Yes we are off to Menorca to see OH's younger daughter who lives there. We try to get there every 2 years. She doesn't come to UK often and when she does it is to see her mother who is not very well. She has a Spanish partner who we like very much. He owns and runs the largest dog/cat kennels on the Island, and also hold agility training which they win lots of prizes for.
There is still a huge amount of feral cats on the island which are kept as such as they keep the rats down. We find it all very different but realise it is a necessity of sorts. We manage to feed loads of cats when we go! There are local shops, mainly Asian run which sell lots of cat's food at exorbitant prices as they know we Brits never say no to a starving animal. In 2013 I fed a family of females who had all had litters! It was a tad expensive but we thought worthwhile, except poor OH said, what will happen when we leave?
Well, you never know do you. You just do your best when there. Going early September. On the way home visiting more family.Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. T.S Eliot

We have decided to go away in early October but nothing booked as yet. Probably to one of the Canary Islands as I am better in the drier climate and the journey is just about manageable. OH is hoping he picks the right lottery numbers as he received a brochure for all kinds of exciting holidays!xx

We are going on holiday in November as usual. Don't know where to as husband is choosing. Also off to Newcastle this week and husband was talking about a city break sometime in September but we haven't got around to deciding where. I like Barcelona (lucky you Nan2) and we have been to Prague, Rome, Madrid, Paris I have never been to any of the ex Eastern block countries but I hear that some are pretty good.If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

We are off on Saturday on a cruise to the Baltics. Getting excited now! It is our golden wedding anniversary whilst we are away so we will book to go to Marco Pierre Whites restaurant on the actual day. Lots of interesting place to see, including Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallin and two days in St Petersburg. Will be busy this week washing, ironing and packing."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

We haven't been away since May because of the birth of our newest gs we wanted to be around to support mummy and daddy. We are going to Portugal to our apartment 1st September for 16 days and the family are coming whilst we are there. Back to Portugal October starting with a few days in Lisbon and then taking the bus down to Lagos to our place for a week. Then off to St Lucia in January for some winter sun. Must start checking flights for next year....... I really fancy the Baltic cruise Enfys, it is on my to do list. Look forward to hearing all about it.Grandmothers are just antique little girls - author unknown

Oma, we are going with Alla tours. They have very good reviews and so far there are 3 other couples on our tour. I know a lot of the places will be very expensive so we are planning lunch back on the ship after a walk around."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss
