Sunny here, Sil cut some of the grass yesterday evening, it was getting dark, his GS was finding it difficult to ride his toy as the grass was so long and he kept saying I'm stuck!

Out this evening to the local theatre, meal and a show with DD, Sil and his mother, it is our Christmas present. I thought I wouldn't be going as I suddenly was sick yesterday evening before I went to bed, I had been feeling a bit unwell during the afternoon. I think it was a dodgy prawn. Had tea and toast this morning, feeling okay so far.

Enfys, I am sure your son will be pleased to see you both on Facetime.

OH is going on her own to dleiver the leaflets I tried one on our own door and the pain shooting up my arm was terrible. I wanted to e mail my friend and explain, as it is only a volunteer post but OH insits on doing them all herself. My appointment is on 16th but if I can find a cancellation next week I will try to go earlier.

              Good afternoon all.
Well they say it comes in threes and my family certainly prove this.
As you know OH tripped and fell in the street just over a week ago. Last weekend DIL’s cousin feel and broke her elbow and yesterday DIL’s dad fell down a flight of stairs . He was with a group of men, DS included, on a darts weekend in Minehead. DS wasn’t with him when that happened but some one ran and fetched him and he said when he got there he said his FIL was unconcious and he appeared to had lost a lot of blood. DS went with him in the ambulance to the hospital. After several tests he was able to go back to the hotel where they are staying. He has broken his nose, cut his lips and his head along with lots of bruises. I’m going to wrap my lot up in cotton wool !

Enfys good to hear that the last bit of news on P,s treatment has helped lift his spirits.

Oma did you sleep any better last night .

Back to the painting I suppose, nearly finished the emulsion then just the white gloss to do .... on the doors ... and there are flipping six of the darn things !

Your family are certainly in the wars Mimi! Tell DiL's Dad to be careful of that scrumpy.....can go to your head without you realising it, as I found out to my cost the first time OH took me down there. ( he's from the West Country so he was used to it! I'm not and I wasn't).

Gem hope your arm is less painful now.

Plant....I hope you too are feeling better and able to enjoy your evening out. OH was sick last week, which is most unlike him. So maybe there's something doing the rounds. Take it easy.

Went to a coffee morning earlier and am now buzzing from drinking too much coffee! OH has gone out so am relaxing after having taken a pain killer. He's off in my car as his is poorly....the expensive kind of poorly unfortunately. They kept it in the garage yesterday, so at least he can't drive it and cause any more damage. At least the work will be cheaper than buying a new car. We seem to have a few things coming up over the next couple of months which will deplete the bank balance. But, as they say, you can't take it with you!

Sun is shining now, but rain and wind forecast for later this weekend.

Enjoy the rest of the day ladies x

Eldest gs fell at school on Monday from the climbing frame, he has broken his arm and it is now in a nice yellow plaster cast! Poor little man was very shocked by the fall and had a couple of days home with Mummy. So, I’m cooking his favourite roast dinner tomorrow to cheer him up!
Bought the Motorhome home today from its winter storage ready for a trip to the Cotswolds on Tuesday for a few days. Rain is forecast but hopefully there will be some dry spells too.

Oh my goodness, what a lot of accidents! Mimi - I hope you don't have to stand on steps or anything to paint those doors - just in case!

Avo - poor little man. I hope it's not painful, but his favourite roast dinner will cheer him up, bless him.

Gem - your hand does sound very painful. I'm glad OH did all the deliveries for you - I think you should be resting it until you see the doctor.

WeeGranny - sympathies over OH's poorly car. We had a narrow escape with my OH's car this week - we thought the clutch had gone (£2,000+) but it just needed fluid in a slave cylinder or something. It's not often we come out of the garage with a £27 bill! I hope your caffeine high has worn off before you go to bed.

It started off ok today, but it's raining hard now! No gardening tomorrow for us.

A footnote to the MSC Bellissima being christening today in Southampton docks - the planned extravaganza of fireworks was cancelled because of the weather. There were a lot of disappointed photographers standing out in the rain.

Goodmorning all. It’s supposed to be a windy day today but at the moment it’s very quiet outside.

Avo how is youngest GS , hope he isn’t in any pain.

WeeGranny I don’t know if he lost his footing at the top of the stairs or he had too much of the ‘ falling down water “ !

Gem how how is your arm this morning

This painting malarkey is certainly throwing up a few ‘ issues ‘ . My back is protesting, which isn’t unexpected but it’s my fingers and toes that are hurting the most. I thought painting the ceiling would be the hardest but no, it’s when I have to kneel to paint the lower part of the wall and skirting board that is causing the biggest problem.
When I kneel my toes refuse to bend because of the arthritis causing lots of discomfort and now a few fingers are also hurting from holding the brush. It appears that I have arthritis in them also . OH is doing his best to help but he isn’t in the best of health at the moment because of his fall the other day. Not only are we growing old together, we are deteriorating together!
Next time I foolishly think about decorating I will pay someone to do it for us.

                            Have a lovely Sunday everyone

Avo,hope your Sunday roast cheers GS up.Poor thing.
Mimi, hope DIL's dad feels better soon.

                              Gem, hows the arm?

                                Good morning GRUers!

Nice graphics both of you My arm feels OK thanks Mimi and Nan2. I bandaged the wrist, purely to remind me not to use it and that helps!
I will try driving today, as I need to drive to collect GS1 from school tomorrow. If not is is a bus and train both ways
Nothing exciting planned today, and yesterday was a lazy one! I will go to see my mum this afternoon. OH may come with me and do a bit of garden tidying.

Mimi, I did the lower wall painting of our hall and stairs and was in considerable pain with stiffness. Getting someone in next time would get my vote too Nan2.

                                Have a good Sunday everyone.
