Oma, I feel worn out just reading your post šŸ˜“

Not feeling too bad but very stiff and sore, didnā€™t sleep very well, just couldnā€™t get comfy. So all Iā€™ve done this morning is get breakfast, prepared everything for lunch and now Iā€™m going to have a shower. Oh and made 3 cups of tea!

GM, how awful for your DD, I do hope she is on the mend. Poor girl, she must be in agony.

Nothing planned here for the weekend, just taking it easy but will FaceTime DS in the morning. I heard from him in the week and he has shingles so is off work and really not feeling well. What a family we are!

Have a a good weekend everyone, stay well šŸŒž

I read all your news but sometimes can't reply individually. Just thinking how funny life is. Chugging along then something happens out of the blue to pull us up in our tracks, as seems to have happened to a few Grans/family members this week.

[Maybe most of you are unaware that Yorkshire Wildlife Park, (up the road from me) brought four bears to live in the park after being kept abroad in cruel, poor conditions. One by one they died & sadly the last one died today. They weren't here all that long. They will be missed at the park. Sad after all the hard work to give them a better life.]

Ooo Wee Granny, I love Andrea Bocelli. He seems such a lovely gentle man. Have you listened to him singing with his son.

Oma, sit down you are making me feel tired.

Grauntie that was a nasty thing to happen to your DD, as you say good job it wasn't wearing shoes.

Enfys, pleased you are feeling a bit better but sorry to hear your DS has shingles.

Watching the Rugby this morning so will catch up later.

          Afternoon all.

I seem to have got well behind on here but I have read it all through.
Ladies who kindly suggested Checkatrade ,thank you. I do use them but the workman I have contacted now is also ā€œWhichā€ recommended.
Daisy the problem is the roof rather than the actual window. The wet patch is on the lintel over the window. It is sunny today so I hope it has a respite from leaking.

Grauntie your poor DD. So glad it wasnā€™t worse..

We had a longer walk than intended as when we got all the way to the Post Office I was mad to realise I had forgotten to bring GSā€™s birthday card that had to be posted today and was sitting on the hall table. We came all the way back and then out again to the PO.

Sorry not to have replied individually but I have read all posts and sympathise,, commiserate, congratulate or enjoy as appropriate

First of all I I have to say I may have to go and have a lie down in a darkened room.... Do my eyes deceive me .. Oma is doing nothing for the rest of the day and even tomorrow or the next day !

WeeGranny enjoy the concert, I love his voice, it sends shivers down my spine.

Grauntie , how is DD1 . A few years ago GD had her toe broken when a horse stood on her feet.

We donā€™t have much planned for today, OH is watching sports on tv so I will put up my feet and watch a film.

              Have a good weekend everyone

That's sad about the bears Nana. The only consolation is the ended their days well cared for.

ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹A full day with little GS, and a good one. I have just eaten my tea and now sitting down to relax. GS bathed, read to , cuddled, and went straight to sleep. He was excited when I said his Mum,Dad and sister were coming tomorrow. Less so when I told him they were taking him home šŸ˜
GD had s fantastic day! You're right Oma. DD3 and I had a night in London and trip to HP studios 4 or 5 years ago. We did have Butterbeer šŸ˜Š

Oma - and there was me thinking I'd had a productive day today. I'm just not in your league at all!!! If you slept like that every night there'd be no stopping you! Thanks for asking - J's eye is almost back to normal but Nursey is still making him put gel in it to keep it hydrated.

I did get several loads of washing done but the lawn was far too soggy for me to walk on to hang it out! I hope it stays dry tomorrow so I can cut it.

Gem - It does sound like a full day with GS2, but I'm sure your both loved it. Glad GD enjoyed her birthday treat. Are they coming back on the train - Platform 9 3/4?

WG - I hope you thoroughly enjoy the concert. What a lovely treat.

Clover - I hope your "Which" man can repair the leak for you. It's not something you want to drag on into the winter. How frustrating when you forget something like a card and have to go all the way home again. I hope it was sunny.

Plant - I don't know how the rugby went, but I hope it was a good game.

Enfys - I hope you have a more comfortable night tonight. Your poor DS - shingles is horrible.

Grauntie - I hope your busy day went ok, and your DD is a bit more comfortable. It sounds as though it's going t be difficult to get her to rest.

Nana - how sad about the bears. I suppose years of neglect had taken its toll on them.

I got a few loads of washing done this morning, including our bedding. Then we took Eva for a run in the paddock. It was a beautiful warm and sunny day and the Forest looked at its best. I do appreciate living in such an amazing place. I've been saying (nagging, he says!) OH to help me clear out some old suitcases from the loft so I abandoned drawers and cupboard sorting. We threw out about 8 or 9 old cases, and come of them weren't empty. They included all sorts of things from soft toys (DSs' not GCs') to my wedding dress and veil. I had had my wedding dress altered to make an evening dress just after we got married. It still looked ok and not out of fashion! I didn't attempt to try it on. The veil hadn't fared so well and looked a bit sad and grey! I've put them both in the charity shop bag - there's no point in leaving them up the loft for another 50 years!

