OH is busy in the dining room with tax matters.
I could be doing some ironing but I'm not.
I may convert some apples into something, or I may not!
Enfys, that sounded a very nice afternoon at your house 😊
    Busy bee as ever Oma!

I made soup this morning in the end, and prepped the potatoes and veg for dinner, so I wouldn't have to do it when we got in from my mums this afternoon.
OH did some more garden tidying for mum. I kept mum company and gave the bathroom a quick clean.

Neighbouring cat is fed, watered and tucked in for the night , so its a quiet night in for us now.

There's no R&R when you get back from holiday is there.
Not to worry, all washing done and suitcases put away.
Everything will be back to normal now.

Nanto - well done getting everything washed etc and your suitcases packed away until your next trip.

I cooked a ham yesterday, so tonight I just did jacket potatoes and steamed vegetables with it, and there's plenty left!

My friend M called round for a coffee, chat and catch up this morning. She'd been up to Yorkshire visiting family and then had a couple of days in Telford on the way back - their AirBnB got flooded in the heavy rain, but the owners came along and sorted it all out for them and left them red and white wine and choccies.

I got a bit of washing done. Then this afternoon we took Eva up to the paddock for a good run round, hopefully to tire her out before the dratted fireworks started. It didn't make any difference. Despite Rescue Remedy, a pheromone diffuser and a thunder shirt at the first bang she went into meltdown and is still pacing and panting. We also had the tv turned up loud, all the curtains drawn, doors shut and an enticing treat on her blanket.

Gem - I hope your neighbour's cat is ok with the fireworks. I bet S was pleased to get her tax return out of the way. What kind of soup did you make?

Plant - did you enjoy your lunch and playtime with your babies? Glad you're pleased with your lovely new bedroom.

Enfys - what a lovely afternoon. Peaceful and relaxing.

I've got both GDs and Cooper tomorrow - the girls have an Inset day, but I'll pop in when I can.

Poor Eva Daisy. I hope there aren't more fireworks on Tuesday

I made my soup mainly with sweet potatoes, with the addition of a small parsnip, an onion and some red and yellow pepper, with a veggie stock pot and some thyme. It was nice There is some for my lunch tomorrow and some in the freezer.

Oma - I'm sure there will be fireworks on Tuesday. I don't know whether she'll be able to go to training or not.

Had a lovely lunch next door and fun with GGS and cuddles with GGD. GGDWas tongue tied, that was why she wasn't feeding well. Sorted now so her mother is more comfortable now she is feeding properly.

                        Good morning everyone.
Nan2, I bet your in laws have missed you!
Have a lovely week Nana, I envy you! The neighbours we cat sit for are at the Lakes this week too.
Plant, I'm glad the tongue tie was spotted, it needs spotting early like that.

My throat is still a bit sore but certainly has got no worse.
I have work this afternoon. It's always a faff going loading up my car, finding an on street parking spot anywhere near his house, carrying my couch etc to and from the car. I would miss my client (we were neighbours for 25 years) if I didn't go though, and what I earn pays for my monthly reflexology. So, although I never feel like going each month, I do!

Have a good day and week everyone

Morning. Plant I'm pleased your little one is sorted. I went with my DD2 to have both her babies tongue tie done. They weren't feeding too well either before.

Welcome back Nan2. Hope you enjoyed your hols. Gem, good friends are priceless aren't they.

Sorry I don't reply to everyone's post but M.E catches up with me sometimes. Oma your DD would scare me never mind the T or T's. Hope our poorlies on here are at least comfortable.

Oma my knee is not bad at all thank you. A fairly restful weekend knee wise has helped I think.
If I am lucky I will be able to park opposite the house. If not it could be a fair way down the road or even round the corner. I wish he was still a client who comes to me, but he was my next door neighbour, he's in his late 70's now, he doesn't drive so once I moved I agreed to go to him each time.
