Oma, I hope B's jab goes okay and he doesn't have any side effects. Poor Storm, his mother should have told him how to deal with cats.

Daisy, enjoy your time with the GD's, and I hope the shop will be busy, it has been a very difficult time for them

I hope the back is better today Mimi. Be very careful using talc in the shower, it makes the tray very slippery, well it does in min

My cold is still bothering me, it just will not go away.

Plant, I remember hearing the saying 'A cold lasts a week with medication, 7 days without! 'I have found it to be mostly true.

Plantaholic I do hope the paracetamol worked its magic for you.x I have not had a cold for over a year now must be due to isolating I think there have been days when I have not felt 100% but not cold or flu like syntoms
This afternoon I have painted 2 x more radiators so progress is improving in the glamma household the last 2 x rads will be done tomorrow as there is no way I am going out tomorrow now after reading all about the hype for openings tomorrow I've decided to wait a week or two until it calms down a wee bit.
I must dash today as the roast is ready to come out of the oven and I want to get Jim his meal into him before his carer calls at 5pm .
          Talk soon xx

            Shopping done. All jobs done.

Cold again, keep having the odd snow flurry.

Hubby busy recycling/upcycling a garden lamp.
It's coming along nicely. He'd rather do that than buy one.

Glamma, I do admire you on getting on with it and tackling decorating, and making a Sunday lunch. I bet Jim is so pleased to have them.

We spent time at my mums house and did lot more sorting out. OH took a car full of wood and a few other things from the garage to the council tip.
We have found out that the council will collect up to 10 bulky items for £23. There are beds and mattresses, a sofa and 2 recliner chairs. If they could be taken it would help us a lot. It says furniture, so we just need to check what they will take. You book and just leave the items on the drive for collection.

Same here Gem you can either have 6 bulk items of furniture or 8 black bags of household rubbish for £25 , its a big help when you have a lot to move would cost at least 5 times more for a skip .

Oma - someone on one of our village groups mentioned it as well. The Pig is a lovely old country house and a place we've been to many times - long before it was The Pig and fashionable! The company that owns Limewood (between Lyndhurst and Beaulieu) bought it when they bought and rebuilt Limewood some years ago (sign of age I can't remember what it was called before!) I'll have to try and catch the programme on catch up!

Glamm - you are doing so well with your decorating - making a roast dinner as well is brilliant. I'm sure Jim really looks forward to your Sunday lunches. How is he getting on?

Gem - you've done well today getting on with all the sorting out. It helps when you can take stuff straight to the tip. We still have to make an appointment.

Plant - I've seen the comment about how long a cold lasts as well. Hopefully you're nearly there. xx

Good morning, I have had a few "dark" days, I will try and see the light today! GD1 came yesterday and we had a bike ride together, in the cold, we went to a new restaurant near here and had a drink, they were hoping to open on the 21st april but now it is at least the 28th. I measured her whilst she was here, she has hardly grown this last year so hopefully she has reached the peak, she is just over 6ft now, I thought she was taller when she came in but she had sneakers on with 3cm heels!

Daisy, I happened to be watching TV and I saw that programme, I was wondering if it was anywhere near where you live, now I know it was!

It is snowing here, and heavy!!! So dark with it, what a strange weather!

Gem, it will be a lot of work emptying your mums house, the 2 daughter of the lady on the first floor that died are still busy sorting etc, she did have a lot in the house though so will take a lot of sorting. I decided to sort the drawers etc in my sewing corner out the other day, you will never believe how many needles etc etc , not to mention the zips, I have!! It is all sorted out now and very neat. I am sorry if I have missed any posts, I will pull myself together and get back to reality.

An early Good Monday Morning from me.

It's been a cold, frosty night and now it's drizzling with rain. That's about par for the course - I'm off to collect both GDs and Cooper in a few minutes for their sleepover here. It will be fantastic to have them but I don't know how much time I'll get to chat!! Especially as my computer is in their bedroom.

Lizzie - I'm sorry to hear you've had a few 'down' days. I do hope you can get out and about a bit and feel better today. Your GD1 sounds a stunning young lady.

I hope everyone is ok. Who's going shopping today, I wonder?

                            Good morning

Lizzie, I know you have your dark days, and know that you may not feel like posting then. We love to hear from you when you do feel like it, I hope things feel brighter soon . Don't worry about missing posts though. You are an interesting and consistent poster, and everyone has times of not posting, or posting less.

Daisy, we will understand if you are quiet on here Lovely to have the girls.

I must catch that programme you have all seen with Daisy's Local on!
Sunny here, frost overnight, which seems to be the pattern at the moment. Roll on Spring proper!

This morning I am having reflexology, hooray!
This afternoon GD and GS2 are coming. They are not at school until tomorrow and DD has some important deadlines to meet. She will spend this morning with them and work all afternoon.
                            Quiz this evening.

I hope everyone is well, enjoy whatever you do today.

Oma, thanks, poor you, I do hope you soon feel better.

I have been for a drive, in the hail and snow!! I wanted to take things to the second hand place and do some driving, I don't want to end up panicking if the weather isn't perfect! I don't mind driving, it was quite icy on one road when the hail settled, it is back to heavy snow again.