I think after having to do so much sorting out in my cousin's house I want to get our house in order - and I feel we made a bit of a start today.

Grauntie, hope DD is feeling a bit better.

                    WeeGranny,hope you enjoyed the concert.

                      'morning all
                      A lovely autumn graphic Nan2.
You are on a roll with the clearing out Daisy.

A rather bleary eyed good morning from me. I was awake with GS2 a lot. He almost never wakes in the night and if he does goes straight back over, so I don't know what the problem was. I would settle him them he would start crying again as soon as I was back in bed. I sat with him a lot, took him to the loo, gave him water and finally Calpol. He just kept saying he 'wasn't OK' which I took to mean not well. As his parents were in London it was a worry! Anyway eventually with cuddles he fell asleep. I took my Kindle in in the end. He then slept until 8am when the dratted cat woke him up. I think he and we would have slept longer. Anyway the main thing is he seems fine this morning

DD3 and SIL are coming over to see us this morning, and DD2, SIL and GD will be back this afternoon. Later we are going to collect our friend who had the knee operation, She has been on her own all weekend, but because we had GS we couldn't help. She will stay with us tonight. At least she wont wake me in the night crying - I hope

                      Have a good Sunday ladies

Its wet and grey again and during night the wind was very forceful .

                          Good morning.

Gem I hope your disturbed night doesnā€™t have too much impact on you today. Glad the little one is fine this morning. Drat that cat.
I expect GD will be bursting to tell all about her trip.

Daisy Iā€™m also waiting to cut the grass but Iā€™m beginning to wonder if itā€™ll ever get done now. Itā€™s always so wet and as my mower is electric wet grass and electric cables make me nervous.

A lovely sunny morning here so bedding is in the wash. Yesterday was similar to start with but within 30 minutes of putting washing out it poured with the only shower of the day I rescued the clothes but didnā€™t put them out again even when the rest of the day was fine. I didnā€™t want to risk a repeat performance.

I hope anyone down in the dumps or recovering from anything feel better really soon.

Good morning all. Feeling really sorry for myself this morning. Still very sore, I know bruised ribs take a while to heal so am trying to rest. Canā€™t do much anyway, too painful.

Thinking ahead, Iā€™m wondering whether to do an online shop this week, thereā€™s no way I could carry heavy bags. Iā€™ve not done one before, any tips, haveā€™t a clue how to start.

DH has a diabetic appointment on Tuesday, I want him to change it, thereā€™s no way I can drive but he is insisting heā€™ll be ok to drive, not happy about that at all.

Its at at times like this I feel very alone and realise I really must take care not to be injured or incapacitated in any way if at all possible. Sorry, Moan over.

Weather very damp here, Iā€™m really pleased I managed to get the grass cut last week, it hasnā€™t been dry enough to do it since. Itā€™s sunny at the moment so might have a wander around outside whilst I have the chance. Just about to FaceTime DS to see how he is with his shingles, we are all in the wars!

Have a good day everyone šŸŒž

Good morning one and all. Nanto - Autumn indeed - Lovely colours. It's not too bad here but we need sun to dry the grass out a bit.

Enfys - yes, you must take care and rest. An online shop is called for. I don't do that often, but my DIL (who works in the industry) says, technically Sainsbury's has the easiest site to use, and yes, I've found it very easy. I write my list out before I start, but you can select your delivery slot put something in it and come back to it later. I think each 'session' has a time limit though. So - list first. At the end do check through carefully - it's quite possible to end up with 200 red peppers instead of 2kg! Before you start check the sizes/weights of goods like crisps, cereals, jars of anything to make sure you get the right size. I'm sure the real online experts will be able to add to this. Is it possible to get a taxi to OH's appointment on Tuesday? I hope DS isn't too poorly.

Clover - I hope you have more luck with the weather today.

Oma - enjoy your morning out and your day off! xx

Gem - another busy day for you today - but all nice things. I'm sure your friend won't keep you awake tonight. I hope little GS2 is ok after his restless night. Naughty kitty for waking him.

We're carrying on clearing things out today - while OH is still in the mood.

Good morning all. Itā€™s a dull day here so far but thankfully no rain.

Oma have a relaxing day , donā€™t go doing anything silly !

Enfys so so sorry to read that you are still in pain, did you get yourself checked out by a dr ? I have found that as I get older it takes longer to get over even the slightest bump .
When you first do on line shopping it can take longer than you would necessarily think , but once you have done it the next time you do it what you previously purchased will be there as your favourites. I would suggest you book your delivery slot before you start your shop as you may find the date you wanted isnā€™t available. On average you have two hours to do a shop before you are reminded to check the slot is sill available. Once you have paid for the shopping you can add or delete items in your basket right up to the night before your delivery date. Hope that helps.
Also , you are not moaning, you have an enormous amount of pressure on you and P at the moment. Have you considered that the reason you are still in pain is because of the stress you are under ?

Have a a good day everyone
