Nanto and Clover - I hope both your appointments go smoothly.

We're so looking forward to Oma and Mr Oma arriving. I hope they have a good journey down. Ladies, I'm sure we won't mention any of you at all!!!! I'm sure we'll all behave ourselves. (Ahem!)

I think we have had rain, very dull at the moment. Food shopping for me today, not sure which of the two Waitrose to go to. We have roads closed all around us, mustn't complain, they are filling the holes. I think my DD is feeling a bit lost and not enjoying the empty nest since the last two moved out within a few days of each other, she is very much a mother hen. At least she has her GS and another on the way and they live very close. As long as they are happy, she is happy. I am missing GD1 too, as you know we used to spend time together, cinema etc but I am happy she is not far away and happy with her boyfriend.

Afternoon all.

Scan went well.We had an early start as we had to be at the hospital by 8.20,15 minutes before actual appointment time.I think I was first as we had barely sat down when I was called in.In fact we were walking away from the department at the time of the actual appointment.We caught a bus into town and had coffee and toasted tea cakes before heading for the bus home.

I hope Nanto’s appointment went well

I bought some bedding plants for my containers so hope to get them planted soon but will put them in the shed overnight in case the weather turns really cold.Too soon for them to be out full time.

I wonder how long it takes for Mr and Mrs Oma to get from up north to down south.It will be lovely to meet up.I’m sure you’ll all have a great,if somewhat brief time together.

I have to go back in 3 weeks for blood pressure review,and they will tell me results of the blood test.

Afternoon all. While I was absent for the last few days did I miss late spring and summer as I have just come in from a walk and it felt positively autumn out there. Dark clouds, rain and cold wind ! This weather isn’t helping my runner beans that have just started ‘running’ .

Now what have I missed .... did you vote yesterday. For the first time in my adult life I didn’t vote. I looked at what was on offer and I wasn’t impressed, just the same old broken promises .

Daisy whatever you do don’t let Mr and Mrs Oma lead you astray!

I’m looking after my neighbours cats this weekend while they go camping.... rather them than me in this weather.

This morning my shoes arrived from Debenhams. I’ve had to rethink my footwear options now as my arthritic toes now determine what type of footwear I can wear . Luckily there were lots of Hotter shoes on offer on Debenhams on line. I chose black and white spotted ‘pumps’ and blue leather shoes. Just because I have to wear ‘sensible ‘ shoes it doesn’t mean they have to look boring!

Afternoon all a chilly day today, went with Dil she wanted some trainers for Disney land and I bought a Levi voucher for my boy for his birthday, then food shop. I lead such an exciting life .
Glad all medical appointments were ok ,Nanto hope you get good results at some point
I didn’t vote I’m afraid yesterday the first time ever, just nobody I could fancy nor their politics .
Enjoy your bank holiday this weekend, we have DS for lunch Sunday apart from that very quiet.
Spoke to Oma yesterday such a coincidence that they are embarking 30 mins form the villa pity I’m not there to greet them 😥
Its my Dds 40 th birthday in July so we are having a mum and Dd trip away in Prague she doesn’t know yet, but I paid the balance today I certainly know about it !!}

Mimi, I have to wear quite 'sensible' shoes especially if walking any distance at all, or my back and hip really ache. Like you I don't want frumpy ones! Sketchers are good, as well as Hotter.

GS a very good boy all day, apart from not want to get into the right car seat for Mummy at home time! GD and I went to the after school cake sale in the playground then had a lovely chat all the way home. We will all meet up again on Monday, for DD3's homecoming party

Just a quick 'hello and good night' from me and Oma. They arrived safely despite a slight detour to the east!! It was a long drive, though, and B is an absolute star to have done it. We've had a lovely evening and they've just gone off to bed, hopefully for a good night's sleep.

Tonight we are going out to tea, with a friend. It is one of OH's golf friends, a lovely lady. We invited her to tea here tonight, but she said she has been to us a lot (we don't mind at all) and doesn't like to cook so is taking us out for a bite to eat at 6.30!
