'Evening all! It sounds as though we've been keeping the dentists of the country busy today! WG - I hope you're not feeling it if the anaesthetic has worn off by now. Good luck for your check up next week.

GM - goodness me, you have been a busy girl. Enjoy the MQ Exhibition - I bet it brings back a few memories. How lovely to have some 'nothingness for a few days - chance to eat up all your Easter eggs.

Gem - glad to hear your auntie and your sister are ok. How is OH's wrist?

Qwerty - did you enjoy your lunch with the girls?

Plant - I hope the doctor can give you something for your eyes.

It's been a busy day for me. I looked after the GDs and Cooper at their house today, as Cooper's poorly tail was quite painful and we didn't want him play-fighting with Eva and making it worse. OH came over late morning and stayed for lunch. He dug some self-sown trees out of their garden - they were within a foot of the house so DS2 was worried about where the roots might go. GD1 and I pruned hydrangeas and cut back saskia daisies and a few other things during the afternoon. The house has a beautiful - and large - garden, and there seems to be something having its 'moment' all the time. We're still trying to identify some of the plants, and DS2 is starting to take an interest and make plans. GD1 has always enjoyed pottering round in the garden, and she's keen to learn. GD2 gave her scooter a good airing!

But, all that fresh air and hard work has left me shattered. I'm off to bed soon!

Tomorrow OH is meeting DIL between their house and ours to collect Bailey, their Border Collie - they're off to Germany for a few days, so we're having an extra house guest for Easter! He's very quiet and enjoys a cuddle, but after a day or so he will play with Eva, so hopefully it will keep them both busy!

Evening all and yes Daisy I had a fab time with friends at the wait for it THE IVY I’ve put some pics on , food was to die for although I am not ready to die yet lol
Food was beautiful and the fizz helped a lot , then to a nice hotel for coffee and Baileys which isn’t new we do it every time we meet, plus a beautiful perfumed bouquet of flowers
Tomorrow I’m out with OH and Dd will the celebrations never end and I thought I was becoming invisible but not a chance
Sounds like the dentists has made a bob or two today, but everybody seems happy with their treatment but bet the purse hasn’t

Good morning all.
As we are having DS coming to stay on Thursday till Friday DD suggested that we get our WII out ( Haven't used it in 5 years or more ) . After a lot of huffing and puffing getting the damn thing out of the back of the cupboard I got it set up in the spare room.
Well I had to see if it still worked didn't I ? So I played a game of tennis I am now worn out
It should keep GS happy but I think it will take me all week to get over it.

Hello and good morning from me. It’s milder, but wetter here. At least it’s starting to brighten up a bit.

I hope the girls will be able to play out later and run off some of the energy they’re currently taking out on reach other. Gem,I hope your busy day with all 3 goes well. I’m sure Qwerty will be having a marvellous day of celebrations. Qwerty you’ll need another holiday to get over all the parties 🥳🍾🎈🎂

Well that was a waste of time, when I got to the surgery and checked in I was told I hadn't got an appt. for today. I presumed I forgot to press the final button. The receptionist checked and said I had an appt. on the 10th May, I know I have senior moments but I can hardly muddle the 10th May with the 16th April. I asked her to cancel it but she only asked my surname and I am now wondering if she has cancelled another persons appt. with the same surname. My eyes are feeling a lot better and I shall continue with the brolene drops. Had a lovely morning at the Easter themed coffee morning with friends.

Mimi I miss-read that as Will and I wondered why it was a struggle to get out it out of the cupboard.

All my jobs were in the kitchen this morning, cleaning and ironing.
So, i put the tv on, the film A Kind of Loving with Alan Bates was on.
It's a long time since i last saw it, but i enjoyed it. Love some of the old black and white films.

Evening All!
I have tried to upload pics of my trip to the V&A to see the Quant and Dior exhibitions but for some reason I can’t. It was a fabulous day, OH even enjoyed it!
we had a delicious lunch at a Lebanese restaurant in between visits. Even the train journey was stress free! I will try to work out what I’m doing wrong re pics.

It's a bit warmer this morning,so we are planning on going in the garden,working not sitting.

Had a bit of a shock yesterday,hubby sorted 3 pairs of trousers and a shirt for the charity shop.

Everyone had a Wii at one point didn't they, then no one was using them! We didn't but DD2 and several of our friends did.

One of my oldest friends ( we met at toddler group) is coming for lunch.
Later I will drive OH to the hospital for her appointment at the fracture clinic.

A very busy day yesterday. I will write on the Easter holidays thread later.
I was tired afterwards, so we had fish and chips for tea! A friend turned up ,so no time to come online last night!
