Clover - you posted while I was typing - I wasn't ignoring you. I hope you enjoy the cinema - you deserve a treat after having to chase frozen peas all round the freezer! I hope your Pilates teacher is ok for next week - I'm sure it's something you look forward to.

Oma - I need a lie down just reading what you've done this morning.

OH has just had a conversation with the fencing people who want to charge £600 to finish the job (we found a rotten panel under greenery when we looked from next door's side). That's a ridiculous amount for the work involved, so OH has gone out to remove the rotten panel himself. I feel really cross about it as it's someone we know. We weren't expecting mates rates, but he's taking the you-know-what!

All ok for OH at the hospital, so that's that for another 6 months!
My cat is staying at the vet today having painkilling injections and collect a sterile urine sample and have it tested. Lots of blood on the vet's table so at least she could fully see the problem.
As the antibiotic injection doesn't run out until Tuesday they can't try another. They are sending some urine off the be tested for antibiotic resistance as well. Fingers crossed for my little sweetheart getting better.

This afternoon is golf for OH, seeing my mum and doing her shopping for me.
Tonight OH will be out at the golf club for a meal. Luckily there is enough shepherd's pie and veg left over from last night for me, so no cooking.

          Good afternoon all.
Re the dress that I have got but is down as returned, I have to take it to Debenhams next time I am in town but I am going to insist on some sort of hand written receipt as I know it can’t be done via the till .
Its a calm day here thank goodness, I have cleaned the windows, chatted to DD on the phone, popped to the shop for some milk and now we are going to have some lunch and then I am going to sow some carrot and beetroot seeds in the garden boarder. We were taking to an old friend and he has gone back to the ‘ dig for victory ‘ train of thought when veg was grown between flowers . He said beetroot leaves and feathery carrot tops look nice blended in with flowers so we thought we would give it a go.

          Gem how is puss today

Daisy that seems like a lot of money. I know it was almost 6 years ago but we had the whole of our back garden fenced for that amount, that included digging up and the removal of 3 smallish trees !

          Hope everyone is well

                Afternoon ladies.

Gem ,so glad S’s check up was fine. Always a tense time these check ups. Sorry though your puss is still poorly. At least vet is taking it seriously. Perhaps a change of antibiotic is needed. Never nice having to leave them.

Nanto looking forward to hearing all about your holiday

Daisy I know you always enjoy your lunch with College friends and I’m sure today was no different. I think that fencer is taking the “you know what”.That seems an enormous amount.I don’t expect you”ll be putting any work his way in the future.Lucky your OH is fit enough to take the panel down himself.

We did enjoy the film. No violence, just a nice gentle story based on true facts. A bit of shopping then home. I think I”ll do bacon, egg, fried bread and tomatoes for tea.Not too healthy but not to worry. Victoria sponge for pud.

Welcome home Nan2 Nice weather to come back to anyway!
I'm glad you enjoyed the film Clover. Your tea sounds lovely. There's more to life than healthy eating
                    New carpet Oma, lovely!
I hope you had a nice lunch Daisy.

My little cat is home now. She ate 2 pouches when she was with them, and another plus chicken since I brought her back. Certainly nothing wrong with her appetite! I am to her back on Tuesday for the bacterial results. If is is a bacterial infection they can try a different antibiotic then as the present course will be finished. If not it will mean an ultrasound to investigate further. I have anti inflammatories to give her.

Nanto - welcome home. I hope you've had a lovely time. It goes too quickly, doesn't it!

Gem - thank goodness S's check up went well. I do hope the vet can find out what the problem is with poorly kitty. I know you'll be worrying about her, but she's in good hands and hopefully the test results will sort things out. xxx

Mimi - at least the dress problem is sorted, apart from any battle you may have in Debenhams when you return it. You've been a busy bee today, but it's quite satisfying isn't it. I hope your seeds grow nicely, and both carrots and beetroots look attractive among flowers - and it probably helps keep the carrot root fly away because they can't smell them in among the other flowers.

Oma - are you pleased with your new carpet? I hope doggo treats it respectfully.

Clover - it's nice sometimes to just relax and watch an 'easy' film. Your bacon etc tea sounds yummy - I hope you have room for the Victoria sponge though! If not, I'll come and help.

I really enjoyed my lunch out - there were 9 of us today which was great, but the golf club was very noisy - it was the veteran's spring lunch and believe me the noise 100 or so men can make is quite something!

OH is currently wielding the chain saw ready for the fencers to put the new panels in tomorrow. We were going to ask them to trim the trees and grind a root out, but we're going to get a quote from somebody else instead.

Edit - Gem, you posted while I was typing. I'm pleased your little kitty is home - she will be much happier in her own surroundings. Finger crossed she won't need an ultrasound. I'm sure she will get lots of spoiling over the next few days, and eating so well is good. Will she take the anti-inflammatories ok? xx

                            Evening All.
Just whizzing by to say hello. I have been gardening like a mad woman all week. Digging out weeds, trimming bushes and trees, moving plants around. Just a small part of a border to do and then the veg patch if I’m still alive!
Will catch up with all the news soon.

Good morning Nan2. I like it when the weather is good enough to get holiday washing dried straight away
Good morning everyone else wandering through today!

Oma, the cat's medicine is liquid like Calpol, with a syringe thing. As she is so tiny now the dosage is small. I will put it in her food and hopefully she will take it that way. I will do it this morning.
What a busy bee you have been Grauntie.

This morning I have a Dr's appointment for my carpel tunnel, with the GP who can do the injections. It has improved a lot by resting it and avoiding using it when possible. Driving is still a bit tricky though. Whether he thinks it warrants the injection now remains to be seen. OH is going with me, as it may feel a bit stiff for driving at first.
GS2 for the day and GD from school. Potty training has been going well I hear, with the aid of sticker charts

                                Have a good day ladies.
