I was trying to think of something positive about today. The rain is lashing down, the wind is blowing a hoolie. Itβs dark and grey and I have nothing planned. Then I remembered, I have a lovely cosy home, plenty of food in the cupboard and my family are all well. I realised I am one very lucky lady. Horray.

Weather slightly improved, still windy but not raining. Had a visit from the family cat onto my bed in the night, couldn't make out how he had got in, he is usually in their utility where the cat flap and his food is. this morning I found I had left my bathroom window open. Not a good idea when you live in a bungalow. Feeling sorry for the England Rugby team, they lost their game against South Africa this morning. J.Lewis are arriving soon to fit my new vertical blinds in my bedroom.
Enfys that sounds like a nice day planned for you and P. Clock sounds interesting.
Your friends Oma will be pleased for your help, they will soon be settled into their new home.
Safe journey home Nanto.
Thinking of you Enfys and WG, I hope the results are positive. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Well I did the gym and climbed the Taj Mahal ( on the step machine!!) but got soaked walking back home when the heavens opened! Not sure about going to the craft fair now as it's a bit of a walk from the bus stop. There's plenty to do at home to keep me occupied. OH has gone out, I know not where!
Hope this weather doesn't cause any damage to anyone's property.
Keep safe and warm ladies xBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Oma - well done, all of you. I'm sure your friends are really grateful for all your help. I'm sure they will enjoy doing the finishing touches with ornaments, pictures etc. I think you should all take the rest of the day off and give yourselves a pat on the back. xx
WeeGranny - well done. You must be getting very fit - the Taj Mahal sounds like a lot of steps.
Plant - trust the cat to find a way in to a nice cosy bed! I didn't watch the rugby, but disappointing. Are you pleased with your new blinds? Is this the finishing touch to your revamped bedroom?
It's stopped raining for now, but it's been a wild day. I was hoping to go and spend some time pottering around in the summerhouse, but I'd have had to paddle to get to it and Eva was too frightened to come out with me, so I wouldn't have left her indoors on her own. OH got back from his outing about an hour ago with some 'burs' (for decorating wooden things) and two catalogues. He's been studying the catalogues rather closely. Should I worry!

Chilly this morning.
Its nice to go away, but its nice to be home.
A few friends said they wouldn't go to Spain at the end of October.
They didn't think it would be warm. Well they are certainly wrong.
At times,we were crossing over to other sides of the street,to get some shade.
The trouble with going away,is that it takes so long to catch up on here.
Will try later. If i miss anything i apologise in advance.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning friends.
Nan2 It's good to see you, and your morning graphic, back
I bet the warm weather and sunshine did you good. Nice to be back as well, as you say.
Plant, the cat coming in through your bathroom window reminds me of the family cat when I was a teenager. We lived in a dormer bungalow, my room was in the dormer part. She wasn't allowed in bedrooms, but I soon realised that she could scale the roof tiles and get into my bedroom window when it was open in summer. Of course I always left it open so she could after that.
I hope your friends are very happy in their new home Oma.
I was coughing yesterday and my throat is a bit sore today. I have amazed myself by not having a cold before this, as both Grandsons have had a couple over the last weeks.
OH's friend who helps her with her tax form is coming over this morning. I am going to my mum's this afternoon, not sure if OH is coming too.
Nothing else going on around here.
Have a good day everyone.βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Good Sunday morning, Nanto, Gem and everyone who follows.
It's lovely to have you back, Nanto and I love the graphic of your washing line. I'm sure the few days in the sun did you good. I think sun at this time of the year helps to set you up for the long winter ahead.
Gem - I hope you're not heading for a cold. Try and take it easy and keep warm. I hope your mum's ok this afternoon. I'm sure S will be glad to get the wretched tax form out of the way.
No plans for us today. I'll do a couple of loads of washing I didn't get round to yesterday, and we'll take Eva out later. OH is keen to do some more sorting out but the girls have got an Inset day tomorrow so whatever we do will have to be tided up before they arrive.

Good morning. A much calmer morning here after all the wind and rain yesterday.
Had a very pleasant day, baking in the morning so the cake tin is full much to DHs delight. Then after lunch I put on my Downton Abbey dvd, did my knitting whilst P worked in his clock. A very peaceful, pleasant afternoon.
Dgd sent us some photos of her adventures down under, She had been scuba diving off the Great Barrier reed, it all looked amazing. She is have a wonderful time.
We are FaceTiming DS this morning, so it will be nice to catch up with them. Otherwise no more plans, just playing it by ear but might try and get out for a walk later.

Weather quieter today after that wet and windy Sat. I am going into family for lunch today, they have the babies coming. First they are going to view a wedding venue for DD's wedding in 2021. Yes Daisy the bedroom is now finished and I am very pleased with it.
Daisy your OH has certainly got the bit between his teeth regarding sorting out.
Enfys that sounds like a very relaxing day for you and OH. My OH used to like the cake tin full, I rarely bake now. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Oma - that sleep certainly did you good. I'm exhausted reading about your morning.
Enfys - Your GD is having an amazing time - very adventurous, bless her. Isn't Face Time wonderful!
Plant - enjoy your lunch and lots of baby cuddles.
I thought about baking yesterday, and decided not to. The trouble is if I bake we eat cake and I'm trying very hard to shed a few pounds. A shop-bought cake doesn't tempt me in the same way as home baking.
