Morning.
Thoughts are with you Gem .
Raining here but the forecast promises improvement later.
Some cooking for me this morning and perhaps the ironing.Downstairs needs a good hoovering. My neighbour is quite poorly at the moment ,undergoing chemo, radiotherapy etc so I am conscious that if I start hoovering I could be disturbing her having a nap. Our walls are very thin.
Hope you all have as good a day as you can.

A quick good morning from me.
Gem - keeping everything crossed for kitty. I'm sure she appreciated your love and care in the wee small hours. Ignore my message on Admin - I'll deal with it later.
I'll try and catch up on every one's news. Our visitors are with us until Saturday and it seems a bit rude to abandon them to chat online when we see them so rarely. Does anyone else have this kind of dilemma!

House to myself for a couple of hours......bliss! OH gone for blood tests and DS gone to visit some friends.
Had physio on my back yesterday and I don't know what she did, but the pain is worse today than it has been. Hopefully, it'll all loosen up ( as physio said!) or I'll be popping painkillers and back on phone to her. Am seeing the back man in a couple of weeks so maybe he can reassure me that this pain is to be expected several months after the op.
Funny old day here, black clouds then sunshine and it seems quite mild. Need to get some washing on before it gets too late and give the downstairs a quick run round with the hoover. Not sure what else will transpire. Think it's a 'take it as it comes' sort of day.
Gem...hope kitty's problems are easily treated.
Whatever you're up to, enjoy the rest of the day ladies xBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Clover, it's very considerate of you to think of that poor lady.
No worries Daisy, we will get that upgrade sorted! Please don't neglect your visitors for usYou can resume chatting once they have gone.Enjoy the company!
Oh WG, I hope it has just got worse before getting better!
Oma you went to bed not long before I got up!
We had a lot of rain earlier but it's sunny now, but breezy.
We got kitty to the vets in time, and gave the nurse the low down on it all. The vet will give her scans and blood tests and ring us to go for her later.
We set off in 2 cars and I parked mine part way there. We then continued in OH's car to the vet (no point driving 2 cars right across town) We then drove back to my car, then both drove to the garage where my car was booked in for service. Then in OH's car to Boots opticians for her to collect her new glasses. Then I went to my nail lady for my last gel toes of the year. So, it's a been busy one so far!
We will have to collect car and hopefully puss at some point today. Otherwise no plans.
I have paperwork for the group I am secretary of , and online bills to pay of mums though, so I will be in my 'office' this afternoon!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Car back from its service. It needs a new oil sump as it is about to seep. Apart from that it is in very good condition for a 13 year old car, so it's worth having it done. We will book it in soon on a day I don't need my car and OH is about .
Puss still not back. They are waiting for her to pee to check that. Her bloods show she may be diabetic, but the pee would help with that diagnosis. Her heart chamber is enlarged, so that is probably the reason for the fluid build up. Kidneys, liver etc are OK. She won't give us a proper diagnosis and prognosis until they have all the results, so it's a waiting game around here.
I have nice shiny blue toe nails and have done my paperwork, so I haven't wasted my time while waiting in.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gem - fingers crossed for kitty. Glad to hear your car isn't going to mean taking out a new mortgage! Are you pleased with your shiny new blue nails?
WeeGranny - sometimes it's nice to have a bit of time to yourself to get on with things.
Clover - your poor neighbour. You are being very considerate, and I'm sure it's appreciated.
Oma - thank you for updating us about Nana - I was wondering how she is. Tummy bugs can leave you feeling totally washed out.
My SIL and I have had a shopping day - a trip to Pets at Home, on to Sainsburys to get something for lunch on Friday when OH's eldest sister and her husband, plus their eldest daughter are coming for lunch. I also managed to find myself a new everyday bag. My bright pink one is starting to look tatty and I'd have preferred something a bit brighter than the light navy I've bought, but it's the right shape and size and at least looks a bit smarter.
We rested our aching feet in the garden centre coffee shop and I had a delicious wholemeal scone, and my SIL (more sensible than me) had a sandwich. It was nice just to sit and chat for a while!
We're going out for meal tonight, so no cooking.

A meal out is just what you need Daisy.
Don't you worry about commenting Plant, enjoy your holiday! 😊
Kittye has heart problems, probably what is classed as heart failure. This is causing the fluid build up. Still no one can explain why or how she is leaking however! Sadly she is also diabetic. We can try the injection road, which seems too unkind at her age. They said cats often do ok with diabetic cat food and no insulin. As she's an old lady with a weak heart I think this is what she will do. She's eating and still has a quality of life, as the vet agreed, so for now we carry on.. She has to have half a diuretic tablet twice daily to control the fluid build up.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
