Good morning everyone. It's pouring with rain here, and still not properly light. We wanted to take Eva for a run first thing, but none of us would enjoy this weather.
I hope it's better where you are.
I'm trying to get put furniture back in its place etc today after the disruption of decorating. Then this afternoon I've promised to look after Cooper while DS2 and DIL take the girls to see Santa and his reindeer at the local garden centre. GD2 loves animals and she might be more interested in the reindeer than Santa!
I hope you all have a good day, whatever you're up to.

Good morning, it’s been pouring with rain all night and it’s still blowy and wet. I’m off to my Family History Group at the library and it’s our Christmas party so lots of nibbles. We are also taking a photo of ourselves as a baby/toddler to see if we can guess who’s who, should be fun.
i had a visit yesterday from an old friend whose husband has also recently been diagnosed with cancer which unfortunately has gone into his bones. It was lovely to see her and we had a long chat and lots of hugs. It was nice to talk to someone who understands exactly how we are feeling and I think she found support from us too. We are going to meet up sometime so the men can have a chat. We’ve known them for years but lost touch so it’s good to be back in contact with them.
Now I must get organised to go out, have a good day everyone 🌞"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

Good morning all.
Nan2, I think Nytol is worth a try. Have you ever spoken to your doctor about your sleep?
Another busy day for you Daisy.
We had a good night. The meal was good and the quiz interesting, some of them can be like an exam, depending on who sets them. We came 4th, Only 1 point behind the 3rd. If only my Doris Day, Richard Burton and 1983 answers were listened to
Today we are, finally putting up the Christmas tree, bought last Sunday. The outdoor lights and other things indoor have been put up now so it is only the tree to make it finished.
Have a good day everyone“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good afternoon. Its very wet and cold here.
I am pleased to report that the kitchen is now up and running but it hasn't been without a few problems,
When the old floor was taken up it had 5 layers of tiles in total and under that was a substance that looked like asbestos so a specialist company had to be called in to remove it. That put the kitchen a day behind. When the kitchen fitter arrived the next day we discovered the wrong cupboard for the one side of the oven was wrong ( new one ordered, making do with the one other one for now). It didn't have a sink so I was a day or two till that arrived. Now I was a day and a half behind. Then when the electrician came the next day he couldn't do any work as once again asbestos was behind the board which the metre was mounted on. Again the specialist asbestos company was called in
Myself OH and the cat was told to stay in one room and then the door was sealed over along with the bedroom doors, kitchen bathroom and front door was sealed. Red and white tape placed outside to stop anyone waking up the path along with keep out signs, God only knows what the neighbours must have thought.
After that things picked up and the kitchen was completed in time.
As with the last time I posted I have only popped on here to give you an update, got lots to sort out so I will hopefully catch up laterBring me sunshine in your smile.

Sorry I haven't checked in before, late rising and then got involved with urgent jobs. Miserable and very cold here, only been as far as the bin. DD has a nasty virus again so has gone to bed, GD1 is at work so very quiet next door. Youngest GD has gone to Yorkshire to spend time with boyfriend's family, they have booked a place in Northumberland for a few days then she will be back on 23rd.
I hope the twins will be good sleepers for you Qwerty. I bet they looked very sweet in their Nativity, definitely a wet eye occasion.
Enfys, pleased you found some comfort from old friends.
Mimi very dramatic kitchen fitting, wonder what the neighbours thought was going on.What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

It’s still blowing a gale and pouring with rain here and so dark. Had a great morning with a lovely group of people, lots of nibbles and chat. The baby photo competition went well, we were really surprised by some of them.
I have put more lights and candles around in the living room and rearranged the cards, so feel more Christmassy. P is feeling really well and looks so much better too so we are both look8ng forward to Christmas now, I wasn’t before but feel better now. Now relaxing with my knitting and a sneaky glass of sherry 🤫"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss
