      I've spent many a long hour on Euston station over the years, and I can honestly say it has never reminded me of the pyramids.

        2007

        Torrential rain swept across large parts of the UK at the weekend. Hull was under water, but the flooding spread around the UK with Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire being some of the counties worst affected.

              I didn't realise Tim Henman had tennis players in his family.

                      56-year-old Leslie Merry was knocked off his feet, a rib broken and his spleen ruptured, by a turnip thrown from a passing car in east London. He finally died of respiratory failure brought on by the accident.

                          Two British balloonists battling to be the first to cross the Atlantic got into difficulties half way across the ocean. Their balloon finally collapsed into the sea, just 110 miles from land.
