Had a lovely Aqua, stopped for a coffee on the way home, now waiting for a person to come and service my boiler. I am also trying to programme my new phone, might have to call for help. Ladies I am quite happy to wear jeans, it just seemed wrong to wear black jeans, they didn't look right although they were not cheap.

Afternoon ladies , we back home , had a nice night away but was awake a lot during night , it was a old hotel with sash windows and they rattled when the wind picked up ,
Apart from that it was lovely ., Nice and clean and lovely bed , pillows not as nice as Premier inn though

Last night we went down to dinner to find we were the only people booked in so had the whole restaurant to ourselves and this morning only us and two business men at Breakfast ,

Made good time coming home roads were quiet .

Gem I feel sad for you and the children fingers crossed they don't stop you traveling but you have to be prepared don't you

Nana have you looked amongst your knitting and crafts just in case you have put them amongst them ?

Plant when pixels go on your TV its expensive to have it repaired its cheaper to buy a new TV

What with TV's not working, gardening, looking after relatives & friends, clearing lofts, punctures, holiday worries & busy OH's lives, life is never boring for you Grans. Quite the opposite.

Well, I started looking in the sideboard cupboards ... no luck. What the hell I thought... "Come on St Anthony, Mum's not here to ask you so I'm asking you to help me find my specs". I know 😜🤦♀️ Onto next lot of drawers in table. First 4 no luck. Next drawer there were two pr of specs. First pr couldn't see a thing. Next pr WOOOHHHHOOOO. I could see! I have found them. So, off to CostCo tomorrow to have my faulty specs sent off, now I've found my second pr. Hope I don't get trampled on by people racing to get loo roll.🤣

Nana we have been to The Crown hotel a few times in Harrogate and always had a nice stay and its very central in Town ,

This will make you laugh though ,
We went into town before we booked in and I went to Molton Brown to buy some nice Bubble bath as I don't have a bath at home ,
Paid £22 for a lovely rose scented bottle , checked in went to room and it only had a Blooming shower it was a disabled room

couldn't make it up could you would have asked for a room with a bath but we were only staying for one night , so I will keep my lovely bubble bath till our next time away when I will make sure we get a room with a bath ,
Although now that they are stepping up the info for this coronavirus that may be a while yet

You're right, you couldn't make it up. No bath, 🤦♀️🤣 My DD2 has just txt me to tell me a person's emailed her partner, (who is self employed) to ask if the clothing he makes is Coronavirus free. What??

Just heard from DS who tells me the borders are most likely closing on Monday. No flights in or out for 2 weeks, shops,bars,nightclubs,water parks, ski centres all closing and schools and unis closed for another 2 weeks. He's on home office for the foreseeable future and preparing meals for freezing before the shops close!! DD tells me the hotel company she works for, lost £900.000 in revenue against their forecast last week.

Lizzie, I thought that might happen with flights from Europe to the UK!

Went to a class at gym this morning, lots of hand sanitiser bottles around. I took my own mat, you don't know who's been lying on the ones belonging to the gym do you?

My goodness that wind was strong today, but there is a definite warmth in the sun now.

Lizzie, I doubt that will work as Trump is saying no one who has travelled to Europe (excluding UK and Ireland) within the 2 weeks prior to travel can enter.

Lizzie - he's a wise man, knowing when to stop driving. I think it must be a very hard decision to make. You see a lot of elderly drivers pootling around our roads, sometimes very badly, and I find myself thinking "that could be me one day". You hear of awful accidents where a driver has stamped on the accelerator instead of the break in an emergency, and they often seem to be elderly and female.

Plant - you do enjoy your Aqua class, don't you. It sounds lovely. I hope your tv can be repaired, but they seem to be throw away items these days. I think landline phones are difficult to programme - and they're all different.

Oma - what a pity you didn't get a great night's sleep - and no bath either! It must be awful for businesses like hotels which are really going to feel the pinch with Coronavirus, but I hope you got superb service.

I didn't get a chance to go into the garden. The beautiful sunshine disappeared and we had a really heavy downpour, so all the garden was soaking wet again. Trying to weed a bog is no fun at all! But I am careful about my back. I always kneel down to do hand weeding - bending down isn't an option.

Nana - I'm so glad you've found your specs. Can you remember putting them there for a particular reason, or was it just a random dumping? (I often randomly dump things in odd places! )

WeeGranny - I'd have certainly taken my own mat too! My DIL2 was saying today that she wants to put bottles of hand sanitisers next to the kiosks in their shop (the terminals where people can select/edit their own photos), but she can't get any anywhere! So she's disinfecting them after every customer at the moment! Is your DS ok about working from home for 2 weeks?
