No mist this morning!

I think we may drop in on my auntie today, for a catch up.
Our catsitting lady is calling in this afternoon, on her way home from a local petsitting stint.
Little cat doesn't seem too comfy this morning. I gave her painkillers early today as I wasn't sure she got the full dose yesterday, so hopefully that will kick in soon.

Puss is asleep on my knee, so hopefully the painkiller antinflammatories are working now. She ate her usual breakfast, and has been good lately. It is always a worry though, as you say.
Next Monday we should see DD3!

Hazy sunshine here, I am going to a WI craft session painting a plate, then after lunch I am going, with a neighbour/friend to the cinema to see Red Joan. In between I hope to see GGS.

I did quite a lot of gardening yesterday and some watering, the borders are so dry.

Good May morning everyone. It's dry and fairly bright here, but was chilly overnight according to the greenhouse thermometers.

It's a busy morning in the Daisy homestead! OH is currently heaving the old bed bases on to the trailer - my goodness, they do look in a sorry state! The new stacking beds are due to arrive between 9 and 11, and a friend is arriving between 9 and 10 to give OH a hand to replace two fence panels that seem to have fallen apart almost overnight! I'm sure I shall be on tea and coffee duty!

Thanks Clover. Puss has tried to nick toast from both our plates, she's feeling a bit better I think! She and her sister both asleep on OH at the moment.
I put the green garden waste bin out last night. No idea why as they collect it on Thursdays. I looked out this morning, saw no others and realised my mistake. I then saw my neighbour wheeling his out and looking puzzled. I went out to bring ours back and tell him it was just me having a senior moment

Evening each,
whizzing by yet again....sitting waiting for eldest two GCs to appear. They are staying until Sunday whilst the parents have a long weekend break. Back to the school run and homework! 🥴 Have been popping in when I can, but will have to catch up properly later.

Clover - you've been peeping, seeing me attack the skirting boards with a toothbrush! I'm not sure if Oma is prepared for the Daisy version of a clean and tidy house! Qwerty - we can always leave the Omas to it and go and sleep in the caravan!! Eva will look after them.

OH and friend have put up the two new fence panels - one took ages because it was a bit smaller than standard size so they had to cut it to size. Our friend kindly took away the old panels and other rubbish since he was having a bonfire at his stables (not near the horses!). OH came back and we spent quite a while assembling the new beds. We're very pleased with them, and are better quality than we'd expected for the price - apart from the silly spanner for bolting the side rails on. Still they're done now. Mr and Mrs Oma don't have to try them out - there's a proper bed in the other room!

Gem - I'm glad to hear little cat perked up later. She obviously still enjoys her cuddles. I had to laugh about you confusing your neighbours with the garden waste bin. But I'm sure most of your thoughts are on the week-end and DD3's return.

Plant - how did your plate painting go? What design did you do? My auntie was a free-hand painter in a pottery factory and her skill was amazing. Very interesting.

Grauntie - you'll be meeting yourself coming back at this rate. I hope you have a lovely week-end with your eldest two, and aren't too exhausted (you not them!) Good? We're always good!! Most of us!

Nanto - how satisfying to get everything done like that!

It's all activity around your house Daisy. Mr Oma is a good talker, like Oma herself, so conversation will flow on Friday!
I bet you are happy that OH has got everything finished Nan2.

I woke around 4.40 for the loo and realised puss was having an episode. I made a cuppa and brought her into the conservatory, with litter tray and water. Easily cleanable floor when she spots outside the tray. I must have found her at the latter end of the attack as she was soon able to settle on my knee.
I had an early night last night, I must have known. Last time this happened it was on 2 consecutive nights then not for over a week, so we shall see what tonight brings.

Usual Thursday doing Mum's shopping, plus voting! Non playing golf club afternoon for OH.
