Plant, I remember after my father died my mother said the worst thing she had to do was get rid of the vests and underpants. I know when my hubby died I hung onto his dressing gown for years!

Enfys, just do what you can, I can understand you being upset looking at the models etc.

Oma, today we are having meat, potato and vegetable pie. i took it out of the freezer last night.

Enfys just take it slowly. Just do things as and when you feel up to it.

      Nice and sunny here.

Good morning everyone. It's sunny here, so far.

Nanto - your graphic made me smile. Just like Eva and Cooper - butter wouldn't melt in their mouths.

Gem, I hope it stays sunny and you get your day out - I'm sure it will help you sleep better and the forecast for tomorrow looks grim.

Enfys - I'm pleased you've managed to tackle P's wardrobe. It's certainly not an easy task, but perhaps it helps knowing that your kindness will help other people this winter. I can understand you finding it more upsetting to see the beautiful things he's made. He put so much care and love into creating them, but perhaps later on it will help you to still feel close to him. xx Your GS did well to find another job so quickly. I hope it goes well for him.

Plant - I'm so glad you can go back to Aqua next week. But I hope you don't have to travel home in your wet swimsuit! Are the changing rooms open? We start dog training again next week, but I don't think it will be every week as we can only have 4 dogs in the class, and in our class there's usually 8 or 10. I feel so sorry for the people who are trying to re-establish these activities.

Oma - I do hope B doesn't have to wait too long for his replacement laptop. I fed up with trying to dream up different meals as well! I haven't shopped yet this week - I thought if I ran down the fridge and used up a couple of tins of things it might push me into some sort of culinary creativity. I hasn't!! Last night I did jacket potatoes and topped them with onions, garlic, bacon, cherry tomatoes, herbs and topped with Stilton, browned under the grill. I intended to use some mushrooms up as well, but they didn't look very good.

Eva and Cooper have had a busy playful morning, and are now snoozing. What a lovely life they have.

I've still got my Dad's hat and he died 35 years ago! Used to wear it regularly, but now it's in a cupboard. Must have a look at it.I'm sure P's clothes will be gratefully received Enfys.

Lovely sunny day here, at the moment. It's been like this for a few days now. Sunny morning, rain in the afternoon.

Some plants arrived yesterday, so I should get out and plant them or at least, work out where they're going and clear up the fallen apples ( didn't do it the other day).

          Enjoy your day ladies x

WeeGranny - I'd forgotten, I've still got one of my dad's hankies with his initial on. That's a long time, too.

I've got a very sharp kitchen knife that belonged to my paternal grandparents.
Its from the Victorian era,and it gets used most days. Oh, and got a bread board of theirs as well, but its not as old as the knife.

A few Christmas presents have arrived this afternoon. A few more to come yet.

We didn't have as many showers yesterday, I even got the towels dry. I am busy with photo's for the GD's, I have done them both an album each every year, only this year there have been no holidays etc so not as many photo's, I have been thinking about this a while, I am going to make them both one from birth to present time. With having them 2 days a week when they were younger I do have a lot of photo's, now I am sorting them out, memories floating past as I do that, it is a lot of work but I do enjoy doing it, especially when it is raining! I had a visitor yesterday, the young lady from the housing cooperation with her young twin girls, I had a huge bag full of hobby things and asked if she wanted them for the children so she came yesterday, I had so much coloured, patterned, embossed, etc , paper. Scissors etc etc. She was delighted and the girls as well, they played with the cuddly toys that GD2 still has here. I showed her my project of the album, she said "you are so well organised"! I am with some things!

Oma, as I said on FB. Your daughter is amazing!

Gem, I read about your day out, pleased you enjoyed it.

I went to the doctor about the pain in my lower stomach and she said there is nothing to see on the scan, I must have torn a muscle that is connected to the pelvis and that is why it was so painful there, it is much easier now. She gave me my flu jab whilst I was there so that is done.

There was chat about conkers not long ago, a few years ago whilst out with the GD's we found a special conker, I came across the photo yesterday.
