Hey Pearl. Total washout ...you and I both in macs only mine is yellow but I have a pink brolly to clash with it.
Couldn't use it though as thunder and lightning was kinda tropical monsoon type so we stayed in a dozed, read, dozed and finally it dried up around 8pm and we shuffled out for wine and tapas !Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. T.S Eliot

Still no sun Pearl, but feeling sorry for all the travellers stuck at Mahon airport trying to get home as a lot of planes have been cancelled over the past 2 days and I suppose that goes for those flying in too? Today we have the winds to add to the pleasure
Very high winds and bending over the trees and again very stormy. OH's daughter's hubby is coming to pick us up this evening to take us back to their village and out to dinner which is lovely and we managed to track down a Tapas Bar last night, when it cleared for a while, which we had visited years ago and was excellent and where the Spanish eat, so we well very pleased.
At least it is still very warm which I hear it is NOT in the UK .....and I have a good book and today I can get Wifi so don't have to keep using the Phone to get online XXXOnly those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. T.S Eliot

Hope you get a full day of sunshine tomorrow, miserable weather especially when your abroad, the sun is what you go for...
Enjoy your night, its been raining on and off here, and is cold, still not cold enough for heating on, but put a blanket over my legs tonight and lit candles, so feeling cosy, heating makes me sleepy too Gemini,How does a child spell Love..........T.I.M.E

Off to Lisbon on Wednesday for 3 nights and then the train down to Lagos for 10 nights. Never been to Lisbon before so looking forward to exploring. Greatly looking forward to the train journey back down to Algarve it takes 4 hours, should get to see a good bit of the countryside.Grandmothers are just antique little girls - author unknown

We went to Lisbon a few years ago, there is a "castle" there and husband insisted that we walked up this whacking great big hill to see it and it was not very impressive at all. We also went into a jewellry exhibition and got thrown out! I had bought a new mobile andthe alarm went off and I didn't know how to stop it. The security guards were very fierce and chucked us out almost physically! When we got to the hotel on the first day they put us in a room which had clearly been used by someone smoking cigars YUK. Got the room changed and whilst I was in the bath the management turned up to show someone else to the room, this happened twice and we ended up going down to reception and complaining. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Avo/Zizi. St George's Castle in Lisbon is where my sister's ashes were scattered. I've been there a few times and also to Lisbon which is a very interesting city Very spread out though and we found it a bit scruffy last time but then that was in the midst of recession and Portugal was suffering a lot. Quite a climb I agree.
