Clover - welcome back - we've missed you. xx I'm so sorry you're feeling lonely and missing your lovely family. When you feel down it's much harder to get your spirits and your energy levels back up. Hopefully it won't be long before you see them again. Oh dear, your roof repair sounds very expensive. It must be hard for your sister if she feels your BIL isn't coping very well with being in hospital. I'm sure she appreciates your support, even if it is long-distance.
Plant - well done for going to bowls even though you didn't feel much like it.
Mimi - sticky toffee pudding - yum, yum! I'm sure it's gone to your head though, and you've got all over-excited about Christmas, but I hate to disappoint you because it's not until December. Don't feel you've got to start getting ready for it yet! Gem will lead you astray because I think she would start Christmassy things immediately after Easter.
I enjoyed having the GDs today. We seem to have had a good day without doing very much. They've both read quite a bit, and GD2 read to OH and he was surprised at how well she did.
We're due to get our all-singing and dancing FIBRE broadband connected up tomorrow. So if I'm not around it will be because it's all gone pear-shaped!

Good morning all.
Fingers and toes crossed for the broadband Daisy!!
Ironing, the downside of a holiday Nan2!
There are lots of leaves on the paths and roads now. The tree over the road that I can see from my bedroom window as I type here in the mornings is almost bare.
GS1 day today. I want to shop for some new Sketchers on the way. Also my GP is making a call about my X ray results so I will have to carry my phone with me and find a quiet spot when she phones. It's scheduled for 2pm, but it could be any time really.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning all. Dry here at the moment, hope it lasts.
This morning we are going to a coffee morning at our local Cancer Care Group. We are trying to keep busy this week before our hospital appointment on Thursday. It’s always a nice morning there, plus lovely cake 🍰.
Oma, you asked when our GD would be coming home. To be honest, we’re not sure. I think her year will be up in May but I wouldn’t be surprised if she stayed on for another year. DD would be devastated but nothing would surprise me.

Morning everyone. Clover you've been on my mind since you last posted. I hope you feel a little better today. Enfys you do right keeping yourself busy. It must be a worrying time for you both. Mimi don't tell Daisy that I've only got about four presents to get. In fact when I get home I plan to make a list of what's for who/whom, (?) wrap them & put them away.
I'm thinking of making some of my own cards this year but they won't involve quilting!😂 Enjoy your day everyone. Plant I keep saying that you put me to shame how active you are. Well done young thing.x"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Pleased I went to bowls yesterday, I had a really good game. Visit to the tip for me today, had a bit of a lie in as nothing else planned.
I hope the doctor has some good news Gemini.
Daisy, I hope we will be corresponding on your new upmarket broadband soon.
Clover, I hope you are feeling a bit better today. Do you think it is too risky moving closer to your DD's family in case they move? What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Clover, am thinking of you and G and admiring the patience that you have in dealing with all that's going on in your life at the moment. My temper has been sorely tried lately and I do not like feeling like that. Sending you hugs.
Yoga this morning left us all feeling rather relaxed ! No doubt we'll feel it tomorrow as it involved lots of stretching. Reading this afternoon will soon bring me back to reality with a bump!
Sun is shining, but there are lots of black clouds hanging around.
Enjoy the rest of the day ladies whatever you're up to.....even if it is the dreaded ironing! xBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Good afternoon.
Finally checking in after work this morning, Tesco delivery and unpacking and putting away last of holiday stuff.
Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. I’m only doing what hundreds of others are having to do.I know many of you have your own ,if different problems to cope with.We just have to try and plod on doing the best we can.
Tomorrow I will agree ,in writing as requested ,to the estimate for the roof repairs.
I still haven’t got round to getting a skip for my garage clearance. I need DS to commit to a couple of consecutive weekends to help me. At the moment his rather forceful partner is commandeering his time with decorating and carpet renewing. I suppose there’s no desperate hurry for the skip but the side of my front garden resembles the Steptoes’ junk yard. Everything is under bright blue tarpaulin .Luckily I have easy going neighbours so I hope they are not too concerned about the look of my garden.
Well enough about me .I hope you are all having a successful day. I’m thinking about you Enfys and OH especially.

Clover today I looked to see how the rail link from here to Swansea was. I didn't realise how far south it was. It takes most of the day to get there 😲 Due to changes no doubt. We can go from here to London in less than 2 hours!
I won't be coming over to meet you for lunch. Nice idea though!
My cold is at the achy stage today. To be honest it has been a mild one all along, but I just feel I would quite like to be tucked up on my own sofa just now! I'm letting GS have TV time and J
I have a nice warm cup of tea.
I bought some new Sketchers, while checking my phone all the time for the GP's call. I did wonder if the reception in there was very good so I left as soon as I bought the shoes. No missed call or voicemail though. I did tell the receptionist I wouldn't be home so to use the mobile. Hopefully she passed that on.
Looking forward to lunch and a catch up with the Omas tomorrow 😊“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

The doctor has phoned!
As I guessed the X-ray showed moderate to severe osteoarthritis, particularly on the medial side. That's exactly what it feels like!
She was unaware of my upcoming appointment this week, and my cancelled one a month ago, so I have updated her now!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
