I got a wash load of towels dry on the line, with many pegs on each one!!
GS2 was very proud of his new shoes this morning, DD had planned to call somewhere with him for drink afterwards but he was determined they go straight to Grandmas to show off the new shoes
We've had a good morning and now he is having his nap. I am all geared up here with credit card and password to theatre site, ready to book panto tickets when the booking opens at 3!

Gem - I'm glad you got the tickets you wanted. Had GD been doing Red Nose things at school? GD2 had to go to school in something red - which wasn't easy as she's growing like a weed and has got hardly anything that fits! I got her a red pony tail bow and her mum eventually managed to get a red t-shirt from a schoolwear shop. How sweet that GS2 wanted to share his delight in his new shoes with his Grandma. The day will come when his mum will have to drag him out kicking and screaming to get school shoes for his teenage feet that seem to grow every day!
I ended up having a busy day! I collected Cooper from DS2 who was in bed with a bad back. I'd defrosted about 2 weeks worth of dog food which needed portioning up, and of course, Cooper found this fascinating! Talk about needing eyes in the back of your head! Then I took him back home at dinner time. OH hasn't felt great all day and so I've been looking after him as well, plus managed to push the sucky up thingy round and clean the bathrooms. I feel an early night coming on!
Oma - I did sleep well last night - and I think tonight might be the same! The fence is keeling over further and further, but OH says there's nothing we can do to prop it up a bit while it's so windy.

Thought I had better mention that I am having to leave the house very early tomorrow morning, so don't think I have deserted you all, I will try and check in later.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
It's not a good weekend forecast is it Nan2?
Plant I hope you have a good day.
This morning we are taking a cat (Shaved cats sister) to the vet. Last week I saw a spot of blood on the litter tray where she had peed. We kept an eye on her but no recurrence and she seemed fine. Last night, once the vets was closed, she started trying ( and succeeding in one instance, to pee in odd places. Also going to the tray and squatting and doing nothing , generally seeming distressed and unable to settle. She has only ever been to the vet once, (record breaking I imagine as she is almost 19) for cystitis. It was when we were on holiday a couple of years ago and our cat sitters took her. I presume this is what that is again. We phoned the on call vets last night. As it is £160 to take her at night, we agreed to keep an eye on her and take her if she didn't settle (before midnight, as the price goes up more then)
The vet said he doubted she would come to any harm waiting until today. She actually went to sleep and settled, so we left it. We are waiting until 9am to phone the vets for an appointment this morning.
OH has the golf club AGM this morning, so I will have to go on my own with her unless is is before she goes.
Have a good Saturday whatever it holds for you!

Good morning, Nanto, Gem and all who follow later. Nanto - Do you mind keeping the rain up there for today? The wind is bad enough without getting drenched as well.
It's very blustery here again. Our fence is doing the dance of the 7 veils, minus the veils! We're going to OH's niece's for lunch, so I hope it doesn't crash down completely while we're out and frighten Eva!
After lunch if it's not too late, we're going to do a bit more window shopping for armchairs - there are several furniture shops in nearby out of town shopping areas.
Gem - poor old lady. It sounds as though she's got a UTI or cystitis. Is she drinking ok? I hope you can get an appointment at the vets this morning. She must be a very healthy lady if this will only be her second trip to the vets in her life.
Have a good day, one and all. I hope the weather's not going to stop anything you've planned.

Gem, it's good news she's eating and drinking ok. I'm sure the vets will fit you in then. Our vets has 'emergency only' on Saturday mornings, and in dire emergencies they always say come straight in.

Gem I hope you make it to the vets and puss is sorted out.Why do these things always happen at night or weekends
Daisy Enjoy your lunch and shopping trip.Sounds my sort of day. I hope OH is feeling better to enjoy it too. Hope the fence battles the wind successfully
