Assessor has been Nan2 (after 12) and was here a while. He sounded confident that we would be offered the cost of a new carpet, minus the underlay, cost of fitting, and the excess. We have to wait to hear officially from the insurance company .

Good news that B's levels are higher Oma, and that his brother is willing to donate again. Not such good luck that he needs the top up though!

Enfys, you are feeling overwhelmed right now. I have felt overwhelmed at times, over my own and OH's health. It is natural and it will pass and you will bounce back. Oma really understands.
I'm sure it is understandable for P to feel this way, although bad luck it seems. Even harder when he was feeling OK before. Having to feel worse to in the end feel better is unfair. Take care xx

Enfys......these days will pass and the future will soon begin to look a lot brighter. P's body has obviously gone through quite a trauma and it's only to be expected that he'll take some time to recover. If his doctor's happy with him, then that's always a good sign. The fact that he's eating well is a good sign. Be strong !

Oma......hope B's top up does the trick!

Plant.......hope you're tooth is less painful and that you've decided what to do with it. OH is prone to bleeds because of his drugs so I can understand how you feel.

      Have agood evening everyone x

Evening ladies , Oma hoe did B get on ,and Enfys you sound a bit cheesed off , these days won’t always be like this you just have to go with the flow but that’s easy for me to say but like WG says it will get better after November
Today we went to a garden centre quite a way fro us 20 miles round trip but the christamas displays are stunning I could have spent a £1000 there and still no t got enough, as it was I bought some Turkish delight and Mrs Bridges chutney for sil so I was out most of the day and by the time I had done my pottering it was tea time and so I am on here now
Daisy I ordered my nail buddies got one for Dd and dil , might treat myself after Xmas
Plant OUCH with the tooth , I am at the dentist next week hope I don’t have any problems
Gem last evening sounds just up my street I bet she does well in the sales dept at this time of year
Oma just read your post , that’s a pain having a top up but needs must and as we say upwards and onwards

Enfys - wise words as always from Oma. Poor P - he's always so positive, but this seems to have hit him rather hard. I hope with plenty of rest he'll soon be feeling better, and thank goodness he's eating to keep his strength up. I think WG's right - any surgery is a trauma to the body and it takes time to recover. The doctor sounds very helpful and sympathetic. Take care of yourself, as well as nursing P. xx

Oma - I'm sorry to hear B has got to have a top up. M is a star being willing to donate again if necessary.

Clover - it's hard to say goodbye when you know you won't see them again for a few weeks. I hope getting out in the garden for a while lifted your spirits. Sending hugs. xx

Gem - looks like a new carpet is on its way for you.

Plant - are the ABs helping the tooth?

          Sleep well everyone. Night, night.

              Morning Nanto and followers.

Dull and not too promising weatherwise here.

Work for me this morning then a quick turnaround to catch the bus to the Memory clinic. I HATE going there. It’s not as if they can do anything except rub it all in for me. I don’t often write about OH’s illness but I might just get a few things off my chest in YEO at some point.

Plus all the bus times and routes have changed, just what I didn’t need.

Everything is a bit much for me at the moment but I know everyone has their own worries

I hope you all all have a good day x

Good morning everyone, including the glamorous lady in Nanto's graphic.

It's a very quiet day weather-wise here. No sign of the sun, but at least it's dry.

Clover, does G have to go to the memory clinic? What would happen if he didn't go? It seems such a negative experience, especially for you, and the journey sounds stressful in itself. Does it all seem worse after just getting back from seeing the family? You know we're always here if you want to talk about things. Have you thought about using your GRU Journal to get things off your chest when you feel like it? It's got the same privacy settings as YEO. Sending hugs xxx

Thank you for asking, kind ladies. My back's still misbehaving, but I haven't had a shower yet and that usually helps a bit. I'll be back later.

                  Good morning everyone.
Clover, I agree with Daisy. If the clinic is stressful, and presumably doesn't help your OH, do you have to go? We all have the right to refuse any treatment, from smear tests to flu jabs and everything in between! It it were OH and me, I don't think we would continue with it.
I'm sorry you are missing being with your family. I wish they were closer xx
As Daisy says, YEO and your Journal are always there for you to offload in private .

Daisy maybe you need a sports massage? Painful backs are no fun at all.

I hope your in laws are well Nan2.

GS2 will be a little late today as he is having his hair cut this morning. Not too much as we all adore his curls. It is so long he can hardly see now though so has to be done!
GD from school later, GS can stay here with OH.

                  Have a good Friday

Dull here too, rain and gales forecast later.

Clover, youmreally dint need any more stress or G either. I agree with the other ladies, if it’s not doing either of you any good could you not at least have a break from the memory clinic. Please share your thoughts on here, I can’t tell you how much it has helped me just getting stuff of your chest. ((Hug)))).

Things much the same here, no plans for today.

Daisy this will be the 4th top up its not uncommon some only need 1 or 2 but B being B needs more its because his Immune is taking so long to regenerate but otherwise he's fine .
They want to store some more from Martin for the future so will get him in fairly soon , we so grateful as it was far from pleasant for him first time around bless him ,

Forgot to say, good luck to B with his top up. Oma, no I haven’t slept much for the last few nights, but that’s to be expected. I haven’t got much to do today so that’s ok.

Clover, I agree with the others, if the memory clinic is not helping G and the journey is stressful there doesn't seem any point in putting more stress on you both. You must miss your family after a visit.

Enfys, I hope things are looking a bit brighter today but until P has had his next procedure you will find it difficult to feel relaxed. Hope you do get some sleep.

Take care of that poorly back Daisy.

My tooth is still very painful, I am living on painkillers and even then it still throbs, eating is difficult too. got a telephone call booked to speak to my doctor to get his advice, if there is this risk every time I need a tooth out because of the injection for my bones, well I feel I am between the devil and................ I do not have good teeth and they are failing fast. At home today, the dishwasher is arriving this evening.

Plant are you taking ibuprofen? (Maybe you can't because of medication you are on?) When I had a tooth abscess it was the only painkiller which worked for me.
Take it easy today Enfys and Plant.

Not sure about a second Christmas night for the shop Oma, but I think it is a good idea. I follow her FB page, so it will be announced there if so.

I can only take paracetamol because of the warfarin. I used to find Ibuprofen a good painkiller too. Thanks Gemini.

Just having a little rant. Went to GP earlier to discuss results of my ultrasound and what the nest steps should be. Got there only to find she hasn't got the results from the hospital yet. It's over a fortnight since I was seen. This is one of the major teaching hospitals in the country. GP is going to phone me next week with the results...if she's got them!
On a positive note, my bilerubin levels are back to within the normal range!

                                Will be back later!
