Oma - sorry your cough is still bothering you. I only had to go to our local little hospital and it's quite new, so there's plenty of parking and just £1 for an hour. I did have to wait about 20 minutes, but Friday's a busy day! Your GS1 knows how to live, but I bet Storm gets well fed as well! Haha - even the plants get spoiled in the Oma household!

Plant - I do hope your tum soon settles down - it must make you feel off colour.

Qwerty - it's a good job you checked your boarding passes, or you could have had a long wait at the airport. Are you getting excited? I hope J is looking forward to it as well. A full month should give you a chance to see what's what over there.

Gem - I can understand S wanting to get back behind the wheel, and a short drive she knows well should be ok. I do hope the pop up restaurant goes well tonight. It's kind of you to babysit - I hope they bring you a nice tasty doggy bag back!

I haven't even got out into the garden today - yet! It's not quite as warm and keeps getting cloudy, and I just haven't felt like doing much!

Qwerty, have a lovely time, don't miss us too much ☺️
You will miss a lot of our birthdays, and I will be in Majorca when you get back!

A very hot sunny day here, GC and I spent most of it outside, in the garden and at the park.
DD1 and SIL have gone, picking up DD2 on the way into town. It's is warm and sunny night for it.
Off to read to GS1 and settle him into bed now.
OH was fine driving to and from golf and actually drove us here tonight, but I will drive home.

Nanto - glad the clinic went well.

Qwerty - my goodness, you've got a busy few days before you fly off. I hope you can get everything done, but as you say, you don't need to take too many clothes. I think driving on the other side of the road is fine because you concentrate on being on the other side - I find it's when I get back in the UK I have to be more careful.

Gem -it sounds as though you've had a lovely summery day outside. Really pleased to hear S's arm was ok when she was driving.

I finally dragged myself out into the garden and did the lawn - but started off with the cutters too low and hacked some of the lawn up and the mower cut out! I really wasn't in the mood! Must do better tomorrow!

Decided to leave the cheery graphic again, until some members feel perkier.

Shopping in town today, then supermarket on the way home.

                    Sun is shining again.

Nan2, you are very thoughtful but please don’t stop posting your lovely pictures......I always know when the days started when I see them 🌞

P still having drips/tests etc so I’m still home alone! He sounded a bit perkier last night when he phoned me but we might hear more today.

I am going to keep busy today and clear the wardrobes out and have a good sort out. I must also have a decent meal today, I’ve just been eating rubbish which won’t do me any good.

Its a lovely ly morning here, very sunny and very warm already.......might actually be able to wear something summery. Have a good day everyone 🌞

Good morning Nanto, Enfys and Oma.

Enfys - I'm glad P sounded perkier last night and I hoped that helped you to get a decent night's sleep. Yes, you must eat properly - it's all too easy to just pick at snacks and you need to look after yourself as well. Turning out the wardrobe sounds a good idea, but don't waste all the sunshine. A bit of relaxation in the garden over a coffee or lunch would be nice. Sending love and best wishes to P. I hope you do hear more today. xxx

Nanto - we need to go to the supermarket as well, but I'm hoping OH will go on his own so I can get on with some jobs I didn't do yesterday.

Oma - I hope your cough let you get some sleep eventually, but yes, get that Nana nap to catch up.

                          Good morning everyone.

Nan2, as Enfys says, little things like the Good Morning graphic can cheer up a day when things are bad
I'm sorry you are still coughing Oma. Definitely rest today!
Keeping busy and eating well are a must for you Enfys. Or you will have us Grannies to answer to! Good to hear P is a little perkier.
Daisy don't overdo things in the garden. You are more important than grass and plants!

Today we are off to the exterior set of Emmerdale! I am looking forward to it very much, especially as it is not raining! It is all outdoors and takes about 90 minutes so could be a bit miserable in the rain. The whole thing including coach transfers (I have written about this on a separate thread) takes over 3 hours, added to which we have to drive to Leeds and back, so most of the day will be taken.
I am very glad that my little cat has taken her medicine this morning. I feel anxious leaving her if she hasn't.
My knee (the one which plays up but can go many months without a problem) has been painful and swollen again recently. The heat and being on my feet a lot with little GS at the park yesterday made it worse. Bad timing when I am on a walking tour today, but it will all be fairly slow imagine.

                          Have a good Saturday ladies.

Gem - be careful not to make your knee worse! Little cat was a good girl taking her medicine so you won't be worrying so much about her. Have a lovely day.

I won't be overdoing things - I enjoy gardening, but it gets a bit frustrating when the old bones start creaking before I've done what I wanted to. I try and vary jobs regularly otherwise I might end up seized up in a corner somewhere never to be found again!!

Morning ladies , I managed to sleep from 5-7.30 then it woke me again

Daisy watch that back of yours a little bit at a time is better than going full belt at it

Gem that's typical isn't it when you have some walking today , take some pain killers before you set off it may take the edge off , Put feet up when you get home and a hot pack on , I find that helps my knees , despite that I bet you have a great day .xx

Enfys good to hear P was more upbeat last night , you need to take care too I know how easy it is to live on rubbish a quick sandwich hear and there and it is a effort at times to find the energy to cook a meal isn't it .

Nanto are you shopping for nice things or the usual

Done my housework , emptied bin and recycle washed floors and did the white washing now enjoying a cup of tea and on hear in peace ,

Supposed to go to my Nephews Birthday tea today he's 53 but rang him to say we wont be there , I haven't got the energy to socialise today .we are a very large noisy family when we all together and even when your on top form you come away exhausted and no voice all the talking and laughing

Hope Clover is feeling a bit better today wish we could all give her a hug xx

                                Morning all

Thank you for your kind consideration Nanto x

Enfys I know what you mean about keeping busy but as Daisy says spare some time to perhaps sit in the garden with a book.

Gem the trip sounds lovely. Very interesting if you watch Emmerdale. I’m glad kitty took her medicine to put your mind at rest to enjoy your day.

Daisy I’m the same as you with gardening. It’s a case of “ the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak!” with me You have a gem of a hubby to do the shopping.Even in the old days mine never did though he would help quite happily.

Oma that cough is certainly hanging on.Hope you don’t feel too poorly with it

I’ve just stripped the bed and will get the bedding on the line before we go for a walk. Must remember to make the bed up again.I find it all too easy to forget and then find it’s nearly bedtime and no bed ready

Have a lovely day whatever you’re up to.
