Covid, he is in IC and they don't think he will survive, GD2 is very upset about it all.

Aww that's sad Lizzie. DD2 told me the grandad of one of her best friends died last week and the father of another friend. One in his 8o's, one in his 70's. They were both in hospital, seeming to be on the mend (from covid) then died suddenly. This virus seems to be so random in the way it affects people

I don't think 20 people over the day is quite what is expected!

Enfys I love the teddy made for you by Nana. So kind. When my hubby died my DS and DD arranged for someone to make a teddy for me from Paul’s favourite shirt. They put Paul’s wedding ring in the pocket attached to a feather key ring. It made me cry when they gave it to me. Teddy takes pride of place on my bedroom chair.
