Nana - I think it's easy to forget how innocent 4 year olds are and how puzzling much of the world is to them. I think this is especially true in their relationships with other children at school/nursery. It's a huge learning curve for them.

This made me smile. My daughter Michelle sent me this message.
On Wednesday miss marshell was not in school when Emily come home she said miss marshell was not there she was riding a horse, when I took her to srb Thursday miss marshall said to Emily I didn't get to see you yesterday so I said she said u was riding a horse, miss marshell said not a horse I was on a course.

Both GDs were at our house yesterday, and GD2 asked for the water fountain to be switched on - it's a little waterfall going into a reservoir and a little fountain in the middle. She watched it for a while and had a good look round the garden. When she got home she ran in, gave her Daddy a hug and was so excited - "Daddy, Grandma's garden is paradise" she said! It's lovely to get such unequivocable approval! It's a long way off paradise, but so sweet of her to say that.

GS2 knows I am an Elton John fan and asked me why. I answered that I had liked him since I was young.
'Was he around then??' he asked.
I said yes, as he is older than I am.
