There is a place in your heart where you are relieved her suffering is over and she is at peace, but the pain of your loss is raw and so acute. If it helps to talk about your dear friend you know you have many friends here who will listen and send you their love. xxx

Grauntie, I echo what Daisy has said. If you gain any comfort from talking about your dear friend, please do so. When a close friend of mine was murdered, I really needed to talk about her. Sometimes it is easier to write things down to be read by others who care, rather than talk to friends and family. If you want to we are here.
Take care, be kind to yourself, and know that in time, you won't feel as bad as you do now, but all your happy memories of your friend will stay with you.

You are all such lovely kind ladies. Thank you so much for your sympathies. I'll be ok. I feel so sad for her family but they are very close and I know they will support each other.
Gem, that is unimaginable. How do you begin to cope with such a thing?Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

GM I know exactly what you are going through. I saw my dearest, lovely best friend slowly loose her battle with ill health. She was not only my best friend but also my DSs MiL , so not only did I grieve for her but our whole family did.
My heart goes out to you. Sending you many, many (((HUGS))) xxBring me sunshine in your smile.
