Well screening went mostly well but they found a bit of a problem at back of my right eye ,
cant remember the name of it but its like cling film that's gone wrinkly

Said its not unusual and its a "age thing "

It can distort your vision like if you look at a lamp post and its wavy ,but as its not bothering me to just leave it alone , if I find my vision becomes distorted to go to Drs ,
Said if need treatment its just a simple scrape with a laser

The little bleed on the back of my other eye I have had for 5 years hasn't changed at all so said that's nothing to worry about either ,

Pulse and blood flow to my feet were perfect

That's me done for another year

Went to see GS1 before screening , he is as brown as a nut , enjoyed himself but said 10 days away was enough for him he was missing home and his Mam

GS2 sent me a pic of him drinking cocktails on holiday , obviously fruit Mocktails but he felt grown up .

Nothing much to report about my X ray LOL. Front and side views taken, results with the GP in 4 weeks.
I was finished in good time so had a pot of Earl Grey in the hospital Costa until it was time to go to my client.
DD's MIL is fine, as far as I can tell. Hopefully that will be the end of it.

Good news about your screening Oma , who knew that the back of an eye could become ‘wrinkly ‘ with age ? This getting old malarkey throws up all sorts of issues doesn’t it , and there’s me slapping on face cream and moisturisers to keep the wrinkles at bay and unbeknown to me our insides are wrinkling as well!

Gem hope DD’s MIL is ok. When OH had a heart attack it didn’t show up on the three ECG’s he had , they all came back normal but when they took some blood it showed up in that . Did MIL have any blood tests ?

Gosh I had a busy day yesterday, did the usual tidy up and three loads of washing, then went to the chemist to pick up my prescription. Came home , cooked lunch, then decided to do some ironing which isn’t like me at all. In the middle of ironing my neighbour rang. She had two large planters that she was getting rid of if I would like them so I rounded up OH, he was mowing the lawn and we both went over the road to have a look at them . They were in perfect condition, albeit a little dirty with garden soil .
OH soon washed them and they are as good as new. They are blue glazed ‘pottery’ pots with tulips etched all the way around them . I am going to plant them up with spring bulbs .
By now it was late afternoon and I hadn’t even sat down since lunch time .

Today I have to go to town to take back a pair of sandals to M and S that I had ordered online. The stupid things are too uncomfortable to wear. I am finding it hard to get a pair of shoes or sandals that don’t look like granny, sensible or school shoes that don’t hurt my bent arthritic toes . ☹️ I want something ‘ glittery, sparkly’ to wear to an after wedding party next month.

Off to MIL's this morning then after lunch im going to paint the walls inside the sliding wardrobes , Took the doors off yesterday and someone came for them , I had advertised them and within 1 hour they came for them
Picked new ones in Grey Oak
Need new sliding drawer baskets for the interior as the ones I have are quite old so not sliding as well as they did , will go to Ikea tomorrow , don't want t pay a lot as no one sees them

Sunny here, hope it lasts, going to see my sister this afternoon, DD is taking me. We do talk on the telephone once a week but it will be nice to see her. DD and Sil have all 4 of their children back, plus 1 wife and 1 partner and GGS. GD2 is just back for a doctors appt. GS2 isn't well. Goodness knows where they all slept. GD1 knocked on my window yesterday to show me that she now has her engagement ring, very pretty it is too. Embroidery group talk last evening was awful, it was like a maths lesson which you couldn't understand.

Today we are helping out one of OH's golf friends. Her father died some months ago (at 101!) and his flat it up for sale. There are a couple of things which needed taking to the tip. Friend's husband isn't up to it due to being fairly immobile now. OH was asked, and we are both going and friend is buying us lunch It is somewhere in Leeds.
This afternoon we need some shopping and I would like to visit auntie.
So, if I am missing I'm just busy and will be back to post properly here, and elsewhere around the forum, later!

Just surfacing after a hectic week with wall to wall GCs. All well behaved of course. 😁 GSs 3 and 4 came Friday till Sunday which was a first, not slept here without a parent before but they were fine.
It’s sunny here but a chill wind. My plan is to weed. This will take most of the day!

Just come in from town and what a waste of time that was. Searched high and low looking for shoes without any luck. Well I did see a pair of shoes I really liked , they were multi coloured , purples, pinks, black etc , sounds horrible I know but they were very nice and what stopped me from buying them ....the price £120... a lot of money when I might only wear them once . OH said I should have brought them.
I said I need something with a round toe , rather like my slippers so that nothing touches my toes, and he suggested clown's shoes

The sun is out at the moment but it speaks of rain for tomorrow and then generally downhill from then , surely we aren't fast-forwarding to autumn already are we

We got our jobs done with OH's friend, and had a lovely chatty lunch on our way back. OH and I then went to Sainsbury's.
Never got to auntie's so maybe that will be the weekend, or next week.
GS1 on holiday this week, hence my free day today. GD will be staying overnight tomorrow night after our day out, so I must make up her bed soon.

Raining this morning.

I was going to clean outside doors at in laws, but not while its raining.
Not to worry,can find plenty to do inside.

Corned beef and mash pie for dinner today. Took it out of the freezer last night.
