What a busy and complicated day you are planning Gemini, hope the traffic and the drunks are not going to interfere with your enjoyment. My DD and Sil are on there way to Wetherby to spend the weekend with GD2's boyfriend's parents. I am sure they will love Yorkshire. Quiet weekend for me as they are away, GD1 and her partner are looking after his GM as his parents are away. GS1, his wife and GGS have the place to themselves.

Gorgeous looking weather for us, not sure about the poss. 30 plus temperature. I am hoping to get some gardening done unless something else comes along.

Sounds like a full-time job looking after DD's animals Oma. Hope the wardrobe doors are okay when they arrive. Do they just slot in?

Hope the in-laws are okay Nanto. I think it is freezing the casserole with the carrots in is the problem, I don't think carrots freeze too well. I also think I overcook my chicken casserole. How long do you cook yours for in the slow cooker.

Plant,to be honest, i never time things in the slow cooker
Everything goes in,and i just take it out when everything is cooked.
I always use frozen veg. Didn't think you could overcook a casserole in the slow cooker.
There is plenty of gravy in,keeps it moist.

Mam did as she was told this morning.I wanted to change bedding and clean the bedrooms.
Told her she would be better downstairs while i was busy upstairs.
Anyway, she did go down, and was still there when i left.

Enfys, good to hear P is feeling well enough to do some jobs.

      Gem,enjoy your busy day.

      Very warm here today.

I have always felt a bit nervous of Husky type dogs but I would love to meet Storm, Oma

I presume you just put the frozen veg in right at the end Nanto. I have some chicken skinless, boneless chicken thighs. I will start them off this afternoon Nanto.

Good Afternoon Ladies,I have been missing a couple of days after having my 2nd eye operation on Wednesday I was a wee bit out of sorts yesterday not at all like the first time but feeling brighter to-day.
We where quite a while waiting for the surgery as they where running 90mins late as a lady had collapsed (nice to know ) but all OK in the end.
The weather is quite miserable to-day very overcast not to sure if it is safe to hang out washing or hang on maiden in the wetroom nothing in the washing is important.
My eldest son called yesterday with the baby he is so so different when he calls on his own DIL was at work and he has childminding duties on Thursdays so when its time to go he wanders around the corner to have a pint with his dad in the beer garden and little one plays on the grass and swing before going off home, nice to see father & son enjoying each others company.

Plant its because they look big and look like wolves, but they are normally quiet silly dogs , but like all breeds im sure there are some that cant be trusted ,
I don't blame the dogs I think its bad owners .
We are lucky with his natural gentle nature , also we find no one just comes over to pet him without asking , they always ask if he's ok to pet and can they.

Oma my DS2 and his wife have Tyson who is a Husky/Malumute cross and is so dopey but as you say his size puts people coming over to him,he has one brown eye and one pale blue eye so when he looks directly at you he does look crosseyed to say the least he is now 10yrs old and as much as a puppy as he was when she first got him at 8weeks old,the poor chap is bossed about by their cat who claims no1 spot in the household, abit like my Oliver.

I’ve been to Pilates this morning, then called in to Town for a few last minute items before we go to Portugal for three and a half weeks on Monday. Washed the dog and gave her a haircut so she will be easy to manage for my friend who will be looking after her. Feeling tired now ! Going next door later for our regular Friday night take away catch up with neighbours. I’ll probably be on here intermittently over the next few weeks ! We have a week with one family and gs’s then a few days on our own before the next lot arrive. Not a lot of relaxation planned 😂😎.

Fnished up having a bust afternoon. DS1 came for his dinner.
Then hubby and DS1 went to pick up GD2 from work.
                      They stayed till about 6ish.

Going to be a scorcher today.

Just supermarket shopping for us. Not going into town.
                          Nothing we need/want.

Ironing to do before it gets too warm.

                          Stay cool ladies.

Good morning Nanto, and all who follow. I love the graphic - lying in the sun reading while butterflies over round the flowers sounds blissful!

Enfys - I'm so pleased P is feeling well enough to do things he enjoys. My OH would be hunting for the right piece of wood to mend the dartboard, too.

Glamm - you must be pleased both eyes have now been 'done'. Take it easy and don't look at any cobwebs!

Avo - have a lovely time in Portugal, although it sounds as though you will be kept on your toes with both lots of GC visiting.

Oma - I'm sure Storm loves coming to your doggy palace - I mean house!! We've got Bailey (DS1's Border Collie) for a week. It seems strange because Eva is still at DS2's, so Bailey's making the most of not having to share cuddles! We'll go and fetch Eva later.

It's a lovely sunny day, so I hope I get a chance to do some gardening later, but after such a long day yesterday I'm still tired.

Carnival doesn't get into full swing until 4ish. B and I always catch up with gardeners world Saturday mornings , consequently have 2 new clematis on order. Late flowering one, Princess Diana and a yellow Tangutica. GW is bad for the bank balance. Looking forward to seeing eldest 2 GD's today for a brief visit. Hope everyone has lovely sunshine today.
