Still a dull miserable day here.

I hope you don't get blown away Clover!
Plant we must avoid garden centres when we all meet up, in case your dream comes true!
I do need this night out Oma, you are right. I have been feeling quite low and tearful lately. Mum is miserable about her blocked ear, same as last year, and of course she moans to me constantly , it all just adds to the rest.
Cats OK, thank you, we just remain thankful for each day that this is so.

I have done lots of tedious online banking car tax renewal and stuff.
Soon we are going out to buy cat litter. This will be entertaining as the bags we buy are too heavy for me to lift and OH has only one working arm atm. They will put them into the car for us at Petsathome, but how do we get them out and into the garage??!! I
I'm all for asking a considerably younger stronger friend down the road to help but OH is too independent!!

We should, have been in Salford today, at the Coronation St set tour. As the weather is abysmal, I suppose it may be a good thing we are not there!

It’s an ill wind Gem(excuse the pun) that you can’t go to Salford today.

We had our walk and not a lot of people about, just a few dog walkers. It was amusing to see some of the dogs with their ears streaming behind them in the wind

I was just in the middle of a Tesco on- line order when we had a brief power cut and the Broadband went down. Luckily it soon came back.

I’m trying to rouse myself to make a shepherd’s pie for tonight and tidy up the kitchen. My extended lunch break is well and truly over.

Very breezy here. Weather has been a mix of sunshine and showers.
Got all the shopping done in town and at the supermarket. We ate out.
Also had a cuppa woth DS2 and his girlfriend in the cafe where she works.
Ordered a new dishwasher today. We had one for a number of years, but when it packed in we didn't replace it.
          It will be delivered Tuesday.

Gem,enjoy your evening with friends, you deserve it.

Gem - I hope you got the cat litter home ok. You need one of those wheelie trolleys they use for moving heavy plant pots etc around, although I don't know how you'd lift the sack onto the trolley! Do'h. Yep, definitely phone a friend. You must feel everything is on top of you at the moment so make life as easy as you can for both you and S. Ongoing worries are very draining. I hope you can relax and enjoy this evening. Sending big hugs. xx

We've had mostly sun, just a few light showers but the wind's still howling round. Instead of dog training I cleaned out the big cupboard in my study. It's a job I've been meaning to do for ages and I've ended up with being able to put all my photography gear together, all my art/craft stuff on another shelf and have ended up with a huge pile of music - none of which I can play these days. there's a big bag of stuff for the charity shop, a load of recycling stuff and a fairly small bag of stuff to stick in the bin.

Clover I'm glad you managed your walk. I can imagine some of the dogs looked very comical! I sympathise trying to get the get-up-and-go to make dinner. I often feel like that.

Nanto - it must be rather nice to have a cuppa with your DS2 and his GF like that. Quite relaxed I should think. New dishwasher - lovely. You won't know yourselves with no washing up to do.

i must admit,i did miss my dishwasher when gave up the ghost.

Still very breezy, sun and showers and it's turned quite chilly this evening.

Evening all dare I say a busy day, compared to some it’s been a doddle, food-shopping this morning, Dd and family came for lunch just a sandwich, shopping for g/d school shoes with her mum she wanted sandals as well but think it’s a bit early yet . I am busy but I don’t think anymore than a few of us maybe just because I have young twins I seem more busy lol. Having said that my dils washing machine died on Friday as did the dishwasher , today they have gone up north to a birthday party this afternoon, and a night do for a wedding in Catterick, so I offered to do some important washing , uniforms for the week, something for dil to wear for the first couple of days next week plus pyjamas I’ve ironed them too , I can’t send washing home unironed , luckily DS does his own shirts , and hopefully by Tuesday it will be fixed, also have to take twins for swimming lessons on Tuesday as she is working in Sheffield and won’t be back in time , so it’s a pick up, a quick snack and off to the sports centre .
Tomorrow I am going to watch Eldest g/d march with the Brownies for St Georges Day parade that is if the weather holds fine , I can’t do rainy ,blowy cold days now the old bones won’t allow it then I will nap !!!!!

Nanto a lovely way to enjoy spending a cuppa good for you .
Clover good that you got out for a walk makes you feel better to get out in the open air .
Daisy a clear out of cupboards give us a new lease in life, that’s when you can get up off your knees 😦
Gem hope those cats appreciate your hard work and love , all that tugging about mind you don’t hurt your back, you don’t realise when you have one arm only how much you use it , onwards and upwards . You’ve had to cancel so many things too so frustrating .

We were up at 2:40 for our taxi to the airport which arrived 3:15 a.m.! Good flight and perfect weather here in Portugal. I’ll pop in from time to time to see how you’re all getting on!

Avo - I'm sure you will sleep well tonight after such an early start. Is tomorrow a lazing round the pool sort of day?

Qwerty - how did you know my knees - and my neck and shoulders - are complaining about the cupboard tidy up! Yes, I would say having young twins does keep you more busy than most of us. That's without extra washing and ironing! I hope your DIL appreciates your hard work. Hopefully it will at least be dry for the St George's Day parade tomorrow.

Nanto - how lovely that N is fitting into the family so well.

Good morning, Nanto, Oma and everyone. Nanto - I love the butterfly dancing on the nose.

It's dull and very chilly here but at least the wind isn't quite as bad as yesterday. I've just been to check on the greenhouse and it had gone right down to 10C even in there.

Oma - I'm on bedroom cleaning today - and the dreaded hot flat hissy thing! I need to mow the lawn, but it's too wet at the moment. Not much else planned apart from making some bara brith.

                            Have a good day, ladies.

                              Good morning everyone.
A dull start where I am.

Daisy, we have one of those barrow things. We didn't go for the bulk cat litter yesterday in the end, we just bought a normal sized bag from the local Sainsburys. As we have to pass Pets at Home today when we go to my mum's we decided to get the big bags of litter today.
Too wet for lawn mowing here too. Don't overdo the cleaning!

Qwerty, we have been frustrated and a bit down (me anyway) about all the things we have had to cancel. I am thankful for that one night in London we have had this year! You are a good grandma doing all that washing!

We had a nice evening with our friends last night, and good meal. It did us good. An hour or so before we went out 2 other friends dropped in to see us, so we had time for a chat and quick cuppa with them too.
This afternoon we are going to see my mum, and buy cat litter on the way.
                              I should do some ironing

                              Have a good day everyone.

Gem - I'm glad you got the litter sorted. Neither of you want to hurt yourselves.

A good meal with good friends is just what you need when you're feeling a bit low. I can understand you feeling that way though - all the nice things you look forward to having to be postponed, plus the ongoing worry about poorly kitties and still dealing with your busy life. I hope your mum is ok today - will she be glued to the snooker? My OH said it was quite exciting yesterday, although I find it hard to understand how prodding coloured balls round a table can get "exciting"! Each to their own.

                                Have a good day. xx
