They are not tiles Gem, it is a solid granite floor.

      Afternoon ladies,
We have spent the morning at DDs with Storm,
He is a lot brighter than he was with his first op,
He woke DD at 4 this morning crying in pain but soon settled after his pain killers,
He still managed his treats I took though 😁

Good Saturday morning, everyone. Apologies again for the late information about the maintenance work, but everything seems to be ok.

Gem, I think a lot of people use buggies on our local golf courses, unless it's too wet and then they can't even take a trolley. They are certainly very useful, especially on a day out where you can be walking further than you expected. Enjoy your evening with your friends. I hope the GP will give S better pain relief for her hip, and something safer than Ibuprofen.

Lizzie, it's so satisfying when you get a job done that's been on your mind for ages. Well done. It was kind of the owner of the DIY shop to cut the wood and finish it off nicely. It will make your panniers much steadier and easier to load your shopping bags into. Putting a covering of something like Fablon on will keep them nice and clean. It used to be sold for covering wooden shelves back in the day, so it should be ideal for what you want. Your shower room is lovely and and certainly doesn't look 27 years old. I bet you're glad you kept the granite floor.

Oma, poor Storm. He's being very brave but he must think his world has been turned upside down. At least Grandma keeps the treats coming. It's good news that the first operation is successful and healing well. Is he having physio to build up the muscles again? I suppose some things will have to wait until the second operation is healing. When we were at the vets the other day, she was giving us lots of different exercises for Eva, and my face must have dropped because she said very hastily they didn't all have to be done every day - it's just the variety and getting a range of movements. Thank goodness.

It's sunny here, but a very cold wind, which puts me off gardening. We had a very short shower, but were able to cover up the things out of the caravan ok. The service man said let him know when we want to sell it. It's very old and not very fashionable now, but new flooring and upholstery would transform it, but would cost more than we want to spend on it. It's very sturdy and much heavier than modern caravans, but OH's car tows it easily. It needs new brake shoes (calipers? not sure) which he'll come and do next week. Otherwise it's all ok.

I've got lots of little jobs to do round the house, so I think today is a good day to do some of them. No pressure, which is nice.

          Good afternoon.

Sunny here, but a very cold wind.

Been into town and met up with DS2,then wnt and had 10 minutes with DIL, while she was on her break.

          Lizzie,your shower room looks nice.

I'm looking forward to our bathroom being done, but not looking forward to all the mess.

Wishing a speedy recovery for brave Storm.

Went out to lunch with DD, Sil, Granddauughter and H. They walked to the venue, I met them there, they walked through the woods and fields. Craft fair later organised by a friend, I stocked up with cards made by two talented ladies.

Nanto, we had sunshine too but very cold.

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Nanto, I don't envy you the mess of getting. your bathroom done, but I suppose you have to just focus on the lovely end result. I hope it all goes smoothly.

Plant, I'm sure you all had a good time having lunch together, and I bet H was excited. How lovely to find the perfect hand-made cards, especially when they are local.

Oma, at least Storm has some compensations - I bet he enjoyed the chew stick. Thank you for the photo.

Our short shower (mentioned earlier) turned into hail with a couple of showers later on. The trouble with doing lots of little odd jobs is that there's nothing much to show for the effort! Never mind, at least I've got a few items ticked off my mental to-do list.

I took Eva out just before tea, and the vet had said we would let her off lead a bit now. We went down her favourite muddy paths (thankfully more or less dry now) onto the Forest. Coming back she was on lead but managed to stumble on an uneven grassy area. Her leg seems to be ok, thank goodness.

Good morning on the first day of British summer time.
It's still breezy but not as bad as yesterday.

Daisy, glad Eva is ok after her little stumble yesterday.

Oma, pleased Storm is doing ok after his operation.

Off to get braising steak and onions in the slow cooker.

                    Good morning everyone.

                    That's a cheery clock Nan2

I bet you were a bit worried when Eva stumbled Daisy. Thank goodness she was OK.

That sounded a nice afternoon Plant.

Aww, bless Storm Oma. I'm sure your treats will aid his recovery!

Oh granite floor Lizzie, very nice.

I didn't change any clocks at bedtime, but I did remember when I woke up and if not my phone would have put me right! I have now moved them forward in the living room, dining room and kitchen. Fingers crossed OH doesn't get up and do the same

We had lovely evening at our friends house. Shepherds pie which is one of my favourites and they had cooked a delicious one.
No plans today apart from some other friends, A and G, calling in at some point this afternoon for cuppa and catch up.

I will get myself back to Sunday deep water aqua at some point!

                      Morning ladies

                      Nanto
Just what we need a nice cheerful clock for the first day of British summertime,
Is the braised steak for dinner or to freeze?

                      Gem
                      I like a good shepherd's pie,
Funnily enough I'm not keen on cottage pie , must be the beef mince ,
Isn't it nice when someone else cooks😁
                      Have a nice day xxx

                      Daisy
Oh I bet your heart missed a beat when Eva stumbled,
                      I know mine would of,
The photo of Storm isn't good , I'm useless taking photos with my wobbly hands and I never get it quite in focus ,
But you could see him that's what matters 😁

Yesterday I washed down my kitchen cupboard doors,
The sun was shining in and you could see all the splash marks etc,
B said why bother they getting changed in a couple of weeks,
Yes but we have to live with them till then don't we ,
Men have a different logic don't they.

