Aqua and food shopping for me today, weather quite dull. Family due back today from their holiday. I bought GD1 and her partner a congratulations card, a balloon and a bottle of champers yesterday, all their friends and work colleagues now know, GD is not looking forward to returning to work on Monday. Have to get ready now, will pop back later.

      Good morning everyone.

      It's not raining .

      Terrible about the flooding Nan2.
      Have fun at aqua Plant.
I bet GD was delighted with the engagement gifts!

We loved Measure For Measure , and it was lovely to catch up with DD3.
Neither of us knew the play, so it was quite tense wondering how it would pan out!
It was a live streaming from Stratford on Avon.

Today is a usual Thursday here. OH golf this afternoon, me doing Mum's shopping and visiting her .

      Have a good day everyone.

        Morning ladies ,
Its dull and damp but nothing like the poor people in Yorkshire have had , all that live stock gone peoples homes and businesses destroyed

B gone off to see his Mam I have been having a good dust through used my long handled duster to do along the edge of ceilings and walls get any cobwebs lurking ,
I have a little ironing to do only about 8 garments but I will leave them till later ,

I am very tired today , up and down all night with Cramps in my toes and shins , no sooner did I think they had gone , drop off to sleep and had to jump out of bed again

I think we heading for a storm I have just realised how quiet it is outside , no birds making their usual racket or flying around , They usually do that when heavy rain is coming our way ,
All my windows and doors are open I might pull them too for a while especially the bedroom windows just in case ,

Have a good day ladies xxx

Good morning everyone. I've only read yesterday's posts - so lots to catch up on - but as you can imagine things are a bit hectic at the moment. Enfys, It's lovely to hear P is feeling better and you're looking forward to your trip to Devon. Enjoy your girly day. xx

We're now back home with a mountain of arrangements to make. I'm trying to make sure I contact all his friends up in Stoke - people I don't know. On Tuesday morning one friend rang up wondering where he was - they were due to meet for a walk - and I had to tell him the news. Then yesterday a letter arrived from what was obviously an old friend - but there was no surname or address to help me identify the sender. I've found it very hard to have to go through his personal papers and belongings. He was a very private person and it seems so intrusive. We can't even arrange his funeral yet as the Coroner has requested a post mortem. We managed to cancel his car insurance which was due for renewal today, plus reorganising his house insurance because it will be empty. His neighbours have been very kind and helpful and one is a retired policeman who has promised to keep an eye on things.

One bright spot was meeting up with two special friends - we were neighbours as children and have always kept in touch but hadn't actually met for donkey's years. We met for dinner on Tuesday evening - it was the first time OH had met G (he had lived in New Zealand for many years), but they got on really well and shared the same silly sense of humour.

I'll be back later to try and catch up with all your news.

Good morning, I have been picking brambles again so I have been busy, my son is dropping the youngest granddaughter off here as he is on his way to Schiphol, my DIL will pick her up on her way home from work at 6pm, we may get a bike ride to Delft it is stays dry, was a slight shower at 8am but been dry since. The eldest, almost 14, will stay home, she has to go to the dentist and arranges that herself so no bother.

Nothing exciting happening, just a kitchen full of jam!!! I need to have my hair cut, will see if I can make an appointment for tomorrow. I go to the sport school first, go twice a week and love it! With the lipedema they advise to move, I went to medical training a few years but when that stopped I went to the sport school, I go early ,really nice friendly group of people ! I need to do some shopping but Madelief will help with that, she enjoys helping.

Good to have you back Daisy.
What a grim couple of days it must have been.
I'm glad there was the bright spot of meeting old friends

Oma closing the windows against the coming storm is very wise!

Afternoon all. I’ve been busy today . I have done three loads of washing and then put the machine on for a ‘drum clean ‘ , it really makes a difference. It’s all sparkling and like new now. I have also cleaned the windows, got up the last of the potatoes in the planter. There was just three little potatoes hiding in the bottom, it’s a good job I’m not expecting any one for lunch.
I have to buy potatoes now but it’s the first time since June so it’s been a good year , crop wise.
DS has got some seed potatoes for us to grow for Christmas , he will be round with them when he is back from holiday.

