Good Sunday morning Nanto and everyone.

It's pouring with rain here - again. I've been hoping for some dry weather to cut the lawn and do a mountain of washing - about 7 loads now, and counting! I'll have to make a start and the things I can't tumble dry will have to be dried indoors. Our garden's looking very sorry for itself and already it feels like autumn.

The house needs a bit of TLC as well, but if OH is feeling ok I will look after the GDs and Cooper here tomorrow and Tuesday, so perhaps I won't bother too much.

Good morning, showery here, yet again, forecast is better for the coming week though. I agree with you Daisy, a touch of autumn in the air. I didn't know Zizzy, but a lady I was at the sport school with on a Monday morning died on Wednesday, her husband found her in a chair, so sudden! I had to think of Zizzy passing away so suddenly!

I have just had a message from eldest son, they are in Croatia for 2 weeks, I am feeding the hamster and supposed to water the garden plants but what with all the rain we have had I haven't had to water them yet. With all the showers I tend to stay home more so have got quite a few things done that I kept putting off.

          Good morning all.

I do not like this word AUTUMN being bandied about!
Nan2, washing on for me too, have to make the most of dry and windy days.
Have a rest Daisy! Too wet to garden, no point doing much in the house with dog and GC days coming
Lizzie my OH fancies Croatia for a holiday. We know several people who have been and all loved it.
I'm glad you ladies had a nice lunch Plant.
Oma, I meant to post about that! Mum didn't go into either bathroom or kitchen while I was still there on Thursday. I had only flicked a duster around the living room as I had so little time, and I didn't expect her to notice that. It did smell a lot fresher however, as I had all doors and windows wide open the whole time I was cleaning.
She phoned me the next day, full of thanks. So, it was worth it! I am going to try to get her to agree to me doing a little each week, on one of my 2 weekly visits to her. It needs doing, she has neither the strength or inclination to do it, but doesn't think I should be doing it I think! I hope she will agree to me doing a bit each week. Better for her for things to be kept cleaner, easier for me too.

No plans today apart from visiting mum. We were at home yesterday and caught up with various jobs, including finally putting the dismantled cot up into the loft. I couldn't help wondering whether it will come down for a baby, or to go on Freecycle. My betting is the latter.

          Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Gem, they have been a few times to Croatia and love it, I went a few times, many years ago when it was Jugoslavia. Going back a few years now. Does your mum do all her own work? I have a friend with a mother who says she manages it all, until she offered to help last week and found out her mother doing it all isn't what it used to be.
I have done a deal with GD1, she wanted Spotify premium and I told her I would pay if she came here once a month to help me with work I can't do myself, she accepted the deal, now I have to decide what she can help with!!!

Lizzie, the link isn't working for me.
The first holiday we had abroad was Yugoslavia.

I didn't wake up until 10.30! Well I woke at 7.30 for a toilet trip, got back into bed and the next minute it was 10.30, so I am not dressed yet. No pressing jobs, sunny now so I am sure there are some jobs in the garden needing doing.

Sorry you had to miss Sil party Oma, hope B is feeling okay now.

It must have been nice for your mum to have a clean bathroom Gemini.

Daisy definitely leave things as they are if you are having the girls and Cooper tomorrow. Weather forecast is reasonable for them to be outside.

Nanto, shame you can't get away for a bit longer, men honestly!

Just been interrupted by a little boy knocking on my french window. He was objecting to being taken indoors to use the potty. Must go and get dressed

Plant,a lie in when there is nothing pressing is one of the perks of getting older

Lizzie, Mum does her own cleaning basically. Last year I got my DD2 to take her to her house and OH and I both spent several hours going through the whole house, which had got distinctly grubby throughout. Even then we could have done with longer. So, she needs a lot more help than she admits. I do her shopping, collect her prescriptions and audio books (and order both) and make all appointments and take her to them. OH mainly, and me to a lesser extent do her garden, apart from her lawns which her neighbour kindly does. It seems the more I do for mum the less she bothers to do for herself!

It started off very wet and autumnal this morning, but now the sun is shining and it has turned out to be a lovely day. My sister, BIL, niece and niece’s boyfriend are all coming over for dinner. I am looking forward to it. It the weather stays fine we will probably walk into the village and have a stroll around the millpond. Always a lovely walk on a nice day.

Not had any rain here today YET.
Hubby spent all day gardening. Cut down some lilacs and dug a lot a roots out.

Just been housework for me. Cleaned up, got the washing dry,so thats been ironed.

Sunshine - I hope you had a lovely day for your sister and family.

Gem - what a good job you took the washing in.

                          Nanto - you've had a productive day.

Plant - good for you having a lie in.

Lizzie - Well done on striking a deal with your GD1! You'll have to draw up a list of jobs for her.

Oma - poor B. Colitis is very painful. It sounds like a visit to the doctor would be good.

Oma - thanks for asking. J's eye isn't too bad today. It throbs a bit and he keeps seeing flashing lights but he was warned about this - it's not unusual. He's had a nice quiet day with breakfast in bed, and being waited on hand and foot by yours truly. Although I did send him out in the dark to empty the grass box on the lawnmower because it was too heavy for me to tip up into the compost bin! I didn't do any housework in the end. I did tons of washing and it stopped raining so I got it dried outside. But of course there's now a mountain of ironing to do! I cut the lawn but it will need doing again tomorrow or Tuesday because it was too long to cut it properly. I portioned up 9 days worth of dog food tonight so had quite a busy day. Definitely ready for bed now!

                          Night night everyone.

I really must try to get on here more often. I used to but I'm putting it down to school holidays etc.

Sorry I haven't time to catch up on everything tonight, but hope to on Tuesday. OH & I were going to York for a few days today but have since decided to put the money towards a week away ~ somewhere further away.😉 Gem, I have made note of the places to eat that you suggested. We'll keep them in mind for next time we visit. Thanks.

One I hope it's nothing serious re B. Can't have him poorly again.x