                      Plant
Did H enjoy her time with Daddy?
I bet GD was pleased to get her back.

How nice to find someone who makes nice cards ,
Of all the crafts I have done over the years , card making never was one I was interested in ,but I do appreciate the work that goes into them.

                      Lizzie
The granite floor will never need changing , you don't find them now do you , lucky you .
Your shower cubicle is perfect isn't it and places to put your shampoos etc.

Not much happening today, I have a wash on and I have done my jobs,
GS coming later , so just relaxing with a cup of tea.

I went to have a shower this morning and the water was cold then realised when I was cleaning it yesterday I had turned the temperature knob down,
Panic over I thought it was broken .

The cream on Bs head for the skin cancer is starting to turn his brow very red , but at least we know it's doing its job,
They said it would get worse before it gets better,
I remember mine going like that , I was very self conscious when we went out,
Being a man it's not bothering B , he said he isn't entering any beauty contests 😁

Good morning, Oma, many years ago I saw a wall in a shower at a friends, luckily after curtains, screen, cubicle etc our lovely neighbour offered to do it for us, in fact the unit was a gift from DS2 for all the good care over the years!!!! It was at that time that he moved to Rotterdam. I still love the floor, many years ago, 55 in fact we moved into our first flat, all the sink and draining unit was granite, they should have kept them!!! Black and white checked sink, memories!!!

Plant, card making was very popular here, like Oma, it never interested me. There are hobby stalls here in the village twice a month, all crafts, there are still card makers out there!

It is much warmer than it has been, luckily!

I have done some (stock) shopping so now need to go down in the shed and get it organised.

I have seen people with that cream on their faces Oma, it does seem to help.

I will get down into the shed.

Good Start of Summertime morning, everyone.

Nanto, I like braising steak, but I never seem to make a good job of cooking it. Enjoy yours. Yes, I was very relieved when Eva seemed to be ok after her stumble.

Gem, changing clocks can get very confusing. I leave OH's chiming bracket clock to him. I don't even wind it up, because I'm sure I'd break it. I'm glad you had a good time at your friends' last night, and the Shepherd's pie sounds delicious. DD3 is probably very tired and needs a bit of TLC from Mum. I do hope she's ok.

Oma, I can understand B saying to leave the kitchen cupboards, but I know it would annoy you to see them less than spotless. I've tried making cards, but I'm useless at it! I never seem to have an idea in my mind and they end up looking like a 5 year old's efforts. How long has b got to use the cream for? I had t use it for a month, and it was horrible. That area of my face still goes red very easily, especially when I've had treatment at the hospital. I think it's possibly caused by the steroids, as it disappears after a couple of days. I hope B's skin heals up quickly. Men don't seem to worry about such things, do they.

Lizzie, having somewhere to put toiletries in the shower is so useful. We've got a very small shelf which holds shower gel, shampoo and conditioner - just. It's a bit high for me but we had it put to line up with large tiles. Granite is amazing - lasts for ever, I'm sure. I've never seen a checked sink before. Was it difficult to clean? The surround and work top look very solid.

Plant, it feels much warmer here today, so I hope it's the same for you. That wind was so cold, wasn't it. Is H on school holidays now?

No plans for me today, except some admin. Much against my principles (I don't like being manoeuvered into joining something for the "wrong" reason) I'm going to join Forestry England. They are going to bring in car parking charges across our Forest. These are car parks I use a lot for dog walking etc, but if you're an FE member you park for free. Financially it's the sensible thing to do, and will save endless problems with paying every time you use a car park. To say nothing of the hassle when you're using a car park with little or no reception. We've also reluctantly decided to change from the vets we've been with for over 40 years. It's now owned by one of the big three who are buying up practices all over the country and are run by non-vets who have a very different perspective on how they operate. Sometimes progress isn't the right word!!!

He has to use it for 2 months I think ,
I can't remember how long I used it for but it was a long time,
I have the same thing if I'm very hot my patch goes quite pink.
All for the greater good though isn't it.

I think your wise to join it will save on the hassle of parking fees ,

DD uses Vets 4. Pets, another big corporation but the vet is lovely there and Storm likes him,

We have just been to see him again,
He is actually putting weight on his leg today ,
Walking very slowly with a limp but managing so much better than we expected,
                              He enjoyed treats again 😁

                              Lizzie
Such lovely granite and the sink was so unusual .

DD needs some care and quiet time with her Mum ,
It's lovely that she feels that way , give her a hug from us xxx

It's freezing cold here, the wind has whipped up and we are getting spots of rain,
I think we are heading for stormy weather.

Daisy, as good as my memory is, the sink was easy to keep clean.

I have been on the bike to GS1, a very cold wind! The GD's had been out together and with friends last night, they were just waking as I arrived.