Daisy nice to see you back , sorry to see that you have had a hard few days. X

Oma how are you feeling, cramps gone away I hope. OH Keeps nagging me to go back to the drs as I had a bad day yesterday, I think every joint ached , but what will he do apart from advising me to take pain killers and keep moving about which is what I am doing. OH thinks there is a miracle cure for everything

Not a lot planned for the rest of the day apart from make some sort of lunch with 3 potatoes and pop out and post DD’s wedding anniversary card for Saturday.

Have a a good day everyone.

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good afternoon all, we have done the usual been to Morrisons for our weekend bits and pieces. Always end up spending more than what was on my list. Was up very early this morning so all chores were done before shopping. Now having lunch, then going to wrap Ts gifts and make a diabetic cake for her. Will try to fit in a granny nap if I get time for
                  exhausted today for some reason.

Hope you get your Nanna nap Libra, recharge the batteries.

Homegrown pots for Christmas (sorry Daisy) Mimi that sounds good. I really miss my late OH's vegetables.

Lizzie an outing on bikes with GD sounds lovely.

Oma, I hope you get a better nights sleep without cramp tonight, I get it in my calf sometimes and have to get up. They say to walk on cold floors will ease it.

Daisy, what a difficult job you have arranging a funeral and dealing with your cousin's possessions. I hope the funeral isn't held up too long.

We have sunshine here atm, I am going to take my newspaper into the sunroom. Just heard the travellers have moved onto a field next to a Senior School in our village. They claimed the padlock on the gate was already broken, who are they kidding.

Oma I get the cramp and it’s really debilitating, hope you get some sleep tonight as I didn’t much neither we played musical beds last night with the twins , they went to bed and I read a story about 8 ish I fell asleep by the side of them, woke and came downstairs in time for the news, who should follow me down but the twins 🥴 so finished my drink and took them into my bed I think the quilt in the spare bedroom is a heavy one , we all went to sleep again about 5 this morning I found myself gripping the side of the bed and wandered off to the spare room, an hour later they were both in with me again plus teddies, we got up at 7;45 , it been a really long hard week, the equivalent of 7 children over 4 days 3 sleepovers 3 on the same day it was loud and chaotic, twin J said grandma this is the best day ever 😱🥵 I’ve gone through 4 litres of milk a packet of porridge , 12 mini rolls, a box of brownies and a tall tube of Pringles, apart from meals , the weather has been so bad we have been stuck in and I fear lunacy has taken over the asylum thats me and him indoors, more of the same next week

Qwerty I don't think I could do all that child care now , We have no little ones overnight now and I still play musical beds and sofa

Daisy a stressful week and still more to come sadly .

I did my ironing and hoovered the bedrooms then when B came back from his Mams I made lunch and we popped to Lidl.

Came home and I went to lay on the bed for half hour , 2 hours later I found myself fighting to wake up I was still so tired but I know I wouldn't get any sleep tonight if I lay any longer

Its very stuffy at the minute ,

Been upstairs to treat my feet and cream them now have socks on and my feet are so hot but if I take the socks off I will get cream everywhere . cant win either hot feet or rough feet

Snap Oma but I slept from 1.30 to 4pm 😮😮 I was on my knees tired. Had to snap to it and cook tea, make a very small diabetic cake for tomorrow and wrap all her gifts. Wide awake now but will no doubt sleep come bedtime around 12pm. Love my bed 💖

Lizzie, I always think of cycling in connection to you!
Qwerty, some sort of bribery to get those children to stay in their beds is needed I think!!
                              Enjoy the peace now 😊
I hope all the sleeplessness ones sleep well tonight.

All fine with mum today. I took her shopping to her, did half an hour's gardening and had a good chat.
Laptop is no more. It could possibly be repaired but could be costly and our guy doesn't recommend it. We have had it a while and the sound doesn't work properly, so the decision wasn't difficult.
We shall go laptop shopping tomorrow.

Qwerty, that is a lot of childcare. I think my patience would have been truly tested with the bed hopping, they shouldn't still be doing that at their age. How is J coping with the noise?
