    Good morning.
Nice and bright but I've heard we could have showers this afternoon.

Hubby out later for his Friday meet up.
Plenty of upstairs cleaning for me to catch up with, so that will keep me out of mischief for a while.

Daisy, over the past month, there has been a lot of traffic lights on our estate for road works. But, nothing looks any different.

      Good Friday morning, everyone.

It's good you'll keep out of mischief, Nanto! The traffic lights are so frustrating. I wouldn't mind if things got better, would you. Enjoy the cleaning.

We've got hazy sunshine this morning, but I think rain is forecast for tomorrow, so I'm keen to get some more work done in the garden. Lots of plants need repotting, and the weeds continue to thrive.

I couldn't do much upstairs, but the kitchen is getting a good fettle. It's surprising how far the dust travels.
Also got a load of washing out.

Hope you get your gardening done.

          Afternoon ladies,
We are back , we set off after breakfast roads were quiet but the road going the other way was backed up ,
There was a nasty motorbike accident on the other carriageway,
Bike parts everywhere and a group of people attending to the biker,
Several other bikers were on the side of the road,

Emergency services were having trouble getting through the traffic jam.

We are having a cupper then I will tackle the case and get the washing put in the basket,
I will wash tomorrow and fingers crossed get it out on the line, that's if the weather is like today ,
          It's lovely here.

          I will pop back later.

            Hello everyone.

            Dust gets everywhere Nan2.

Welcome back Oma. I hope everyone was OK in that accident.

Always plenty to do in the garden at this time of year Daisy.

I can't say good morning as I didn't make it here in time! Little E to look after followed by late morning aqua class filled my time. I have just hung a load of washing out as its so nice again.
I don't know it it cold or hayfever, but my throat is sore . I will glad when it passes whatever it is!

Just read the motorbike rider was a 60 yr old woman, it said she was taken to hospital but didn't say how badly she was hurt.

I hope it's just hay fever and not a cold or you won't get to see DD3
Are they home yet and did they have a good time ? Xx

                Nanto
How has today's works gone , is it almost finished ?

                Daisy
Did you get any gardening done?
Thank you for the card xxx

We hadn't been home long when GS turned up ,
That boy can't go long without seeing us 😁
He stayed quite a while ,
Once he had gone I hand washed a couple of cardigans and got them out on coat hangers to dry.
B hoovered the garden but I think he was wasting his time as leaf husks and blossom is still falling ,

Nanto, I always think dust can travel to places you don't even know exist. Well doe on getting to grips with the kitchen though.

Oma, welcome home. I do hope the lady biker is ok. It sounds like a horrible accident. Washing can always wait if it's wet tomorrow. I'm sure you were very pleased to see GS. You m ust miss him as much as he misses you. It always makes me smile when you mention hoovering the garden. .

Gem, you've had a busy time. I hope you're not getting a cold. You had a sore throat fairly recently, but I can't remember if it developed into a cold or was hayfever. You're under a lot of stress and I think that makes you more susceptible to anything. I hope you can relax and get some rest over the long week-end. Is it DD3's birthday get together this week-end?

It's been a lovely day here after a cloudy start. We spent the whole afternoon gardening - mainly repotting plants that had got too big for their pots. I've done some much-needed tidying up as well. OH did the heavy lifting and ended up with a stiff neck. Petals are falling like know off the crab apple tree, and the sticky bits off the horse chestnut get trodden everywhere. We had a tea and bikky break and sat in the sunshine, listening to the birds. OH thought he saw a bird fly out of the nest box, but thought it could have just been flying down the side of the house. I alway keep an eye on the box, hoping it gets used, but I'd seen no activity this year. Then suddenly a bird flew in, and a few minutes later it was followed by another. Hopefully they are rearing chicks.

I took Eva out for a walk about 8 pm, and it was lovely. A nice breeze, but not cold, and the birds were still chirping away. It's a lovely time of year.

Nice and bright, but i think it's forecast to be cooler today.

We are going to Wakefield today. Don't need much, but it gets us out for a while.

The bathroom will be finished on Tuesday. Trim needs putting on the plastic ceiling and the door needs a new frame.
Flooring is ordered but hubby wants to paint the door before the flooring is done.

                    Have a good day ladies.

                      Morning Nanto, ladies.

It rained overnight and it's still a bit damp but the sun is peeping out,
DD and Storm coming this morning but I want to go to M&S for opening,
I wouldn't attempt to get in the car park any later on a weekend.

                      Daisy
How lovely to have the birds nesting , do you know what kind they were?
Next door used to have a wren came back every year but nothing for the past two years ,
For a little bird they are noisy though 😁

                      Nanto
It sounds like it's going to be very posh when it's finished ,
I hope you like the results.,

DD had a large summerhouse and attached shed in her garden ,
They knocked it down on Wednesday as she wants more growing space for veg ,
They are also changing the astro turf,
They hired a skip ,I was shocked at the price Β£350 to hire

SIL said if it wasn't for the hassle of emptying his van then having to clean it and put everything back again after, he would have paid the van fee and taken it too the tip himself .

Two halves of one evil really,
Pay for the skip or have all the work with the van,

                        Good morning ladies.

Have a nice shopping trip Nan2, no sun at all here and none forecast I don't think.

Skips are expensive Oma. When we emptied my mums house we used our local council scheme where they will collect 10 large items from your drive for something like Β£20. Much cheaper option

It is a lovely time of year Daisy, I agree.
Our friends A and G called in yesterday afternoon and we all had a cuppa in the garden. Usually I would have been on the school run most of the afternoon, but GS2 was at a sleepover so a rare Friday afternoon at home for me.

I think I have a cold not hayfever sadly. It so DD'3s birthday celebration for the family today, which DD2 is hosting. DD3 is having a few different nice things between now and her birthday on Tuesday, but this is the only one I was involved with. I am so sad not to be able to go but I don't think we can risk it even if we are outdoors

Oh dear Gemini, I hope the cold you think is developing isn’t too bad. Your resistance must be low. I hope your girls have had a nice time, what a close family you have.

Oma, we had a very early blue tits brood and I notice birds are in and out again.

Nanto, I expect you will be pleased when the bathroom is finished so you can enjoy it. Enjoy your shop.

Daisy, I had a gardener here yesterday, he is very nice and very good but he only gets about half done what I would get done in 2 hours. I dare not garden apart from pots as I am not very stable.

Those of you who met my lovely GS3 some years ago now might be interested that he has now moved from London to Cheltenham. He has bought a Victorian/Edwardian terrace house. He wants me to go for a visit, not sure if it is possible in a day. Cheltenham is a lovely town.
