Good morning Nan2 and everyone else, and happy St George's Day!
I hope you are soon feeling better Oma, take it easy today.
Mimi, sorry to hear you have concerns over your son's health. We never stop worrying about them.

Well, mum didn't come to lunch yesterday. To be fair she has a slight cold and her ears are a bit bunged up. I took her some paracetamol as she had run out and some flowers. Some company, a home cooked meal and fresh air and sunshine would have done her good I know, but there you are!
OH and I went over to the golf club to have a drink with the ladies OH would have played in competition with that day, and came home and relaxed in the garden.
For the benefit of kind ladies worried about kitty, she was chasing butterflies in the garden yesterday. Her time isn't here yet
OH still coughing and sniffing, but not feeling too bad.

GS1 day today. I think we will go to the cinema, and maybe the park.

Have a good day, and keep well!

You poorly, poorly people, hope you all feel better soon. I am off to the hospital dentist this afternoon, long drive and not until 3p.m. Well done Nanto, I tried to post an image for St Georges Day but failed miserably. Everyone back to work today so house very quiet. GD1 settled in her new flat, she sent me a picture of her cosy bed. I am going to try to go to see Red Joan at the cinema this week, should be good.

Lovely to hear Kitty is still enjoying life Gemini. Will you see Dumbo at the cinema with GS1

Dil and I are planning a few days away in October, thought we would like to go to Rome. Have any of you ladies been? I am a little worried about the walking for me if there are too many cobbled streets, not keen on uneven ground these days.

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Plant we are going to Rome as part of our Cruise but mostly sight seeing on the coach and a hour looking around ourselves ,
we chose the coach trip as we had heard its cobbles and steps
Our DD and SIL went a few years ago and said the wait to get into the Vatican was 3 hours or more they didn't join the queue

Gem nice to hear Kitty is still able to chase Butterflies S sounds like she's turning the corner with her cold , apart from no sleep im a lot better than I was , managed a walk around Aldi , I did have a coughing fit but it passed quickly

Im not fat just 6ft too small

Bit too late for good morning, but it’s my usual Tuesday chaos day, with the added complication of liaising with DS1 to return Bailey. But all blown into insignificance by Sunshine’s news. I’ve known her son since he was about 3, he’s like one of my own.

We are all on tenterhooks for Sunshine's DS Daisy. Especially you knowing them so well.

GS1 and I went to see The Missing Link at Vue this morning. DD2 and GS2 are now coming over this afternoon so we went to the cinema earlier than we planned.
OH feeling a bit achey with her cold so I suggested she go upstairs when our visitors arrive. More peace!

Good afternoon all, while I was getting lunch I needed to get something out of our upright freezer...
grabbed hold of the handle and it came away in my hand
I have ordered a new handle and it will be here about Friday...mean while I have to work out how I am going to open the door with no handle !

I have been thinking about Sunshine all day, hope her DS is doing well

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Hope Sunshines son is ok, and your son tomorrow Mimi.
My sister in law had an appointment for 6.30 this evening, she is having a colonoscopy.
Hope it's only something to do with her being coeliac and nothing more sinister.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone passing by.

The sun is out here already Nan2, but I think we have thunderstorms forecast too. Lovely graphic btw
Thinking of Mimi's and Sunshine's sons today and wishing them all the very best.
Are you on the mend Oma? OH was coughing so much last night she took herself off to the spare bedroom.

Yesterday was a typically hectic day in the Gemini household. GS from early, then DD2 said they were free to drop in during the afternoon. Hasty re planning for GS1 and me, and we went to Vue for the 11am film rather than the 1.50 as planned. Home via the pharmacy as my mum was wanting her prescription. It wasn't ready so we went home and had lunch. DD2, GS2 and GD arrived later. A nice busy time with all 3 GC, inside and out. At 4.40 I had to leave them all to take another aged cat to the vet. The shaved one who has periodic suspected colitis. She had messed up her rear end and we couldn't clean it. Poor vet shaved and got rid of most of it ,and cat has 3 days treatment. Once all DDs and children had gone, back to the pharmacy for me, then over to mums with the prescription. No energy to come online much after I got home and ate!

This morning I will attend the annual review meeting for my sister at her care home. This afternoon is OH's appointment at the fracture clinic.
I have some secretary work to do to today too, but I will find some 'me time' between all that

                      Have a good one everybody.

                          Hope the cough eases soon.
Also been thinking about Sunshines son.

Sister in law texted last night, after she got home from hospital.
She said it was painful, even though she was sedated.
Got to wait for results, but doctor did say there is nothing to be concerned about.

It must be costing you a fortune Gemini in vets bills, how undignified for the cat and feel sorry for the vet. You are a busy lady, rushing here and there, hope your sister's review goes well.

Wondering how Sunshine's son is, it is early days yet.

Nanto it is painful when they pump air into the stomach.

I am feeling very shattered this morning, I had the most painful tooth extraction yesterday afternoon at the hospital. I have had several extractions over the years and this one was torture.
The nurses made several attempts to check my warfarin level before and it was suggested that they would have to cancel the appt. I pleaded with them to try again as I have to drive quite a distance so the dental nurse had a go and achieved a reading that was acceptable. I don't think the dentist waited long enough for the injections to work and I nearly hit the ceiling. I did tell her that it was the most painful extraction I had ever had and she said it was because the tooth was infected. Now I have to wait for 6 weeks for them to check if the bone has healed. I wish I had never agreed to have the injections for my osteoarthritis. On a more cheerful note I am going to Madrid with DS and DIL in October.

Sorry to hear you had a lot of pain with the tooth extraction.

We are thinking of going to Madrid in October.
I have wanted to go for a while. When we go away in October,we usually go fo our anniversary.

Good morning everyone. Nanto - I love the sentiment of the graphic. We can't have too much kindness in our world.

I know Sunshine will be touched by all your concern and good wishes. Thank you from me, too - she's a very special lady.

Mimi - thinking about you and your DS today - I hope everything goes well for him.

Plant - your tooth extraction sounds like something out of the Dark Ages. I'm sure you're exhausted today - I hope you can rest and it's not too painful. Madrid will be lovely, Im sure and a treat to look forward to.

Gem - Oh, poor shaved kitty. And what a day you had. It sounds like some of mine! I hope the meeting about your sister's care goes smoothly, and OH's appointment at the fracture clinic. Is she feeling better? Hopefully they can put a lighter cast on today. I hope both your elderly kittys (kitties?)are having a good day today - you need a break from trips to the vet.

Oma - you've been proper poorly with this bug. I hope the cough doesn't hang on - it's getting close to your cruise now.

It's gone very dark here and I think we're in for a storm. Typical, I watered the pots and broad beans last night!

We'd planned to go shopping for stacking beds today, but the fridge is bare so we also need to do a supermarket shop. Plus OH has yet to put a top coat on the cupboard doors in my study. We'll see how we feel later, I think!
