It sounds so lovely there Daisy

Me talking to my mum on the phone at the moment is worthy of a sit com!!
I have to shout and speak clearly down the phone (OH said she heard me from outside) and I had to spell out the word drops, as she had no idea what I was saying!

I use a spray oil for my ears Gemini, it is frustrating if you can't hear conversation.

That paddock sounds beautiful Daisy. Yesterday my Sil cut all the grass and took the digger (OH's) just over the top of the grass in the corner and sowed a wild flower mix, I do hope they are successful as it is an area he doesn't want to keep cutting. Does your friend cut it when the flowers have finished otherwise the grass would get too tall. I think he sowed annuals so hope they seed down. That part of the garden is bordered with bluebells.

I hope the cats come out to play Oma. Holiday getting very close now.

Have a lovely day out Gemini, hope the weather is kind to you.

Good morning everyone. It sounds as though the weather generally is better - it's sunny here and definitely a bit warmer, although it was quite chilly overnight.

The paddock is beautiful, and our friends spends a lot of time maintaining it. Plant - yes, when the ox eye daisies are over he gets a local farmer to come in and cut it down, and the farmer bales the grass etc and takes it away - for fodder I suppose. A lot of the grasses have seed heads too. Everything seems to take care of its own propagation - the spring bulbs right through to the ox eye daisies. A couple of years ago he had the hedge layered and that is now looking great too - at the moment there is lilac in bloom in it which looks very pretty. He's very generous about letting people use it, and he only asks that people pick up after their dogs, and remember to close the gate properly as it's on the Forest. Yesterday I picked up from two other dogs! I can't understand some people's mentality, although I suppose if you're exercising two dogs you can't always see both of them!

Oma - I do hope Storm's playmates came out to see him. I hope B's blood test is ok this time. Hopefully your washing will dry outside ok.

Gem - perhaps your mum will be more cheerful today, but whatever, just enjoy your day with DD and all 3 GCs.

Avo - 24C sounds perfect - I'll think of you this afternoon, relaxing by the pool.

Nanto - slow cooked jacket potatoes sound wonderful. Enjoy.

I've got the washing machine going full blast - getting ready for special visitors on Friday!

                    Good afternoon all.
Its a bright sunny day here and it felt quite warm when I went to the hairdresser .

We had a busy weekend as usual . On Saturday we went to DS who had his op on Wednesday . He was looking really well albeit in a lot of discomfort but each day he gets better.

DD sent me a photo of GS 3 wearing his glasses , he wasn't very happy about wearing them because he says you never see football players wearing glasses !

We still haven't got the handle on the freezer door as we are still waiting for the appropriate screwdriver to arrive in the post.

                    Avo those temperatures sound lovely

                    Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi, pleased to hear you DS is getting better after his op.

All 3 GC were good, well 1 and 2 were, and only minor wittering and toilet refusals from 3

Oh poor Storm, cats are snooty when they like. I am sure Mr and Mrs Daisy will make you very welcome.

I hope Enfys and OH are having a nice time.

Been out to lunch with my Guiding friends and Tawny (Ex) came back for a cuppa and lots of chat.

I might try and find some Shasta Daisy plants for Sil and DD to boost their wild flowers.
