Oops Daisy. No need for a shower then. 🤦‍♀️ Enfys, yes I do remember Prisoner Cell Block H. Isn't it lovely when no matter how off it we feel, seeing our GC always cheers us up. Pleased you had a good day Gem.

Bet you said oh crumbs when the handle broke or similar words hahaha

I must have been one of the only people NOT to have watched cell block H , my Sister did and would rave about it till I told her to stop she was boring me

Gem I think getting her used to a little freedom now coming to the car herself , helps for when she goes to big school , she must feel so grown up bless her xx

Wonder how Clover got on , I do hope some decisions were made for her ,

Daisy, you have been busy, had to laugh at the bucket handle breaking, I thought things like that only happened to me! Gem, your GD will feel so grown up, GD2 loves cycling to and from school on her own, often calls in at a friends on her way home, asks the mother to message her parents and tell them where she is and that she will be home at 5-30pm.

Aww Gem, your GD is gaining some independance.

Sorry Daisy, but it made me laugh when i read about the bucket handle breaking.

            Good morning ladies.

Damp and dull here but I don't think it's raining.
I am meeting a friend from Scotland in town. We are going to see the Van Gogh exhibition (which I intended to see last year but never got round to) then we will have lunch. From there I will go to my mum's.
OH is going to the golf club ladies AGM this morning. She has been asked to stand for the committee. It's between her and another member. I find the other member a very annoying person and she doesn't do half for the club that OH does, so I'm guessing OH will be chosen. She won't be heartbroken if she isn't though!

My mother used to be obsessed with Prisoner Cell Block H! Never watched it myself.
Coffee and Walnut is my favourite cake Oma
Brrr, not the weather to be drenched Daisy!

            Enjoy your Saturday everyone.

Just back from a short trip in the Motorhome. We started in Sandringham (I didn’t see her maj!) for a couple of days and then to Louth in Lincolnshire. Had a very unsettled windy and wet night on Wednesday the old Moho was a rocking and rolling. Off to see grandsons this p.m. 😀

Good morning Grans. The sun's shining and it's raining here - has April come early?

Oma - coffee and walnut it is. A good choice if I may say so. If the file gets found you can always say it was to grate the walnuts on!!! I never watched Prisoner Cell Block H either!

I've dried out now. But of course with the rain the garden's soaking again. Hopefully it will dry up enough to get out there later. Also we need to give Eva a good run in the paddock - she's got plenty of energy to run off.

Gem, enjoy your day out with your friend from Scotland. Hopefully the Exhibition won't be too crowded. It sounds as though S would be a real asset to the committee, but it's probably a lot of work as well.

Avo - welcome back. You had some interesting weather! I love being in the caravan when it's very windy - provided the awning's secure. Still it's good to get away for a few days and it's very relaxing. Enjoy your afternoon with your grandsons. xx

Nanto - I hope it's not just empty shelves in the supermarket.

                  Have a good day everyone.

Nice to hear from you Avo, my husband and I loved our caravan, towed it to many places in the UK.

Daisy, I didn't know there was a perennial stock, I love them and try to pick up some plants (used to grow them myself) they last into the autumn. What a soaking you had, did the bucket finish up on the other side of the garden?

I have had two events cancelled, I was going to a gathering of Trefoil Guiders, coming from all over the county but as the majority are mostly around 70/80s it was decided to cancel it and my Embroidery group were having an exhibition of their work next Sat in our village hall, that was cancelled too. It is GGS's birthday party next Sat, they are not sure what to do about that. Poss. just have a family gathering.

                      Good Morning ladies ,
Plant maybe a family gathering is the right way to go at the minute and luckily he is too young to miss friends being there ,

Avo how lovely to see you here , I bet it was interesting in a rocking caravan , what would the neighbours think seeing it Rocking hahaha.

Daisy I think your losing the battle with the garden and rain, the weeds will be loving the wet and sprouting everywhere

Gem tell S we wishing her luck she deserves the job ,
Enjoy your morning and lunch sounds a nice little outing xx

Nanto those frogs made me smile as we are as mad as a box of Frogs on here

Went over to our shopping Mall for them opening this morning , needed Bread and Deodorant Then to Aldi ,
Our Elderly neighbours were in there getting some shopping so we waited till they were done and brought them back .

We had seen them in the shopping Mall with one of their sons but he was going someplace else and they didn't intend getting much as they cant carry it these days
So we said get what you need while they were there save having to go out again , so they got a trolley full

They very scared being out with all this Coronavirus I can understand that they are in their 80s and not in the best of health , such lovely people too ,

Daisy, OH is only up for a general committee role, not an office, they are all spoken for. So unlike me she won't become a reluctant secretary! Not this year anyway
Oma, what a kind thing to do for your neighbours. This is what everyone should be doing. Being kind and looking out for others, not hoarding and being selfish.
I have mixed feeling about meeting my friend, but it would be mean not to see her. She is very negative, and to say she is little younger than me, she repeats herself constantly, always has done!
I am parking in Sainsbury's car park as A it is cheap and B you are restricted to 4 hours!! Also having to see my mum today, which I had planned to do tomorrow but now we have other plans, gives me a getaway clause too.

Good morning. That was kind of you, Oma. I bet they appreciated the lift.

Yesterday we both managed to get out into the garden in the morning. DH giving the Passion flower a good haircut and me trimming the wisteria. Then I intended having a go at the lawn but you know what they say about well laid plans..... I managed to snip through my finger as well as a branch so that out paid to the rest of my gardening, it’s ok now but the blood!! Luckily I heal quickly. So this morning I’ve been out there and made a start even though it poured with rain earlier. I’ve done round the edges and the long bits under the hedge so pleased about that. The green bin gets collected on Tuesday and it’s full up.

I am worried about DH, he is getting very tired and although we know that he will gradually deteriorate , it’s still horrid to see him like this. He tries to do things but it takes him ages and he hates it.

DGS has been told they are working from home for the next couple of weeks, they will review the situation then and decide what to do. DD is pleased as he is high risk with his type 1 diabetes and heart condition. Luckily all their work is done on computers, and via email and all the other electronic gizmos so he's happy with that.

It looks like it’s going to rain again, so I don’t think I’ll get much more done outside. Off now to make lunch. Have a good weekend everyone ☔️🌞

The traffic was light going into town, usually a lot busier on a Saturday.
Wasn't as busy in town either. I stocked up at the butchers.
Not because of the virus, but because i haven't been for 3 weeks.
Then went up to Morrisons. As we were going in, a lady came out and she was wearing a mask.
Plenty of stock on the shelves. I got everything i wanted.
Don't know if they had any loo rolls,we didn't look.

Oma,kind of you to give the neighbours a lift. We would have done the same.
I always say,we might need some help some day.

                                Quite mild today.
