I have been to the library for my mum. Back to the cleaning and packing now, and I will go to see her this afternoon.

We didn't make it to Sheffield. To be honest i think hubby really wanted to spend time in the garden.
I know he had his mind set on doing a couple of jobs.
We just went for supermarket shopping. I didn't mind,Sheffield will be there another day.

Afternoon all.

Have a really lovely holiday Gem and S. There’s always so much to remember and do before going away.

We have safely arrived at DD’s after a good journey despite arriving just over an hour late on the coach.Several roads were closed due to accidents including the “old”Severn bridge which diverted miles of extra traffic on to the M4.Though a bit of a nuisance we weren’t in any particular hurry unlike some folk heading to Heathrow and Gatwick.It Just meant SIL had a bit of a wait to pick us up at Reading and drive us the hour to their house.

Tonight we are going to see “The Little Mermaid Jr” put on by the junior branch of the local Am-dram group. GD is co- directing the production. so has been very busy lately.She is also performing in a school production this week as well as working two part time jobs. Exams next week so hope she is managing to fit in a bit of revision as well as going to school

Enjoy the better weather for as for as long as it lasts

Things rarely go to plan do they??
My short trip to Mum's turned into a long one. She has been on at me for ages to find someone to cut back 2 conifers in her back garden. A man happened to drop a leaflet off while I was there and ended up doing them. I regretted agreeing to him doing them today as it took so long
I had to get OH to come over in the end so I could go home!!
All done now thank goodness, and we have eaten.

Clover, good to know you got to DDs ok, enjoy your stay, and Little Mermaid !

If I don't get here in the morning ( we have to leave home at 5.30) will speak to you from Majorca 😊

Hello ladies. Very warm here today and quite humid. I have done lots of,jobs, dinner prepared and just had a shower. We’ve sat in the garden but it’s really too hot for me. P has been pottering but it’s generally an easy day for us today.

Clover, I hope you both enjoy your visit to DDs. How did you like the Little Mermaid? Just over a week to go before our DS and family arrive from Oz.......we will certainly see a huge difference in GS, it’s been 6 years since we saw him.

Oma, just going with the flow today. Been to in laws to see relatives from Wigan.
Hubby busy doing jobs in the garden.
Doing a roast chicken dinner today. Ages since we had it.
Warm here,but i think thunderstorms are forecast for tonight.

Its still overcast and not as warm as it was but still dry thank goodness.

Nanto I love a roast chicken , I like chicken anyway and use lots of Chicken breasts but there is something about a whole chicken roasted that tastes so much better

We are settling in to the busy household of DD.You never know who’s going to be where or when.We had a long walk this afternoon.It was very warm and muggy and poor OH was flagging at the end. He’s recovered now after a cold drink,followed by a cup of tea and a shared custard tart.

Clover I am feeling very happy for you to visiting your DD and family.

Been out all day, went to Birmingham for a 40th wedding anniversary party, it was held in a hall with no natural light so no idea what the weather was like, it was spitting with rain when we came home. Feeling quite cold now. Hope I see the sun tomorrow.
