Oma I got a train which was on time coming home but very full as there had been no trains from Edinburgh due to overhead lines broken , makes you wonder who is telling the truth , if it’s any consolation i nearly cried too 😪when I found out your train was cancelled , we northern chicks do seem to have problems with trains , a couple of years ago coming back from the Xmas meet up my train was cancelled, and had to get the Manchester airport train which stopped in Leeds 🥴nearly wet myself trains can be scary for me

Oma, as you know I'm wondering the same. I haven't found anyone yet.

Lovely day in York with some lovely ladies ! Nothing to eat for me tonight though I'm having a G&T before bed! Had to defrost the car when I got back to Ely so I think tonight will be a cold one. Nothing else to report so Night Night one and all x
ps it was lovely to speak with Enfys and Plant !

I'll send Glamm's address to you Oma. I am going to send a card from GransRus today as well.
Btw, we kept hoping you were going to turn up and surprise us yesterday, texting to say Brian had brought you. We were a bit gutted when I heard you were home.

This morning is voting, then laying dear little cat to rest with her sister under the apple tree. Being married to a retired funeral director is an advantage. She is comfortable and competent at handling bodies and has made little coffins for both the cats. Little cat is wrapped in her cosy blanket.
This afternoon I will see my mum, doing her shopping on the way. I want to wash her net curtains and windows ready for her tree going up.

My thoughts are with Glamma. Everything must seem even worse so close to Christmas

Nothing planned for today , I have washing in tumble so will iron that when its done , Dog was at Day care yesterday so he's worn out he will sleep most of day , don't have GS1 after school he is going to watch a band tonight so going straight home to get showered and changed,

Gem I will be thinking of you and S today at least Kitty will be with her sister .

How are we all today ? any poorly ladies ? hope not ,

My sister who is 74 had a nasty fall yesterday banged her head and hip and elbow , BIL took her down to be checked over by practice nurse , she asked Dr to have a look at her ,
Thankfully nothing broken but huge bruising all down one side and swelling on her elbow ,
I phoned her this morning she's very stiff and sore and said her head hurt when she was brushing her hair
She's very shook up , she was worried about breaking a hip but all's well .

Oh you poor ladies waiting for trains that do not turn up, that is one reason I use coaches to meet you in Birmingham.

Gemini, how lovely that puss will be laid to rest next to her dear sister.

A bit of a rush for me again today, Aqua, then get home, get changed and off to meet Aqua friends for a Christmas meal in the same place I had a meal with my WI friends. Same place, same meal. I am also going to try to do my food shopping on the way back as tomorrow is going to be busy again with a Warfarin check and a Christmas tea and entertainment at our local Senior school. I am on the old folks list now. Said I would go because my lovely friend wanted to go and she is quite infirm. We are being picked up by a gentleman called Laurence!
                    a quieter week next week.

Thinking of Glamm and her family, she has a lovely family to support her.

                      Good morning all.

First of all so so sorry to hear that not all our ladies who planned to meet up yesterday wasn’t able to make it. Flipping trains !

We are off out just now now to vote and then to get a taxi into town for a bit of a look around the Christmas market. I’m not expecting anything amazing as our town has more closed shops than open . We are then going for our Christmas lunch, or as OH calls it , ‘ old coggers Christmas party ‘ .

Gem, that’s very sweet , what you have planned for kitty. I didn’t realise your OH was once a retired funeral director, she will do an excellent job I am sure. X

Must go now as OH is itching to go out Don’t forget to vote ladies!

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning from me. Thank you, Nanto, for the lovely peaceful graphic.

We've already been out to vote - not good timing with traffic heading to the primary school and the college, and the rain was torrential. We picked up a few bits and pieces in the village and were back home before 9 am! Very unusual for us. We were going to take Eva and I would have walked her back, but it was too wet underfoot to walk across the Forest and the roads were flooded in places so you get extra showers from passing vehicles.

Just off for a shower and getting ready for lunch with College friends. A friend is giving me a lift which is lovely.

Plant - what a social whirl, but quite funny that you're having a Groundhog Day for lunch. At least you know what to expect.

Oma - your poor sister. I hope she heals quickly - she must be in quite a lot of pain with all those injuries. Glad you're having a relaxing day after the frustrations of yesterday. xx

Gem - it's sad laying your little kitty to rest, but she will be with her sister, and when the apple tree blooms in the spring it will be lovely.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

Plant - I'm sure Glamm's family will be doing everything they can, but it's still so very sad, especially at this time of year.

Good morning. Pouring with rain here too Daisy, and very windy. Haven’t been to vote yet, but it’s only round the corner so will have to make a quick dash for it.

Very busy day yesterday. Went shopping with DD, managed to get everything done that was on our list and even picked up some nibbly bits for a Christmas. A quick lunch out then home and managed to be back in time to speak to the ladies in York, what a treat 😀

Dh has popped out to see if he can get his watch fixed. We don’t know if it’s just the battery or something else, hopefully just the battery. Then it’s to the optician for him for an eye test. I have put up the tree at last and a few extra candles and lights but not doing too much this year.

I hope your sister is OK Oma, she will feel very shaky, I know I did after my recent tumble. Took a few days to feel really steady again. I am pleased that my neck is getting better, magic pills from the doc 😀.

Have a good day everyone, stay dry ☔️💦

Sorry to hear about your poor Sister Oma. Hope she's not too sore.

Thanks Mimi I was really upset I couldn't make the meet-up. My DD needed me but that disappointment does make you teary. I always miss the main meet too. Never mind.xx
