In fact I didn't even know we were voting this time because OH spirited the voting cards away to a safe place without me seeing them!

Daisy in our voting area Labour has no chance of getting in and it's quite close between Lib Dems and The Others, with them winning usually. I hope it can be different this time!
We have had very little through our door from either of the other parties, whereas we seem to constantly be delivering them.

Oma I have a hairdresser’s appointment today as well but not until this afternoon. I have to leave OH for about 4 hours as several bus journeys are involved to get to and from the salonI’m sure he’ll be fine but I can never relax fully while I’m out. I think he sleeps a lot when I’m out Someone I know of who’s husband has A can’t leave him as he is a wanderer and never sits still.Luckily their son still lives at home so she has some back up.

Daisy I know you’re getting a bit impatient waiting for OH to finish the decorating. When he has finished perhaps he could bring his decorating gear with him when he comes to clean my carpets .I have several rooms in desperate need of a face lift I don’t mind waiting.

Morning all. Not feeling too good today as OH has decided to share his cold with me. His was a head cold( told him there was plenty of room in there for it ) but its decided to go straight to my chest . When I was a child I suffered ' with my chest' , used to have infection after infection and it feels just like that now , I can hear myself wheezing !

This got us talking this morning about the cures our mothers used to in flicked on us .

For a cough it was a spoon of butter and sugar (yuck)
Mum was also a firm believer of the power of TCP and Germolene .I swear if she ever lost us she would have been able to find us from the overpowering smell of TCP and added to that Germolene we must have stunk !

Not just you Gem, mum used to make me gargle with TCP and if she had run out of it she would give me salted water .... its a wonder how we survived

Gem we go next Friday , stopping overnight with a very generous friend who kindly insisted she opens her home to us ,( she has no idea what she's letting herself in for ) then sail on Saturday

Daisy I was up till 5 then went to bed for 2 hours up again at 7 , DS and GD supposed to be coming this afternoon but I wont hold my breath but means I cant have a nap till I know one way or the other .

I have been to Hairdressers took longer than it should as we laughed so much she had to wet my hair again

Brian been to Hospital but has to go back Monday have his bloods checked again as his platelets are a little low most likely to the fact he's getting this cold but they want to check again before we go as a precaution .

My Mother was a big believer of Detol everything stunk of the stuff ,
Our Dr once told her to stop putting it in our bath water as she wasn't allowing us to become immune to bugs ,

I remember my Dad and the Dr howling with laughter in the sitting room , She got quite indignant with him no one was telling her not to use her beloved Detol hahaha

The rain is lashing down!! I am glad I got my deliveries done, it was quite nice when I was out.
I'm not even going to the car to do mums shopping until this eases up!!

Good afternoon. An unexpectedly sunny day here, rain and wind was forecast. We have spent the day at the hospital, oncologist appointment, blood tests etc. The actual blood tests and the appointment were over very quickly but it takes forever to get the prescription made up. We had our lunch there and still had a hour and a half wait. I know they have to be very careful but it’s just soooo boring sitting around. Home now enjoying a very welcome cuppa ☕️

Then we have to pack for our week away 😀. We go tomorrow morning, really looking forward to it. Sunny 🤞 Devon here we come.

Very exciting Oma getting close to your holiday, how long will you be away?

I hope you are going to get straight soon Daisy, your OH is obviously a perfectionist.

I have been out all day, Aqua this morning, followed by coffee shop to say farewell to one of the Aqua ladies. Then had to go to a dental technician and sat for nearly 2 hours whilst he repaired my small denture, I certainly wasn't going to be seen in public without it. Read all the magazines and watched television. All this time my car was full of paper and cardboard to go to the tip so called on the way home, I was desperate for a cup of tea. Out this evening to a meeting with all the occupants of our road. It is a private road and we all pay towards the upkeep and once a year they hold a meeting.

My Mil's cakes always tasted of Detol she used to wipe all the kitchen surfaces with it. My mother used to roll butter balls in caster sugar and put them at the side of our bed when we had a cough. Love your mother telling the doctor to B***** off Oma.

Hope all the loved ones recovering from ops are okay.

Plant we away from 4th to 18th

Second night in a row we have been out for tea , last night with Friends , Tonight with the Nurses who looked after B we meet every 2 month,
Plus we are out Tomorrow night with Martin & Clare
Its all or nothing for us ,

Enfys glad everything went well , these Pharmacist's must be all the same we wait hours at our Hospital , B put a prescription in today it was going to take so long we told them we will pick it up Monday

DS was supposed to bring GD for her Birthday gift this afternoon then he text to say did we want to go and see the new house well you could have knocked us over with a wet lettuce leaf

Of course DIL wasn't there , so we went over and GD who was off for the afternoon was really excited to see us and show us her new bedroom .
We stayed about hour but GD kicked off big time as we were leaving , she wanted us to stay or for her to come with us , she was hanging onto Grandads neck crying then she grabbed my coat and wouldn't let go . We had to make excuses we were going straight out to meet our friends and not coming home first , if she had known we were coming home she wouldn't have let us leave bless her.
The new house is just what they needed and very large for a new build
