Today Grandson2 finally graduated from the the baby room to the toddler room at nursery. At 22 months he had long outgrown the baby room.

GD went on her first horse riding experience. She is horse mad and been looking forward to this day for ages.

DD told me GD is going to tell me all about it tomorrow

I had lessons many moons ago and enjoyed it. M is horse mad and has been riding for quite a few years. They have yet to sign her on with a school here.

Congratulations to GS2 on his first promotion in life. I hope he enjoys his new environment - I bet there will be lots of exciting things to do and new friends to meet.

I'm sure GD will adore her riding lesson. It could become a passion which sees her mum or dad ferrying her down to the stables at silly o'clock every morning because she wants to 'muck out' just to be around the horses.

There was absolutely no opportunity to learn to ride when I was a child. There weren't any stables around, and it would have been too expensive - quite out of the question. I thought myself lucky when my dad paid for swimming lessons. I think it's great that so many children have more opportunities than we did.

Awww bless him. Getting older already. I once went pony trekking but regretted it that evening. Ouch.🤣

Today as DD was having a not so good day, SIL was taking girls out for some fresh air and to burn off steam. I stayed behind with DD and a!so to catch up on 40 winks. T kicked off about how she didn't want to go out, the park was boring 😱 so said she could stay behind with me. Then a mini tantrum because I said no electronics or TV. She eventually calmed down and sidled up to me with an "I love you gran gran, and I'm sorry" What can you say after that. 😘😍

Aww, LG, You can only say I love you too, T. Bless her. she's having to cope with a lot of changes at the moment - new home, new school, new friends and mummy not being very well. The children must pick up on things and they don't have the same coping mechanisms, do they. I'm sure she'll come through it all ok, but I bet she was glad to have a Nana-cuddle.

They do tug at your heart strings Libra.

As I said in an earlier post I cleaned round before my DD1 & boys came for a sleepover. Long story short by the time they got here I was dripping wet (red hot day) & my hair was all over the place, in fact I'd just sat down.

When they arrived my GS1 gave me a long distance cuddle...you know the one with outstretched arms , bottom sticking out, & space to fit a bus between us (well he is 7😉). He said "Mamar, you look pretty" & I was just about to say thank you when he followed up by saying "awful". We couldn't stop laughing.

Today when GS2 ( 4yrs) & GD ( 18mth) were leaving GS said to his sister "You do Mamar & I'll do GD 1st, then we'll swap". He was of course meaning our kiss & cuddle goodbye.
