    Good afternoon all.
This weather has been horrible hasn’t it. The local supermarket has had to close because rain started pouring in through the roof yesterday afternoon while people were doing their shopping. The staff asked customers to make their way to the emergency exit, but one of the exits wouldn’t open which started a mini panic.
Another supermarket has also had to close because the underground parking is flooded and part of the warehouse has water damage and another one is closed because of a gas leak. I’m just grateful that my online shopping arrived yesterday.

Did I hear Oma is cleaning her cupboards? You can come and do mine when you have finished Oma

DS and DIL have just gone, they came by with our Christmas seed potatoes as they are going away next week . Just got to get some potting compost and I will be all set to go !

Hope the weather improves for any ladies doing ‘out door ‘ things this weekend.

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

We have been out looking for new doors for my Sliding wardrobe system , its hard to pick a colour ,
I didn't want anything with Mirrors or beading or white .

Think I have settled on a light Grey Oak effect plain door

It was very wet in Ilkley, and all the way back! After breakfast we managed a good look around the food market between showers.OH bought a shoulder bag (from one of the non-food stalls!)
The outdoor pool looked lovely for local people - on a nice day!
We got back mid afternoon. We decided to come back once the rain really set it. We had a lovely time. Just one night away can do you good

It's been very gusty here all day. Poor Eva has been freaking out, even with her thundershirt on, but that did help a bit. We've been doing more paperwork, and still lots to do.

I must do some ironing tonight - my wardrobe is beginning to look rather empty. And I've still got some things out on the line - hoping they'll dry in the wind, in between showers.

Gem - glad you're back safely.

Glad you had a nice time Gem.

Enjoyed knit and natter today, nice to get out. We meet in the library and always get people coming up to see what we’re doing and chat with us. Today a lovely Chinese lady came and sat with us, she was very interested in our little group and we invited her to join us next time. She was so interesting to talk too and seemed very pleased with the invite.

Still very windy here although the rain has rain has held off and it got dark really early too.

Good Sunday morning Nanto and all who pop in later.

Nanto - you always have something tasty tucked away in your freezer. I keep promising myself I will cook for the freezer to ease those days when you do't have time - or inclination - to cook from scratch.

It's sunshine and showers here, and much cooler than it has been lately. The lawn is nice and green again - and growing too fast for me to keep up.

We're going back up to Stoke today, probably until Thursday. I'll pop in as and when I can, but we want to get most of the sorting out done. A friend has offered to come and help and an extra pair of hands will make a big difference. We're road testing yet another Premier Inn this time. At this rate I'll be able to write the definitive Travel Guide to Premier Inns! LOL

Eva is off on her holidays - to stay with Cooper. I'm sure we'll miss her more than she'll miss us.

                    Be good while I'm away.

It seems to be a never ending task.

Hope the trip to Stoke is successful Daisy, perhaps when it it sorted you and OH can have some ME time.

Very dreamy night, I dreamed we were at Tissy's funeral, couldn't see your faces.

I hope the Chinese lady does join your group, it is nice to welcome new faces. A new couple have joined our bowls group, most of us are getting a bit doddery so good to have some fresh younger blood.

Haven't had a cottage pie for ages Nanto, I like Worcester Sauce in mine please.

                            Morning.

Thank goodness the weather has calmed down a bit.

Oma, how did you advertise the toys for sale? Was it local like Gumtree or local paper etc.?I ask because I must get round to getting rid of things and though some are not worth selling and can go on Freecycle, others are new or very nearly so and are worth getting some pocket money for.

Daisy as I commented in your Jottings you should be going away in your caravan instead of travelling to Stoke for such an arduous task. I bet Eva won’t even notice you’ve gone.

Have a good day whatever you’re doing.

                              Good morning everyone.

Pretty flowers on this morning's graphic Nan2.
Enfys, yours sounds a welcoming group. It's sad when you hear of people plucking up courage to go along to something like that but feeling unwelcome so not returning.
Plant, Tizzy is on your mind xx
Clover, GumTree is good, and as you say Freecycle for things you don't want any money for. If there is a local FB group, they are a great place to sell (and buy, hence my coming home with a bean bag chair with dinosaurs pattern on on last week )
Oma, I don't think GS2 will be as hilarious as his cousin, but he is certainly a determined little character with his own mind
Daisy, safe trip and I'm glad a friend is helping you. Don't worry about us at all. Pop in if you want to and can, but all will run smoothly here until your return

No plans for much today. OH is going to see a golf friend who has had a bunion op. On both feet! I will go and see my mum.

Have a good Sunday whatever you are doing.

Clover most I advertise on FB like Gem said they usually have a local selling page on market place. That's where all ours have gone from but I like local Gumtree too.
