I hope Mr and Mrs Enfys have a lovely break.
Daisy, I hope your DS2 family get over their sickness bug, just try and keep away. I do think it is time you and OH had a break away.

I woke late, have had a couple of bad nights, atrial fib. kept me awake. I am going to see a private dentist tomorrow about my painful tooth, they have a specialist who might be happy to extract the tooth. My hospital appt. isn't until January and I am not keen on going there after the last painful extraction.

Oma, are you sure the meths is for your mirrors. My wardrobe mirrors are in need of a good clean, might try meths. How do you stop dust being attracted to mirrors?

Nice and sunny here but haven't poked my nose out, I suspect it is cold.

Well both of hubby's parents are poorly. Mam has got a cough and a very bad chest.
Dad has been off it all weekend. Not got an upset stomach, but doesn't want anything to eat.
We've been round to make sure mam has something to eat. Dad only had a cup of tea.
Didn't stay too long, nothing you can do really. Told them to ring if they need anything.
We are only 2 streets away.

Enfys - I'm too late to wish you safe journey and a good break, but you know I'm thinking it. It's good to have a little break from everything. As Plant says, I could do with it at the moment!

Plant I hpe you can get that tooth dealt with - you must be so fed up with that and the AF.

Nanto - poor in-laws. When they're both poorly at the same time it's so difficult. It's such a good job you are close by and always ready to step in. Well done on getting decs up and everything spick and span.

Mimi - I haven't seen mistletoe on sale for years. Where has romance gone!

Gem - you definitely have volunteeritis, because you look after two generations and get involved in local community things like the library. I just run round after the family!

Qwerty - how are you feeling today?

Oh well, tea break over - back to the sucky up thing!

Sitting watching Nativity 2 with GS supposedly doing his homework!! He's been coughing and spluttering all weekend! So we've missed football and his Christmas shopping. I expect we'll be on the internet tonight to find what he wants for his Mum and Dad who are enjoying a weekend in sunny Barcelona !

                Good afternoon/evening my dears.

Bon Voyage Enfys. That's two of our ladies gadding off to warmer climes
Nan2 I hope the poorly in laws soon recover.
                And WG's GS!

Not long until the shortest day!
I found the missing Christmas tree legs which mum had phoned me about (!!) and assembled the tree on the legs. She enjoys doing the rest herself in her own time.
I assured her it wasn't Wednesday so the TV wasn't wrong as she stated when I arrived, but the fact that she had the TV page open on Wednesday which was wrong.
I put the outdoor lights on the little tree in her front garden and set the timer.

We've been back to in laws. Made them a warm a drink and a sandwich for mam.
Dad didn't want anything to eat. Washed up and got them settled down for the night.
Back to do it all again tomorrow.

I actually made it to a Christmas Fair today. I really enjoy the craft stalls & managed a little chat to the stall holders who weren't busy. One that stood out was a lovely man who worked with wood. I thought about your OH Daisy. Treated myself to a red scarf with beautifully painted robins. I was on my own too so enjoyed the space to 'just be'.

I posted a card to Glam too. Is there any news from her? Not far from my thoughts.x

Sending for the doctor this morning to see both in laws.
I think mam needs some anti biotics for her chest.
Arranged to go to GD1 house this evening. Really hoping we can make it.
I've got a feeling today is going to be a busy day.

                          Good morning everyone.
In ten days it will be Boxing Day

I hope that time to yourself did you good Nana. The robin scarf sounds lovely!
I wonder how your in laws are today Nan2? Best idea to get the Dr. I hope you get to GD's tonight.
Oma, golf was cancelled yesterday due to waterlogged course. I was out for several hours, so once she steamed the floors and did a couple of jobs OH settled down with snooker on TV
Mum is fine, very with it in some ways, but rarely knows what day it is!
I think Henry does miss the others. He moved here as one of 4 cats and now there is only him.
Good to get your appointment done with, I hope you are not there too long..
I hope Mr Daisy is OK, and no delays at the eye clinic.

Today we are going out for lunch with my auntie, and taking her Christmas and birthday cards, as her birthday is the 27th.
A supermarket shop for us on the way home. The rest of the day and evening will be finishing my Christmas cards, addressing and stamping them, and putting the last Christmas decorations.

                          Have a good day everyone.

Hope the doctor can help your in-laws Nanto.

Daisy, I hope your OH is feeling okay from his scare yesterday and hope the visit to the eye clinic isn't too unpleasant

Busy day for you Oma, hope your visit to the clinic goes okay.

I put my little tree up yesterday, so feeling a bit festive. I have made an appointment to see a private dentist today, probably very expensive, in the hope they will remove this tooth. The appt. with the hospital dentist isn't until late January. I hope I have made the right decision, they will probably just do an inspection today, that's £40 to start with. I almost cancelled it and wondered if I could last until the new year.
