Damp and chilly here today.

I was was hoping to catch up with everyone but Cooper has other ideas. He’s having a mad few minutes or so.... so will try and get back later. 😘

Has been very cold today but beautifully sunny. OH has been out and cleaned the green bin and mowed the lawn. I've been to yoga, done my last session at school before the holidays and am about to finish the ironing which I started yesterday. Then out for Christmas meeting of club I belong to.

DD's birthday, can't believe she's 42 already, nor that I'm not old enough to have a daughter of that age! It was a beautiful cold day then too.

I did a picture framing course Oma, many many years ago, but you need so many tools and space that I didn't do any more than the one I'd done in class. It is a very expensive business though getting pictures framed and finding a framer that has the same ideas about framing as you. I only do what I consider my best now or use a frame from another picture.

Good morning, cold here but bright. A much better day yesterday, we went to John Lewis as we had a voucher for free drink and cake and very nice it was too. Had a mooch around then back home for lunch. Supermarket this morning but otherwise no plans.

Good morning everyone

Have a wonderful meet-up ladies up North. Please remember some photos for us.

We are going to have Christmas lunch at the same place we had one last year. I seem to remember it was enormous last time .

I must do some washing and have a general tidy up this morning,also got to call in on a neighbour.I need to make a phone call to a person that I need to speak to but who didn’t get back to me on Monday.Probably didn’t get the message I left.

Clover - enjoy your Christmas lunch. At least you won't have to cook tonight. It's surprising how long it can take to follow up on phone calls like that. I hope it doesn't take too much out of your day.

WeeGranny - what a busy but productive day you had yesterday. Belated birthday wishes to your DD - I think you meant to say she was 22, surely? Yes, picture framing isn't as simple as it seems. I can cut mounts, but was never brave enough to use the glass cutter!



Yesterday was busy for me, too. I took Eva with me to look after Cooper as the decorators were starting on the hall, stairs and landing. Both dogs were over-tired and wouldn't give in and sleep. I managed to get a load of washing done for DIL and stack the dishwasher, and I wrote a few Christmas cards - yes, even I think it's time to get some Christmas preparation done! The girls got home about 4 o'clock and GD1 had to be fed, changed and ready to go out again at 5 for her school production, so it was all go - she was still running on adrenaline from the performance in the morning, but at least she tucked in to her tea. I haven't heard how it went yet. I'll write about it on another thread. And about dog training last night! And the decorating!

Plant - Christmas lunches aren't kind to waistlines, but enjoy your Aqua lunch anyway!

We went out for our first Christmas lunch last Friday, and it's a large 'do' where you have to choose your meal in advance. I'm not that keen on roast turkey etc so I had a delicious prawn starter with a roasted vegetable risotto for the main course, and cheese and biscuits for pudding. Most people had the turkey and it was huge - with an enormous amount of stuffing and by the time they got to Christmas pudding and mince pies they were struggling. I was so glad I'd opted out! It certainly wasn't a low calorie meal, but not as heavy as the turkey!

Afternoon all. I have been AWOL for the last few days as I was confined to one room because the new kitchen threw up many problems which I will update when it is actually finished. The decorater is coming tomorrow so it will be all chaos here again honestly I don’t know which way is up !!!
Going to meet the ‘girls’ later for our Christmas meal, really looking forward to it.
