Enfys my friend attends a cancer support group and she too has said that there is one person who seems very keen to point out that they have had worse cancer. My friend chuckles to her self and thinks, they are playing cancer top trumps ! Some people are strange. As you say, you want to talk about other things , don’t you , why let cancer even dictate what you talk about.
I was looking at my Tesco order due for Friday and to my surprise I had ordered 22 tins of custard ! Good job I checked it . My DIL once ordered 1 sprout 😀
Nan2, squashed strawberry cream tarts don’t sound that appealing do they, I would think you will get your money back.
Daisy I never knew windows needed servicing, ours were put in just before we moved here, I clean them and that’s all . We do have a strange whistling sound that comes from the ones in the sitting room when it’s very windy, they aren’t draughty so I don’t know where it comes from.
We are going to town tomorrow and I refuse to come home empty handed , I really must find some trousers for this up and coming after wedding reception.
You don't want to go to these support groups to hear other peoples cancer history. Sit somewhere else next time Enfys.
I have been to the doctors this afternoon, I have a urine infection, not cystitis, I had to see a paramedic and all I could produce was the tiniest drop of urine for her to test but she managed it. Of course I am off on holiday on Sunday, she is hoping the antibiotic will have had some effect by Friday but if not I should go back. I have also to report, with a sample, at the surgery the Monday after I get back. Fingers crossed it will be better before Sunday. Lots of water to drink.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
Oh Plant what a time to get that I do hope it clears before then xx
Enfys , there is always one isn't there , we are friendly with a few we have met in clinic over the years , one couple are only in their late 30's and by gum he could moan for England , you would think he was the only person in a room full of patients that had Cancer , His wife rolls her eyes when he gets started ,
She will say hear he goes again and I have to live with him
She has loads of sympathy for him but he plays the woe am I card all the time and he is much healthier than most there ,
Some people just have to keep talking about it when all you want is to talk about anything but Cancer , Sad really
Plant I hope it clears soon.
Mini I once ordered 4 bags of pears, thinking I had ordered 4 pears! The 2 bottles of Tropicana orange juice which seemed a real bargain turned out to be tiny lunch box sized bottles 😆
That was a lot of custard, it's a good job you noticed
I doubt the delivery man would have been too pleased to haul them to your door only to take them away again!!
GS1 had a good first day back at school. Mummy has instigated firmer rules again I'm glad to say.

It's a bit wet here Nan2, I think we had an early morning shower.
OH off on another golfing day! She's waiting to be picked up. No meal this time, she should be back mid to late afternoon I think.
I don't think her play is quite back to standard, but pretty much so.
Little cat seems pretty normal now. Fingers crossed it doesn't recur once her antibiotics wear off. In younger cats that tooth would be removed, but none of the vets are willing to give her any anaesthetic.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning ladies a lovely morning ,

Plant hope your feeling better today ,
Gem good news about Puss , im sure S will improve the more practice she gets is her wrist still slightly stiff and sore ?
Oma very grown up looking I bet. Hope he enjoys his new school.
We had rain in the night. Hope it stays fine now as GS1, his wife and GGS move into their new house today, probably this afternoon. Not sure if they will be sleeping there tonight, depends how the day pans out. GGS is getting a little rascal, they are going to have their hands full when that new baby arrives in about a fortnight. Their new garden isn't as big as this one so he can't run quite so far.
Hope the in-laws are on good form today Nanto.
Pleased to hear pussy cat is getting over his tooth problem Gemini.
I am going to a small craft group this morning, not sure what we are doing, mainly talking and drinking coffee I think. Hairdresser coming this afternoon, so that is a full day for me. I got up very early and had something to eat so I could take another tablet. Fingers crossed there might be some improvement today.

A good day for golf I should imagine Gem. So glad your little cat is better.I’m sure the infection will be well and truly knocked on the head so no recurrences.
My DS 1 ‘s partner’s cat has just been diagnosed with diabetes which needs treatment with injections. Partner is squeamish and DS HATES needles so I hope they soon get used to it. It was Daisy I think who had to inject her little dog for the same reason.
Plant a packed day for you. Hope the antibiotics do the job quickly. Keep drinking the water! Hope the move goes well for the young people. They must be thrilled to be getting their own place. My goodness with a new house, new baby and active little boy they’re going to be very busy- and tired no doubt
Nanto hope the in-laws don’t have any problems today.
The engineer is here at the moment servicing the boiler so fingers crossed all is well.
Fingers crossed for the boiler Clover.
What a busy time for your little family Plant! I hope all goes very smoothly with move and new baby's arrival.
I hope GS2 has a good day Oma. he looks smart indeed
Off to Aldi in a minute.

Good morning everyone. I didn't manage to get back on here after dog training - I was dog tired!! LOL
It rained overnight but the sun's shining again - these sunny days in September are so precious!
Enfys - that man sounds like someone to avoid next time. I hope you enjoyed relaxing with your knitting yesterday.
Plant - we had to have a blown window replaced last year - it was a quick easy job, and made such a difference. Oh dear - I do hope the antibiotics work. I was going to suggest cranberry juice as well. I hope GS1's move goes well.
Nanto - why on earth would somebody think it was a good idea to put strawberry cream tarts at the bottom of a bag! I wonder what they'll say.
Oma - you certainly made the most of your gift voucher - enjoy your luxury cream.
Mimi - I didn't know windows needed servicing either, till ours stopped opening. Whistling windows - you could start a fashion, Mimi!!! Good luck with the trousers.
Gem - good to hear that GS1's first day back went well. Good luck to OH with her golf today. Very pleased to hear kitty is pretty much back to normal.
Clover, yes it was Clyde who developed diabetes. fortunately you give the injections into a flap of skin - you don't have to find a vein, but even OH who is squeamish could do it. Clyde was very co-operative and if he was asleep he often didn't even wake up. I'm sure it's a bit harder with cats, especially if they are outside cats and you can't always keep to time with them. We did Clyde's within a 10 minute window twice a day and kept a chart just so we were sure we'd done it.
OH has just said he'll make some chutney if I check we've got all the ingredients in! An offer I can't refuse. See you later.

Good afternoon. It rained most of the night but quite nice this morning. Did our supermarket shop, collected Dexter and spent some time in the garden.
DH is off to his Men’s Shed meeting soon. It’s our anniversary today and he said he wouldn’t go but I think it’s important for him to have his social activities. So we are going out for lunch tomorrow instead. 54 years........can’t believe it.
So Dexter and I are having a nice afternoon hopefully in the garden. He is wearing the cone of shame as he had a small cut on his back paw and he won’t stop licking it. Luckily he doesn’t mind it and still manages to play with his toys although watching him trying to pick up his big football is very funny.
Hope you’re all having a good day 🌞
