We went to a very posh golf club for SIL's Birthday ( his choice )
Meal was lovely but way over priced , £36 for a piece of Sea Bass on crushed potatoes and puree Butternut squash smeared around the edge of plate

They host the big Golf tournaments so get all the wealthy people in , a one off for us I wouldn't go regularly apart from the price its miles away from us

Bright but breezy this morning.

Off to in laws later,but no specific plans for after.

Sounds good Oma but £36 for a piece of sea bass, that's a bit over the top.

Bowls for me this afternoon, GS1, and family off to join the others in Portugal this morning so I will be on my own apart from GD1's boyfriend in the cabin. I am going to spend the weekend with my son and his family on Friday, he lives only 20 mins away so I will be coming back daily to check on the cats. Very dull here, not sure what to expect weatherwise today. I am a bit worried about GGS going to join the family in Portugal with the temperatures they are expecting they only have a roof terrace and he loves to run around our garden and his mother is expecting a baby middle of Sept., she is going for a scan before they go to the airport.

Good morning everyone. We are still at Ds1’s! The tin shed is now up and filled with all the stuff from the garage and the rooms that are being rebuilt but there are no doors on it yet so that’s today’s job. DS still can’t drive so is working from home. We’ll be going home tonight so will be able to have the girls tomorrow.

It is my mum's appointment with the GP for her carpel tunnel this morning, which has been bothering her for while now. She had the injection years ago, which worked well. Hopefully he will give her another when we go today.
This afternoon OH and I and my auntie are going out for tea and cake.
We both slept late this morning for some reason , so I had better get a move on now!

The washing should dry quickly today, because not only is the sun shining we have a nice breeze to go with it.

Dentist and hygienist earlier, all well there so see you in 6 months! That's the kind of visit I like. Only had to pay for 30minutes parking as it's free until 9.00am...even better!

I was shattered today when i got home from in laws,but my batteries have been recharched now.

While i was out,hubby phoned me to say we are going to Whitby on saturday.
Friends of ours were booking and there was 2 seats left.They rang hubby to ask if we wanted them,and he said yes.
Its a coach trip.It will be the first time we won't have gone in the car.
When we have gone before,we have always stayed 3 or 4 nights.
At least we won't be struggling for a parking place.

My washing which was towels and bath mats, dried really quickly WG.
I love Whitby, Nan2, and no driving and parking, even better 😊

We had a lovely afternoon with my auntie. In the shade in a tearooms gardens.
Now home I am enjoying a Pimm's in the garden.
We have decided on ham salad with crusty bread tonight, so no cooking.

Evening all , as the copper used to say, recovered from the weekend of parties and twin minding , legs ok until I wear shoes or sandals then it sets it off.
Posted some pics of g/d day, she wants to go to Scarborough for her actual birthday that will be a piece of cake compared to last weekend, she went to another party at 10.30 sun morning the last of her guests didn’t leave till 10.00😱
My son and family are away now for a week in. Chester in a lodge and I’ve fixed the weather for them 🥵
Washed loads of things today went mad lol it’s the ironing I might regret .
Wbitby is a lovely old seaside town isn’t it Nanto even better when someone else drives hope the weather holds out

Good evening everyone. After what was supposed to be a 24 hour trip to DS1's we are finally back home - 4 days later! We are both totally wiped out, and I'm even too tired to read what you've all been up to. I'm so looking forward to our own bed tonight! I'll write up about it as soon as I can - it's Terrible Tuesday tomorrow, with school holidays adding icing to the cake! Seriously I love having the GDs, and Cooper, but I am seriously tired tonight.
