13 years ago today a dear friend of mine was murdered, along with her 15 year old daughter, in Israel.
They lived on a kibbutz in a 'safe' area and were driving along the road when a group of Hezbollah broke through a fence and murdered the occupants of several cars along that road. It was, and remains the most shocking thing to touch my life.
She was funny and brave, and she refused to let the dangerous country she lived in stop her living her life. I only knew her a short while but she made my life much happier while she was in it. She left a husband, 2 teenaged daughters, and a 12 year old son.
I will never forget her.
