    Good moaning Each!
Ha ha Mimi! The rugby will be on here too, but in a room that I won’t be in 😆 A very apt description of the game.
WG as Nan2 says, no pain is something to look forward to.
Sorry to have missed all the comings and goings here and I wish all the poorly people better.
We have got a meal deal from Asda for tonight, £15 for a starter, paté in a very nice dish (ideal for the cat, the dish, not the pâté) Beef wellington with 3 instead of 2 sides as we didn’t want the pud and a bottle of wine. I hope it tastes as good as it looks.
Blowing a hoolie here too, I may chance a walk down the road to look at the water. It’s a magnificent sight when it’s whipped up by the wind.
If you don’t hear from me for a while I will probably be clinging on to a buoy for dear life. Please send a lifeboat, preferably manned with handsome young men. Thank you.

Good morning everyone, and happy Saturday.
What a terrible stormy night! I think it is set in for several hours yet.

Daisy, how is your GD today?
I think we need a back pain thread! I hope the surgery helps WG.
I hope you don't get blown away in town Nan2!
I am very lucky that although loving most sports rugby is one OH isn't keen on. I agree with your description Mimi! I think our Plant is a fan?
      Enjoy your meal Grauntie!

I have missed too much to comment on everyone's post in the past few days
I seem to have been a bit absent from chat for the last few days. Mostly being busy, and on Thursday night just too achy to want be be online for any length of time.
Thursday going with my mum to see my sister was all fine. Except I got lost. Roadworks as I left at the right exit, temporary traffic lights, workers vehicles, utter confusion and no signs meant I went the wrong way. I eventually realised but could find no road signs to show me the right way. They all pointed to places I didn't want to go to!! In the end we got there, but I hate being lost, especially with mum who is oblivious and keeps up a contestant barrage of chatter in my ear!

Yesterday was an early hair appointment followed by GS2 for the day. He was super cute and we spent much of it talking about acting out and me telling stores and nursery rhymes I collected my lovely girl from school and gave her the same book Daisy's GD has enjoyed. I told her it came recommended
DD2 was going out that night a fundraiser organised by her best friend for the local hospice. SIL took the children home and DD stayed with us until it was time to go. It was like old times watching her put on her make up for a night out, and chatting!

Today OH is going to a funeral, one of the other funeral directors, he was well in to his 80's. A nice man well known in his community. It will be crowded.
I am going to see my auntie.

Have good Saturday ladies don't get blown away!

Grauntie - I'm afraid all the handsome young men are playing silly sports, so hang on for dear life. I love watching the sea when it's rough like that - take care.

        The meal deal sounds good.

Gem - good morning - we're all posting at once today!

It sounds as those of you ooop north have had a lively night! It's windy here but I didn't hear anything.

I hope your GD enjoys the book. GD1 has got Book 2 now, but she's been pre-occupied with completing a super duper difficult type of Rubick's cube. She's so determined and won't give up. Oh dear, getting lost is awful, and I know that sinking feeling - you get to a junction and none of the places are where you want to go. It's worse when your passenger isn't able to help looking out for signs etc. Well done for getting there in the end.

Storm Erik certainly hit us yesterday, quiet today. My day will be watching handsome young men throwing a ball around, not sure of the times of the games yet and England are not playing until tomorrow. That's my weekend taken care of. I would love a day at the seaside just watching the sea.

Hope the poorly ones feel better soon.

Gem I would have been in a panic, that was one thing I hated when driving if there were detours I was always afraid of getting lost , well done .
When my DD first passed her test she got lost and rang her Dad in tears , as she was near the coast he told her to follow the coast road and it would bring her to our local beach then she would recognise places , She wanted him to go get her but she didn't know where she was , this is before Sat navs of course about 25 years ago
Im not fat just 6ft too small

From now on my satnav is staying in my car! OH's is built in but mine isn't, and I only take it when I am not sure where I am going. This trip proved that even when you know where you are going, the unexpected can happen

Gem if OH forgets to put the Sat nav in the car he uses an app on his mobile.

Plant, glad you're on the side of rugger. The main rule to know is that you can't throw forwards. I think once you know that the game makes more sense. I really enjoy Six Nations rugby. Even better to watch a live game. The power of the players is extraordinary. You know what I'll be doing now over the weekend😊🏈

Still a bit breezy here, but the wind has calmed down a lot.

No change in prescription at the opticians.
I was surprised considering it's 2 years since his last test.

Went to a lovely cafe in town for dinner.
We have a coffee there everytime we are in town but never had a meal there.
It was dearer than a lot of the cafes, but it was worth it.

                      Grauntie,enjoy your meal tonight.

Nana, my phone had run out of 4G and I was reluctant to pay for more as it refreshes on 15th. However that is why I stopped the second time and would have paid for some when fortunately I saw the sign saying 2 and half miles to where we were heading
A nice meal out would do you good Nan2, sometimes paying a bit worth is really worth it.
Qwerty I hope you all enjoy yourselves and it cheers up OH.

I had a nice chat and cuppa with auntie, then OH joined us after the funeral.

Everybody seems very busy again today! I hope everyone's enjoyed their meals out etc.

I've made a start on giving my study/the GCs' bedroom a bit of a sort out. It seems to be where everything gets left if nobody actually want something but doesn't want to get rid of it! It's starting to look like the family storage warehouse!! I feel very pleased with what I've done so far, even though it isn't much!

It's still quite windy here and just a couple of short showers.

Pleased to hear I have fellow Rugby fan Nana, I think Grauntie is too. England are playing tomorrow, must see that, I expect I will watch it with SIL again. There are not many sports I don't like, motor racing is one.

OH & I like to see Scotland live when we can Plant. He was born in Scotland. They didn't do too well against Ireland today tho. Intetesting in our house when Scotland play England. 🇬🇧
