It's been another cold day here and while DD and I were walking the dog, the rain started! Doggo does NOT like the rain so he headed straight back towards the car! He was persuaded to do another couple of laps of the field before we too had had enough and we headed home for a warming drink. He's with me tomorrow so I'm hoping for decent weather so I can leave the doors open so he can go out and in without me having to be a doorman!

DD and I are having a weekend in Amsterdam at the end of next month. Haven't been back there for quite a few years so we're both looking forward to our trip. DD has booked tickets for Keukenhof, but not sure what else we'll be doing. It's Koningsdag while we're there so I've got my orange t-shirt ready to wear!

Quiet week coming up as schools are on holiday and my classes have finished for the Easter holiday too. I'm sure I'll manage to fill in the days!

Have a good evening ladies and take care! x

Good morning. Still windy here. Had rain overnight.

I've made a start on home made ready meals.
All the ingredients in slow cooker for beef stews.
I'll get some more done in the week.

                Morning ladies

                Nanto
Its nice to have home made meals in the freezer ,
Beef in the allow cooker will be so tender.

It's bright but that wind is very cutting,
We went to B&M this morning, nearly blew off our feet,

Got a message from the door manufacturer in Ireland , the doors won't leave the factory till the 10th of April now ,
B rang the fitter he said not to worry it often happens and he will re arrange his diary to fit us in when they arrive,

DD said Storm is much brighter this morning so on the mend.

                Gem
I hope DD has had a good night and is resting xxx

                Plant
                Enjoy your lunch, xx

                    Good Monday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I bet your kitchen smells wonderful with the meat in the slow cooker. You've reminded me I need to tidy the chest freezer before the dog food delivery on Saturday.

Gem, how is DD3 this today. I hope she had a good rest and slept well.

Lizzie, it's always one of my priorities - "is it easy to clean?" I hate fiddly cleaning jobs. Riding a bike in a cold wind must chill you right through. I hope the girls had had a good night out.

Oma, I'm glad your SIL can help with those lights. Otherwise I can picture B swinging Tarzan-style across the kitchen. It sounds as though your shoulder is still painful. It's a shame you've got to wait a bit longer for your new kitchen doors. Did you get what you wanted from B&M? I think Vets4Pets is good - mostly their resident vets seem to be kind and caring. Well done to Storm. He's being very brave and I hope his leg soon heals.

Plant, did you enjoy your lunch in the village hall. Was it a hot meal? We've still got that cold wind, but it's not quite so bad and the sun is warmer.

Time seems to be going very quickly today. I started this post over half an hour ago, but I got interrupted by the ring door bell - something blew against it I think. There was no-one there but Eva does her duty and defends us with ferocious barking. You wouldn't think what a softie she is, but she's got a loud piercing voice. Then the window cleaner arrived. We stopped for a coffee with him. He's lovely and likes a quick chat, and a cuddle with Eva!

OH had a telephone appointment with a nurse from the Eye Department first thing. There was a tiny bleed showing on the last scan, and the nurse rang to reassure him it wasn't close to the vision area and he didn't need any injections at present. He's going for a different sort of scan on Wednesday, and I've finally persuaded him to see the GP, which is next Tuesday. We seem to be spending a lot of time just looking after ourselves these days!

Hallo everyone, 2 hail showers in the last few hours, I was caught up in them both!! It is cold Daisy, especially with the wind.

I got stocked up on some shopping yesterday and I like to store them in the shed, I have a special rack there for that purpose, with things being heavy I took my bike that way, oh dear, the paving for that door had sunk so much I had to lift the bike up to get in. I did coffee this morning, came home and took some photo's, I made a report on the council site at 12am, with photo's, I have just been to the Lidl, I arrived home and the men are busy with the paving!!! That is very fast work!!!

WG, I hope that you both enjoy Amsterdam, you won't have to worry about the language, no-one speaks Dutch in the cities!! Restaurants, stores etc are all English spoken.

Plant, I hope that you have enjoyed the lunch.

Oma, not long to wait for the doors really. Have you heard anything about the hospital visit yet?

Gem, I hope that all went well with DD3.

That is quick and efficient of the council,
I doubt that would happen here ,
No no news from the hospital , it's a waiting game,

I'm ok with waiting for the doors everything else is getting done without having to rush , like the painting etc ,

                        Daisy
At least Eva will alert you of anyone at the door, Storm doesn't even raise his head 🀣
Hopefully Js eye is ok sometimes you can get little bleeds but with his eye problems it's always best to be checked.

How are you feeling after your treatment on Friday?

I managed to spend more than I intended in B&M but I did get some more nice plant pots to match the ones I got last year.

Lunch in village hall, very good, shepherds pie. Parking very difficult as Keep Fit also taking place in another room. We have a very large vill hall (several rooms) Good managers.

Oma, kitchen refurb. Coming along, shame about the wait for the doors.

Daisy, my hospital and doctors visits seem to have increased but at least they are looking after you and your OH.

                              Hello everyone
Sorry for the late check in!
I was spending time with DD3 thous morning before my aquae class, and since then have been busy.
DD is fine, she wanted to come here as she was a bit anxious about catching little Es cold as it was a poor weather day so they wold have been inside together. He goes to DD1 today then nursery or our house the following days, so she wont be as exposed.

Last night I cut my finger badly on the electric carving knife blade as I was was washing up. I couldn't stop it bleeding despite elevation and pressure for ages. I texted G and A, who had been round that afternoon to see if they had any steri strips. They did and brought them round and A, a nurse applied it for me. I did aqua with 2 plastic glove fingers taped on with micropore tape and kept my right hand out of the water as much as I could!

Typing is a bit hard with my right index finger out of acti9n so I can't reply to everything.

It's been another cold day in our house! The third day without gas which means no heating. Wednesday and Thursday being the previous two. We are assured it's back for good now.
Now to get the hole outside filled in. We have had to ( with difficulty) had to find places to park both cars since Wednesday.as we can't get onto the drive.
Three to four days we were told today
